Journalist and author Matt Hongoltz-Hetling returns to the show to discuss his new book If It Sounds Like a Quack…A Journey to the Fringes of American Medicine. We discuss the history and rise to prominence of fringe medicines, how alternative medicine shifted from being the provenance of the left-wing to the right-wing, and how the various failures and inequities of the American healthcare system allow scam medicine to flourish.

Tickets for our live shows in BOTH Montreal and Toronto available here at: https://www.chapotraphouse.com/live

Let’s go

Nbsp1

This is so weird, I just listened to his last episode again. You're welcome, everyone

Kentucky Shitlib

Rightwingers getting scammed by fake medicine could be a good thing.

Alex Brooks

The fellas would probably love Dildo Nfld in July. Probably one of the best places to experience earth’s “Tulkins”. My mother lives about 35 minutes from those two signs on the Canadian tour page.

etienne

every political isssue we have right now is like "okay we can just nationalize this and reverse 20 years of massive corporate underinvestment and it'l be difficult but basically fine" - "no" - "okay we're going to be incredibly stupid about it" "hell fucking yes"

pdschmidty

Jim Humble sighting! What up to Commentiquette.

Jay Bee Jay

Ok, controversial statement, but this episode made me like 4% less gay. WTF boys

J-Lo

Hey Lore Heads,

Skwilly

Thank guys - shitting myself rn

UltraCoil

When my father got cancer, he got into the 'Gerson Method', a quack cancer treatment fixated on cleansing and purging. He was one of the smartest people I knew, practical and level-headed, but he'd watched his partner and some siblings die of cancer and was desperate for any chance to avoid that path. The libertarian 'personal choices' thing is bullshit in any context, but in the medical context it is disastrously wrong and is the most emphatic case for regulation. We talked him out of it by digging into the quacks and their history/success rate, and he made it many years more than he would have if he'd started putting coffee up his ass (something they recommend). Suffice to say I am very interested in this episode and I'm gonna buy the book. This stuff and scams is only going to get more prevalent as the state falters and this scum moves in as modern bandits.

Simon

Really good episode. Matt's comments about conspiracy theory confusing the literal and metaphor made me think you should do a screening of or episode on The 'Burbs because that movie was really ahead of its time on that front.

Mr Boof

Medicine Show by Big Audio Dynamite (Mick Jones post-Clash band)

Chauncey Roach

Thanks. I knew it sounded really familiar.

Brady

Nice, I remember this guy. I think he was the only Chapo guest who ever successfully sold me on his book, the libertarian bear book was a lot of fun.

Michael S. Judge

I haven't fallen into quack shit, at least not that I'm aware of, but I can tell you that forced familiarity with doctors (and not *only* in this medical system) will teach you to mistrust and hate them, even if you're lucky enough to do it without going broke. A huge percentage of the worst things in my life have happened because "fully qualified" psychiatrists submitted me to insane treatment regimens, either because they were pissed off that they couldn't figure me out or because they thought I was an interesting test case and just wanted to experiment on me. I'm not defending the holistic goblins who get Christian cancer patients to drink bleach and shit their intestinal linings as "parasitic worms," but I think "medical system" has to be understood in a wider context – not just who pays for it and how much, but what exactly a credentialed doctor feels it's his/her right to DO to you. I've lost years of my life to, for example, a doctor cross-prescribing me 3 separate drugs that all had fatal contraindications with each other, a doctor prescribing a drug for something minor that massively exacerbates something much much more important, a doctor asking for a list of my present prescriptions and, minutes later, giving me a pill that combined with my normal medications to give me crippling serotonin syndrome, which he would've known if he'd READ the fucking list. It's not strictly a matter of competence vs. incompetence, and massive industry landing on the side of the former. This country is filled with complete dipshit useless "doctors" – particularly within the field of psychiatry – who don't listen to anything you say, don't read any of the information they solicit, don't know how to "treat" you any way but the most basic freshman-level "If X, then Y" drug approach, and, if you resist any aspect of their Program for Your Fucking Life, treat you like either a misbehaving child or a clinical moron. Fuck the quacks, yes, but fuck about 70% of the "qualified physicians" out there too.

Ian H

As the father of a nine-month-old, I was intensely distracted by Matt HH's baby calling in the background. Great ep though.

Major bit me

Before Covid medical malpractice was the 3rd leading cause of death in America, plus even if they don’t kill you wayyyy too many doctors push surgeries on people who don’t need them. I guarantee everyone knows someone who was fucked up in some way by a doctor or surgeon, if they haven’t had issues themselves.

jack flowers

Yeah a girl I know went into shepard pratt to safely transition onto a new antidepressant over like 2 weeks and they kept her for over 2 months basically because they thought she was too irritable and wanted to experiment with different mood stabilizers she had no interest in or need for

LEAH NELSON

I have a bachelors of science in biology and I teach hs and the discourse of “science is fake actually” has been driving me insane!!! Great, focused episodes and awesome commentary by the boys. Great guest!

October

Read this book a few weeks ago, and it was good. Not as good as the Libertarian bear one... but fucking close.

Tom

So much info is fake that they aren't wrong in their reaction. Hard to imagine not checking out as a teacher if you have to undo learning before you can do your job.

kenton

The author is really fat LOL ok health expert

kenton

Sick of being chided by ppl who don’t even fucking exercise

Whucko Jaang

Why don't you research, write and edit AND walk.

Whucko Jaang

excellent topic of discussion, muffins.

My sisters husband had an aunt that went to dr. Burzinski who runs an alternative cancer trwatment clinic in Houston and is fairly prominent in the city's medical community, for a quack that is. She had breast cancer and didnt want to do the chemo and radiation. I remember when he first told me about it he said she was feeling great and that it looked like the cancer was about to be gone. Then a year later i asked about her and she had found out that now her cancer was fatal and she was just trying to figure out what to do with her time left alive. I cant imagine how i would feel if this happened to me.

William

Real fucking genius right here- you need to be thin to know how the healthcare system works

William

It’s not

Matty C

Remember: a large portion of Americans are only “whatever”-wing because of their environment and social circles. Meemaw in Kentucky does not deserve to be hooked to the torture sphere because she voted for a Republican or centrist Dem.

William

I am legit healthier and in better athletic shape than you, so you have to listen to me when I tell you to fuck off

JV

"episodes since felix compared something to dark souls: 000"

Henry

Really great episode. I think it would be worth unlocking this one. Not that it will change anyone's minds regarding vaccine skepticism or whatever, but I dunno, it's a good conversation.

Jaime Christley

Good episode! And now to peruse the replies on the Patreon, which will all be normal.

Doug Cartel

light can heal? brb im gonna fly into the sun

Jacob Curley

Do not, my friends, become addicted to healing lasers.

Zach H.

You mean to tell me I’ve been giving to this Patreon when I could have bought patent medicines made with snake venom and turpentine instead? More the fool am I.

PitMommy

Reminds me of the classic Warrior Cop thread of local doctors crashing their aircraft

Post Void

I'm not kidding here, I've heard Rogan support that method before.

etienne

Matt Hotline-Bling

Karl Childers

this is an excellent interview, please consider unlocking it for non-patrons because i have at least two dumbass friends who really need to hear this

etienne

Big Patreon doesn't want you to have this episode. It's too good for your health

Jason Chapa

I was going to ask them to unlock it yes.

T

It’s always amusing to hear the anecdotal data that Americans - the fattest fucks in human history - don’t like their doctor because their doctors deliver the diagnosis that the patients are fat fucks.

Woke Batou

We all got dumbasses that need to hear this

T

Psychiatry is for med students who fail to match into any other residency program. It is literally the bottom of the barrel for doctors.

Nolan

“Doctors HATE him”

rough customer

You have the same attitude toward people that most doctors do.

Kamran Husain

more episodes need a crying baby in the background, it’s an impactful soundtrack for the delightful slop

More Human than Human

It would be VERY helpful if the entire hospital system wasn’t run 99.99% by medical residents who are literal indentured servants working 100 hours a week being driven to suicide and the brink of insanity. Meanwhile overseen by a CEO and vampire administrators making 8x what the medical residents are making. The university hospital in Denver is 100% run by residents who make around 15$ an hour

Dustin Nelson

Ayyy Bear Book guy! Thought I recognized that name, love it

Dustin Nelson

Hopefully it's one of the youtube appearing ones

Lcfitz

This is why nurse practitioners need full practice authority and why the AMA fight so hard against it. Support the nurses in your state to get full practice authority, sign petitions etc

Dustin Nelson

Does Arnica help with muscle swelling pain in most cases? I think some of that kind of stuff does do something tangible but is unreliable/doesn't work on everyone

Jake Zydek

my dudes you are now science communicators! For real though, maybe you should check out David Gorski at science based medicine dot com. He's a real pro and as even incorporated some pretty lefty ideas into his writings over the past year or so. If you guys did a collab it would be epic.

T

Would you want to be treated by a doctor with a decade of medical training or an NP with 6 weeks of training?

——

Haven’t listened yet. Is will, a man that’s simultaneously a toddler and a geriatric, cucking for big pharma again in this ep ?

Lcfitz

You seem to be very confused about medical training lol…not sure where you got a decade or 6 weeks from.

BryceSprungstein

I'm going to have check your BMI before I believe that

Jaime Christley

I know someone who switched careers to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. It was a 3-year program and it was basically med school without dissecting cadavers. It was insanely dense, and a lot of her classmates couldn’t cut it. And this was at a silly ol’ community college, the kind that we love to look down on

Jaime Christley

Maybe it takes 6 weeks to secure your license from the state but as for training, pretty sure that’s a different story.

T

The proliferation of NP’s (who require permanent MD supervision btw) is just another example of the dilution of medical and scientific practice that this entire episode is discussing. And ultimately who does NP proliferation serve? For profit health care companies by cutting expenses.

T

No, but he is struggling to decide whether doctors are fat shaming monsters or life saving miracle workers.

Jaime Christley

buddy, I’m really not trying to be an asshole, but there’s almost nothing in what you’re saying here.

Of course

I have had "real doctors" give me longterm dangerous drugs and at least one major unnecessary surgery. On several occasions, I've dealt with "real doctors" who would not examine or deal with my poc partner or, when I did direct care work, adults with disabilities. And, of course, when I was younger in the 1980s to mid-90s, three "real doctors" asked if I had "weird sex" (aka, was gay) and one recommended conversion. All but one or two "real doctors" are cold and rude, and many have been awful. Single Payer is needed, but as Cuba discovered, isn't remotely sufficient: doctors would need COMPLETE re-training.

Cooper Rodgers

I imagine being told to stop being fat in a country designed to make you fat would go down a little easier if you didn't have to pay for the privilege. But this goes back to a point from an earlier chapo interview- making healthcare a public good incentives actual solutions to public health issues- in this case regulating agribusiness and getting people out of their cars. It's cliche, but I lost weight in europe (while eating and drinking like an animal) like everyone else does because you can walk everywhere

Cooper Rodgers

I basically read legal cases and summarize them for a living, so practicing lawyers don't have to. When I get to pick my cases, you know I am picking every one with the words Beechcraft or Cessna in the title

Lcfitz

In the following states Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, & Wyoming do NOT require any MD supervision (btw). Also, the point of this episode was fringe medicine. NPs operate under the same scientific bounds and ideas MDs aka evidence based practice. You are very confused my friend.

Steeeeve

Unironically using cucking as a pejorative is friendless behaviour

Karl Childers

the extemely high price of health care in america means most people won't see a doctor until their situation is already REALLY bad, past the point where preventative care is possible. on top of that, there is very little profit to be made on preventative care but tons to be made on more extreme treatments, so everyone on both sides of the equation is incentivized to let the patient's health get as bad as possible without outright killing them

Cooper Rodgers

The inability to consider whether a person has good aspects and bad aspects is a classic sign of a high iq. I tip my hat to you

Tim McNaughton

I'm an ER doctor (MD). "ultimately who does NP proliferation serve? For profit health care companies by cutting expenses" T is correct: The issue isn't WHO is taking care of you, the issue is who is PROFITING from your illness. Cutting doctor salaries is NOT likely to make medicine higher quality. Can we stop bashing doctors and look more closely at PhRMA and for-profit insurance? I think the real reason to protect MD/DO salaries is to stop the brain drain into the finance sector.

Karl Childers

ok but the only way to sustain wages for doctors that are competitive with the pure theft of the finance sector is to charge prices for healthcare that are exponentially higher than the rest of the world, which really sounds more like a problem than a solution to me. maybe my health shouldn't be dependent on buying off priveleged pricks who tell me "make it worth my while or else i'm gonna go work for JP Morgan and make sure you can never own a house"

Lcfitz

Some would argue the “proliferation” of NPs serve low income patients, rural areas, women, POC, and migrants.

Kryn Benski

Haven’t listened yet, but

Kryn Benski

Sorry, that’s actually a good place to stop that comment for now***

Kvvvy

I can say for a fact that the starting salory is not remotely $300 Grand in many specialties. And by the way many, many doctors DO NOT want things to be this way. Believe it or not, providers can get screwed by the insurance companies too. I normally enjoy their cynicism, but when they're out of their depth like this, it's deeply irritating

Michael

“The cons rise to the top.” RFK JR knows that first hand being Joe Kennedy’s grandson.

Aaron L

LMAOO I’m a Lytle too 😂 not directly related to Gary tho. And ya the guest is right, it’s ‘Lie-tul’ but don’t worry Chapo boys, everyone always says ‘Little’

Jaime Christley

Nobody's going to argue with "For-profit health care companies cutting expenses." so I'll just drop a load of howling bullshit and use that as my wrap-up.

Nomad22

Fuck RFK Jr., seriously. He combines all the worst elements of our politics into one person.

Karl Childers

lets be real, this counter does not need three digits

More Human than Human

Holy shit just realized the sodium chloride the latest thing my crank uncle has been doing. I think that’s it at least. He orders it off Amazon and eBay, it’s use in tiny amounts to preserve foods as it inhibits bacteria I guess. He dilutes it himself and drinks it. And apparently you mess that up you’re screwed. He’s also STILL on the horse paste. He’s always been a huge crank but didn’t know one of his crankeries was from an alien from the andromeda galaxy

T

It’s pretty hard to stomach especially when you consider what physicians have done for America since the spring of 2020

——

Is he demonstrating a strange level of trust for and dismissing criticism of, maybe the most evil industry in the world? I was kind of ironically talking like an extremely online zoomer like they do on the show.

Nomad22

The psychiatrist who treated my when I was in middle school (late 90s) ended up getting busted by the DEA for overprescribing. He also got involved with a scandal (which I think temporarily caused him to lose his license until he took a class on medical ethics) during which a patient he started dating pulled a gun on him at the mansion he bought. As for me, I ended up cycling in and out mental hospitals for four years until they “stabilized” my medication by taking me off it and having me change schools.

Jennifer Reft

He made this point-the *only* thing mainstream medicine has going for it, is that it has the best medical interventions that we have (and not always that.) I'm a physical therapist and I've worked in the medical field for 30 years, and both my parents were in the field as well (not doctors). Much about the medical system completely sucks. It's my personal opinion if we had a truly accessible system for all (that is took the money aspect of it) that would solve about 50% of the problems-the other half consists of systemic problems related to the culture and other issues.

Jennifer Reft

Great episode-I can't emphasize Matt's point enough-the "alternative medicine" types are all about the money as well. Regarding doctors the economist Dean Baker has written much about how the profession has designed the system to ensure the high salaries they have through low supply/high demand. He has also written a lot about liberating IP to decrease medicine. He has a free book https://deanbaker.net/books/rigged.htm

MKatieUltra

Yeah I lived with a pediatrician who told me that after he paid his loans, we had the same take home pay

MKatieUltra

Love SBM, except for the one TERF (RIP). Gorski is legit.

MKatieUltra

Steve Jobs had a probably curable cancer and died because he thought he knew better and could cure it with a vegan diet.

Jaime Christley

People who are good at one thing think they're good at every fucking thing. That's why we get geniuses who are also blasted idiots.

MKatieUltra

Yeah that’s why everyone takes vitamin C when they get a cold because Linus Pauling (Nobel in chemistry, not medicine) put that mostly wrong association into the public consciousness. He kept writing books recommending bigger and bigger doses of it.

Nolan

Based

Bob K Ross

I,got 3 minutes in and your guest made me wanna die instead of falling asleep

Robert Aitken

good thing he doesn’t claim to be health expert then, dumbass

Michael Martin

Made it 9 minutes in, guest gives the mainstream medical industry way too much credit, it's kind of gross no thanks

aarinsanity

A lot of origins of the antivax movements are old school libs too. baffles me

Darius

The Chapo guys have been wrong on COVID the whole time and are doubling down like they did when they got Bernie wrong.

Michael Branes

you boys and your music recs... now I'm listening to big audio dynamite and wondering where it's been all my life?

Kevin Price

Bhutan has a cool way of dealing with non westernized medicine. They have universal health care, but it’s split into two separate systems. One system is the better funded “westernized” medical system, the other is a traditional Buddhist system. Covers the necessary and vital parts of medicine while allowing people to indulge in some beneficial quackery

Axel H.

People are very protective of their “quackery”, it's individual, it's self-selected, it's based on "doing your own research", and unfortunately rejection of Western medicine itself is often seen as being no different than rejecting capitalism and consumerism (and is not differentiated from the industry and structure around it). So I’m not surprised this episode is being wrongly misconstrued as “cucking”; people just want to be told vaccines and modern medicine as a whole are a giant op. Admitting that Western medicine itself is effective and shouldn't be thrown out just because the establishment around it is fucked, is selling out.

Broadway Joe

I think it'd be fun to go back to the miasma theory. Feeling sick? Must be too much bad air!

George P

Really funny some people are mad the episode was too trusting in doctors and the medical establishment while others are mad it was too critical of them

J.P. McD.

What’s the point of being an alternative medicine practitioner/guru if you can’t sleep with your patients?

Poppy Chulo

People have ordered it off Amazon to commit suicide. I remember a news story about some former child actor using it.

Poppy Chulo

If people knew what went on in sterile processing departments they would be shocked and disgusted. Imagine going in for a gallbladder surgery and having instruments with dried gore and proteins still in the cannulas or the insulation on the laparoscopic arms cracked so that your liver gets unknowing cooked during a routine procedure and you die. Happens every year, we call them critical and adverse events. The hospital I work for killed over thirty people in about a six year period from negligence and more than fifty had adverse events resulting in injury or having the wrong amputation, or being given too much of a drug. I know this because they disclosed this to the nurses and perioperative department in a meeting. So that's just the ones they admitted to. Labor and delivery accidentally killed a healthy newborn last year or the year before.

Poppy Chulo

One of the most common things is instruments witg what we call proteins ending up back in the sterile field used on a patient. Sometimes they catch it after the fact and will tell the patient (I don't believe that occurs every time, the liability is enormous) but I'm sure very often nobody even realizes it happened. There are a lot of cannulated items and instruments with areas people overlook.

Daniel Martínez González

Anything that goes for moneygrabbing always go from that into narcissism, then egomania and finally horny af. It's the dark side path but for people who are allergic to 8 to 17 works.

Daniel Martínez González

Malthus would be overjoyed, meatball ron's next decision could be moving people to the swamps.

can u guys please have a good funny episode soon

Nathan Hills

Please make this a public episode. More people than just the Patreon's should be able to listen to this.

Anders Olsson

This guest is great. I even went back and listened the episode about Beartown.

Bob K Ross

This ep is so libtarded. Siri please search "kamala harris trump vaccine."

It's America, honey, everything is about the money.

I love that Big Audio Dynamite song!

Butthurt RFK Jr fan

Kerri

I mean, no they shouldn't say that, they should treat the fucking symptoms. You can be fat and also have legitimate complaints that should be investigated. Most people are fat in the USA, it should be criminal to turn someone away with the advice to "just lose weight" because it absolutely does cost lives. And if having fat patients means you can't treat them or even assess them due to said fatness then bust out a fuckin ozempic rx. Good doctors realize the cultural context they are in and proceed accordingly. Megalomaniacs refuse to look beyond a BMI and leave a trail of bodies behind them

Kerri

That goes back to MDs creating a brutal system to ensure their cultural cache though. There's zero reason to keep residents as sleep deprived as they do--literally a holdover from one of the world wars that is shown to increase errors and take lives--the sole purpose of this is to haze new doctors. It's insane and benefits no one besides those who've "made it through" already and want to play gods

Kerri

Best psychiatrist I ever had is doing federal time for "over" prescribing. But she was the only fuckin one who ever took me seriously and paid any attention to my side effects. She was an angel, just an angel who snorted her own Adderall rx.

Gray Taylor

Cornel West is the guy who called Reagan a freedom fighter right? sick comment man

Bob K Ross

Lol who loves kamala and listens to chapo, oh it's u.

Lydia Maria Child

They all do this now. "voting doesn't matter and who cares" AND ALSO "omg you can't possibly be serious about voting for a non-democrat" You're all overdue for some serious self-reflection and do some actual thinking. Not going to happen if they all want gigs on MSNBC and hollywood, is it?

Nathan

Checking the wrong box once every 4 years does not make someone ontologically evil

Evan Scott

RFK Jr is a democrat

Colin Clark

Literally every time private equity buys a hospital you start to get reports of surgeons having to halt surgeries due to finding blood and tissue on every tray of ostensibly sterilized surgical tools

——

I don’t know any doctors that are struggling financially after their second or third year practicing My buddies wife got a contract for 300k/ year at age 30 and gets like 3K for overtime shifts.

Poppy Chulo

Thank you for the idea, same here.

T

A trail of fat bodies

Bob K Ross

Lol they are clearing the field for joe biden dumbass

Bob K Ross

the crime bill guy who was best friens with strom thurman some sorta, dragon in the kkk. Gimme another cornel west is bad, because what?

Keith Jackewicz

Which way do you think they’re wrong, taking it too seriously or not taking it seriously enough

Keith Jackewicz

Psychiatry is absolutely a quack field, and as a nurse, they’re pretty annoying to deal with, always writing these ambiguous ass-covering notes that don’t actually help their fellow practitioners to treat patients.

Keith Jackewicz

Doctors are a problem, but the biggest problem in healthcare is that even when it’s not run for-profit, it’s run *as though* it is for-profit, with bare bones staffing. A lot more doctor errors would be caught if nurses had better staffing ratios, and being in the hospital would suck less if the food was actually good and people didn’t have to sit in their own piss and shit for an hour or more because there are no CNAs on the floor.

Keith Jackewicz

Big Pharma sucks, but there is no parameter by which it is remotely the most evil industry in the world.

Keith Jackewicz

The *starting pay* of doctors is absolute shit, which is why there is so much incentive for people to overcrowd specialties and why primary care is so fucking understaffed.

Kvvvy

I was thinking of primary care when I wrote my comment lol

Rix Yarbrough

chapo celebrating 4th of july. a new low

Chubby Justin

Professional class labor is being devalued just as much as anyone else's. The truly evil ones are the ones that work for insurance companies to gun up excuses to deny claims.

Roy

give me my podcast you goddamn patriots

Poppy Chulo

What does Kamala Harris have to do with anything?

Bob K Ross

that trap loves her?

Bob K Ross

I just wanna feel that bobby k throat goat action!

Bob K Ross

It's cool to think leftists who don't support joe biden are all rfk supporters. Don't let people call you retarded stalinists or libtards, man. Keep reaching for that rainbow!

Poppy Chulo

They love to make fun of her, which is always good, but I don't know where you're getting anything else. Is it just anti vaccine conspiracies giving you brain worms?

Bob K Ross

Noooo the trap above, bro.

Bob K Ross

So do all the libtards! Guess what u are?

Eamon O'Connor

not sure what it is about this guy’s voice but as soon as he starts talking my brain checks out immediately.

Bob K Ross

I'm a sub. Triggered?

Bob K Ross

I'm capable of listening to things i disagree with lol

Degrassi Knoll

My broher in law is currently shitting into a bag because initial hospital told him he had cancer (he didn't) and they couldn't treat without him getting a colostomy bag....he had a GRAPEFRUIT sized benign tumor that could have been removed. He is so much worse off than before he went in for treatment and if he's lucky he'll only have the bag for 9 months. Might be forever.

Degrassi Knoll

LOL - sounds like the dipshits telling Joe Rogan that he's going to win a debate vs a Dr with a masters in biology because he can do more pushups...

Bob K Ross

Wear what? The Bernie left split into neo neo cons and just straight libtards like this podcast and you. At least we still have the bruenigs. Go back to Reddit little libtard!

Heather Kim

I love the first 16 minutes of this episode, exposing the hypocrisy of the medical field (specifically doctors because we love nurses folks).

ploob

Oh shit, I think We'll There's Your Problem did an episode on this light cure box(something similar anyway) fucking wild.
