Dennis

When u hear Jacques 🤔🤔🤔 when u realize the two goats are knocking boots 📣🤯🥳🤩🙌🍾📯📣

J Gib

Jaques' purgatory story sounds like normal england tbh

Mr Worldwide

Didn’t there used to be another host on seeking derangements?

Tenser's Gifts

The Savoies up there with the Rouses and the Chouests in terms of evil Cajuns

Isaac Suárez

This is hilarious- great episode (I’ll add that my favorite aspect was the tipsie Jacques giving a succinct, academic quality definition of the differences between Cajun and Creole food/culture. Drunk folks who are extremely knowledgeable about a distinct subject they care about makes for great listening. Keep it up!)

William

Nah. Jonas all the way. UAE doesn’t have the juice

Jed Levin

We are marching to Bastille Day, the guillotine will claim its bloody prize!

Kamran Husain

this is what the people pay for brava

Eamon Short

Holy shit, their least focussed and funniest episode in ages. I need more Jacques

Kamran Husain

the acadian/cajun people have declared war upon the mr alchemist

K H

This is one of those episodes you use to intro people to Chapo. The Seeking Derangements always deliver.

Sean Earl Beard

We need more content like this for us degenerate gays

Dave Reinhardt

Oh man, this is really hitting home. I live on cape and the circuit boys and bears have back to back theme weeks in ptown.

Ohn Jorazio

Everything Jacques said about the Savoie family is 100% factual

Olivia Kali

And not even speaking real French anyways

Olivia Kali

Seeking Derangements are my favourite parasocial friends

Rohan Williams

I've experienced two variants of the straight men who have gay sex they either want to fuck and then don't acknowledge it at all afterwards or deeply insecure about their sexuality and keep making excuses for their behavior the whole time and before and after.

Meatwad Cosby

i worked retail in that mall for years. Lakeside Shopping Center. an awful place for a blowjob.

Rusty

Felix is right, entering a Sephora as a straight guy you feel like you've taken a building hostage. I remember going in there to get my mom a gift for Mother's Day and there's this loathsome diminutive twink that would nervously ask me if I needed help with anything

Jaime Christley

This is such a great ep to listen to close on the heels of the TrueAnon Vanderpump Rules episode. Have absolutely no frame of reference for most of the chatter, still having a great time. kudos and have a great weekend

saintbeau

jacques and a team of gay bar patrons training felix to take back the jockstrap lube wrestling title from another straight man is an amazing concept for an episode of always sunny

Ryan

Fellow full eye-lashed guy here to confirm, it also started as a kid, I must’ve been in second grade when this self-knowledge was bestowed upon me by mother and aunt alike.

rolfesam

SD so good mmm gang gang SD so good slay ha ha ha *pop pop pop pop* yes strong woman yes strong woman Jacques is on the run from the law

Jessica Rios

All I want to know is why Matt didn’t do his CushVlog and now the main show. Unacceptable.

concernedmom420

I can hear Hesse on that voice training grind, keep it up queen

Brendon

I’m so happy that we’re finally getting some Savioe hate in Chapo. The Broussards will join Jacques’ righteous crusade against these abominations.

Clarp Blarpkiss

Best Chapo EP in a long time. I haven't laughed this hard at work since the early reading series

stop watcherman

Liking before I listen cus seeking derangements rules

Noland Hair Cave Spelunker

Could listen to an entire episode of them imagining Jacques’ involvement in various wars throughout history.

Of course

When it's just the three Chapos, they share an idea about a topic, each drops a reference, I usually get one (mostly Matt's) or maybe two, laugh, and move on. The Chapos also seem to have a wider emotional range, giddy to bitter to sage wisdom. Honestly, I don't know what these guests are talking about and they seem entirely too happy.

Logan

Is it mead skeleton? Can't find him.

Evan Scott

Too "happy"? Like "gay"? Interesting (homophobic)

The Cucksplainer

They brought up Chase the Chicken, deep Louisiana Lore.

Randy

Meade Skelton

Paul Xanders

Matt and Jacques have never appeared on the same ep, far as I know. Which is a shame, because it's a pairing I'd love to hear. Imagine a Hell of Presidents style show with Jacques in the Chris role as the guy asking questions.

Jon

Had to run this one by the lawyers I guess

JerJin

Girl dinner is just chip dinner

Nolan

I actually always keep dice on me, and most people don’t know this is, you can get out of a DUI if you roll Yahtzee.

greenboots

Love when my faves have a crossover special

K H

Mon sheri you makin dat Savoi roux, you gon get that adrenochrome in der, mix it up wit some micro plastic, throw a little fentanyl in there and you gon make a Mossad agent slap his handler I swear on God.

Hesse Deni

Our beautiful Max left to focus on school (he’s retaking 5th grade)

Ty Baron

Need a Truanon dive into the Savoy family asap

Matthew

I make a mean gumbo

CR

Amazing ep, seeking derangements x chapo is always even more than the sum of the parts and this is no exception

Emily

one of the funniest episodes of late, y'all gotta have seeking derangements on more they're hysterical

Dan

Every now and again the Chapo's reveal personal details about their habits and idiosyncrasies that make me realize that my traits are shared by others. Will's cookie and potato chip dinner hit close to home.

I am become reply guy

Matt wasn’t allowed on this ep because he would have done a Cajun accent the whole time

etienne

breaking news: some NYT netizen discovers the concept of "having just a snack" because they're "an office worker who needs to eat less food than a carpenter"

The Other Lauren

solidarity with my wearing a mask everywhere in public like michael jackson because of facial hair removal folks

Dan

Quebec is like 1/3 of Canada's population, though. Are there 130 million Cajuns?

T

Meade Skelton

simplebrute

can believe the Chapos had Jacques on and he didn't teach them about the term "coonass." what's the point of having a Cajun on if he's not going to teach you slurs?

Adrienne Suydam

“Where am I gonna get my highlighter, I need my fix”

Cy Rod

Watch TundaMinous on YouTube if you want to understand the cajun culture and to hear what the accent actually sounds like.

Dongo

Hearing Jacques and SD discuss the mortal battle between him and the cowardly shit cube proprietors brings me great joy. A victory for Jacques is a victory for all the people

Seymour Butz

Best episode since the last SD collab

Ian H

Les haricots sont pas sales

Ian H

Hey I'm going up to Falmouth for a few days in August. Anything I should check out?

Dongo

Greatest episode ever tbh

Poppy Chulo

yall yall yall yall all yall yall

Antipaganda

Absolutely the best episode in a long time. Countless moments of joy.

Antipaganda

Matt has a kid? Jesus. I cannot imagine what that kid's perspective on life will be.

Antipaganda

Jacques claims to be a Cajun and yet never exploded even one playing card

Crosley Querin

Wills mother took him to Bear Week, is this her way of saying she disapproves of KK?

mrakobesiye

Dying at the Cajun Rothschilds rant

calvin kilby

Subscribing to SD because of this ep

Malik Chaney

yeah jacques gives a pretty good explanation of creole identity! creole cooking is similar to a lot of carribean foods and is an expression of an african cultural heritage achieved with the ingredients available in the new world

Alec

Every time you have him on, i am convinced Jacques is a loony tunes character you’ve managed to catch in a bear trap

etienne

try harder

Meatwad Cosby

Jambalaya is chicken tendy ass cajun food.

vermouth

for the record as a cajun man; cajun is redneck and creole is city slicker. i dont know how these got mixed up

BTULTRA

that last 15 minutes was crazy

crab

1964 jfk re-election poster

Brad Overbeck

They did a show in Traverse City with Michael Moore.

Pædiekeix

Matt- I mean congressman Higgins, is that you, sir?

Back Bench Pizza LLC

Hate to correct somebody from New Orleans named Jacques, but jambalaya is roux based and gumbo is traditionally thickened with okra or filé. Roux is not difficult, just gotta keep stirring.

T

My Wikipedia research says that gumbo is made with roux and that jambalaya isn't. We know the CIA edits Wikipedia, though, and I wouldn't put it past them to edit cajun cuisine articles to sow discord amongst the "dirtbag left", denying Bernie an otherwise inevitable 2024 win...

C. Andrew

You're doing gay conversation therapy but turning straight guys gay because you give such good head. You should honestly be proud. Like you've given brain so good a guy paid a therapist like 2000 dollars.

C. Andrew

I'm gonna train an AI model on two datasets: the NYT Opinion section and Cruelty Squad NPC dialogue. Excellent idea from Hesse.

NYCM&AHole

You’re gonna get voodoo curses on each of you

The Etymology of Nonsense

I turned a straight dude with a micro penis into a slutty bottom. That's my biggest accomplishment. The funny thing is I ended up cutting him off cuz he got all weird and then I saw him on a gay app using my name. 💀

Comrade Quaid

Is it problematic that I’m surprised that Jacques doesn’t look like Bobby Hill in that episode where he gets queered by Bill’s fruity cousins? I think it’s problematic.

John Carter

Wake up babe melonie mac x chapo crossover dropped

Robert Aitken

ok Chapo have a good weekend Chapo ok

john gautreaux

Rouses are technically Italians but started culture culturing early. Def a top 5 evil fam down here just from how they treat their workers alone

john gautreaux

I don’t watch realty TV but I would absolutely watch a show of Jacque and his friends just terrorizing Lakeside Mall

john gautreaux

Jar roux has come a long way, I’ve even seen it in cans. But the best roux I’ve ever had was made by cooking down onions instead of flour I swear to god. Also originally Cajun meant acadian French and creole meant from France french, usually via the Caribbean) and because France had a more complex racial hierarchy many African Americans gravitated to identify as creoles. And the meanings have kind of been evolving over the years. Also fuck the Savoie’s

More Human than Human

kids today just do gigantic doses Phenibut instead of GHB. Damn kids and their fucking nootropics and research chems. We need to return to tradition

Callum Skene

Gumbo Thrones. Yes, Gumbo Thrones. Haha.

james

I NEED information on Andrew R!?!?!?

Dick Van Sexel

Those super dark rouxs are delicate, but you can do it man.

Dante Scaglione

Love the level of ChapoFYM crossover in this ep .. their podcast and regular freak streams are so underrated, check them out if you haven’t !!!

Marisa

You’ve all fundamentally misunderstood girl dinner. Get Katherine on.

Paul F. Holzfäller

Poor to nonexistent bō staff skills as well I’m guessing. C’mon man!

Paul F. Holzfäller

“How about I help myself to that ass?” Would’ve been interesting to see the guy’s reaction.

CT

Richmond Va’s pride and joy

Jack Perry

Are chips dinner🤔

CT

Richmond Va’s own, Meade Skelton finally getting his just and proper dues.

Flesh Colored Subaru

There is no more exhausting, who care food conversation than people from Louisana talking about Louisiana food

Flesh Colored Subaru

"Oh honh honh honh THIS eight hour soup boiled in flour water is WILDLY different from THAT eight hour soup boiled in flour water"

Alec

Just have the gays on once a month or two. We demand it

Roary Break'er

False: which NYC pizza is "best in da city"

James Murray

Yeah. One of the gay guys keep having half thoughts because the other two keep cutting them off.

Axel

Where's that Hesse 4th mic comment ?

Ian Priest

It was so nice of the Chapo boys to guest on Seeking Derangements

Ashay Guevara

Anytime Seeking Derangements unites with Chapo, it's the apogee of revolutionary hilarity

DaveBMadeIT

"cruelty squad NPC dialogue" lol

Ll

Girl Dinner is just the '30 to 40 olives for dinner' meme, but worse because it's not just olives.

Michael Coutts

I didn't know you guys knew about Meade! Way back in the early aughts, he showed up on a local DC punk rock message board. He's from Richmond and was trying to promote his music. He was an absolute weirdo pre-trump and just got crazier. His song "circles" is a jam though

Steve D

I remember him very clearly - it is sad how he went from looney guy with serious chops to just disgusting and rotten. Waste of talent.

Sydney

cajun gang (I make my own roux too)

YourBabysFather

Dude what the fuck is this I’m about to save five dollars a month

Large Joseph

Savoie’s roux is the only acceptable pre-made roux. Homemade is still leagues better.

wolfgang

you like that turd ass episode

buttface

Same. This is trash.

buttface

This shit is fucking LAME!

Stephen

Why isn't Matt on for this bear-heavy discussion...

Ashe

So many crybaby’s in the comments, I thought this episode was hilarious, not every thing needs to be Hell on Earth lmfao. The variety of content is great and hearing the boys just have a laugh sometimes is a great thing, the world sucks, just let em goof sometimes.

Poppy Chulo

That's not what this episode was though.

judge holden steady

While Jacques covered the Savoie's Mossad ties, there are also some curious [genetic] ties to Saudi Arabia as well - a few members of a cadet branch of the Savoie family suffer from a rare genetic mutation with curiously high prevalence in both Cajuns and Saudis. @Jacques do with this what you will

Zachary Wood

Only cool people like this episode. Great episode please get SD on every episode

lolwuthappend

I may be in the minority but I do not find Seeking Derangements funny or interesting in the least

MKatieUltra

I did once eat 30-40 olives for dinner, and I *fully* regretted it.

tysonw81

As a gay man myself, I find these guys and their show to be bewildering. Every recording of theirs seems like overhearing the kind of good-natured but rather banal and self-referential conversation you might enjoy taking part in yourself among friends and acquaintances but would be of little interest to others. I think there's a kind of straight person who has a kindly but stereotypical conception of gays, especially gay men, as witty and caustic and so is primed to interpret whatever they say as just that. I'm reminded of Clarence Thomas' "they smile at your face" comment and my reaction of wondering whether he wasn't being a little ungenerous: that maybe some of those people he perceived as condescending towards him weren't earnestly well-intentioned people who, out of his insecurity, he misinterpreted.

tysonw81

I suspect alot of people like SD kind of shows not because they're interesting or funny but because they want to feel as though they are themselves taking part in a conversation between friends. It's kind of like a pet owner turning on a TV or radio imagining it will make them feel less alone overhearing human voices, except the person is turning it on for themselves.

Robert Ditty

I’ve never been a big fan of mocking mentally disabled or disturbed people for comedy. Maybe it hits a little close to home for me but I find it depressing.

Post Void

Sounds better when I'm off of work now

Post Void

PTown is an amazing place, save those Sand Pipers too, cool Portuguese community, great city layout with that tower on the sea Cliffside.

Post Void

OK history time. This is a fact, I know many semi gay boomers Navy vets who also then went on to do time in New England. [Cue the Village People] Anyways. Provincetown Mass, or PTown as we all call it has a very rich history. One point is this, the US Navy use to leave stranded gay soilders there. And honestly, most seemed to enjoy it. And the rest is history. It's "Fort Useless" then to " Fort Ridiculous". Hey, better than drowning in the ocean by being blown up trying to mess around with some other countries stuff.

ZombiePelican

Better not have any tomatoes in there

ZombiePelican

They should know the proper nomenclature is "Metry"

ZombiePelican

They should know the proper nomenclature is "Metry"

Basil

Hated it!

Kerri

Squeal! Squeal squeal squeal!!!

Breakaway

Thanks for reminding me about that term

EnKaff

It's awful.

Evan Hammond

I worked door at jock strap lube wrestling for two years and know the exact bartender he’s talking abt from that comment ☠️

Steeeeve

Shut up you fucking nerd

Steeeeve

Uh oh looks like the homemade roux purists found the patreon ep

bruce

I generally agree, except when they’re pro-genocide lol

Nolan

Girl dinner for schmucks

Nathan Jones

Jeffrey Diduch, the master tailor bear?

BIG BONEZ MALONE

Only episodes that are an auto skip. Whole thing is a fucking Stavbot laugh track

Jacob Hutton

Anybody know the ending song?

Raaid Chaudry

So happy to see you guys talking about Melonie Mac and her orbiters. I've been obsessed with these freaks from the beginning, I'm so enamoured by their insane stupidity.

tysonw81

So, what is the appeal? It's a trivial subject, I know, but I can't help it--I'm curious. It just seems like a bunch of genial but otherwise ordinary young gay guys talking about themselves. With no other sign that they are particularly interesting or funny, how can I help but assume it's just an instance of a bunch of straight guys laughing about what amusing oddities these homos are. An animal in a zoo, say, doesn't have to say anything witty to be amusing to us.

stenkyraizin

Late to the party here but you got any Savoie lore resources? I know of them cuz they come to my area every year for a fiddle festival, didn’t know about roux, Mossad etc..

Urik Mej

Most laughs per minute for me of any Chapo episode

Reece Coren

This might be the best one
