Late september checkin (Patreon)

Hi everyone! I've had to say this a thousand times, but here i am saying it again: I'm still alive and I'm even still kicking. I can tell you all about my absence, but let's keep it short: my mental health is kinda bad and my life is kinda chaotic. I'm doing my best. Let's jump right into what you care about: the game.

Character sheets done

Thanks to the help of an amazing member on here, the character sheets are all done! I've implemented them today and they are working correctly. This means a big step towards the next update. As a thank you for his work, he got to add two girls to the game, so please welcome to the roster:- Millie Bobby Brown- Dafne Keen

Where are we at?

I'm making slow but steady progress with the new mechanics. So far I have:

Business mechanics. This means not just for the three businesses you'll be able to buy with this next update, but a framework that can be utilized to add dozens of other ones later. It includes an upgrade path for each business, profit/losses calculations and more.

Conversation mechanics. I've been trying to dumb these down a bit. I was getting way too complicated with dialogue trees and shit. That's just too much for me to handle alone. I'm trying to bring it down to basics and add variety from there based on the girl's personality.

Sex mechanics. I have a very barebone version working where you sort of go through a tree of options. You start with a randomized opening scenes and from there you get a handful of choices based on the location, the girl you're with, the kinks you chose and other variables. Those choices each have their own handful of options and this way you'll create a unique encounter each time. Here too I am aiming for doing the hard work up front to create a framework where I can later easily add options without coding.

The new LAX app. This is a way to track your progression as well as unlock things. For starters, you'll now need to become business level 2 to get the streaming business started. That means you'll have to get a few requirements met through the in-game app, in this case that means buying your first business and leading it to a certain level of customers and income. I've been coding and calculating a lot and the game now (mostly)successfully tracks your level in things like: fitness, wealth, business, love and sex. These will all play into the story at some point.

What now?

I have to finish up the new businesses so that you can actually make it to business level 2 and get the streaming business started again. Then I have to finish up the new conversation, relationship and sex mechanics to at least a playable level. It's going to be a while longer but I hope to release the update around the holidays at the latest. I know, I'm slow. But I think it'll be worth the wait!
