First time watching tho I did hate Lori, but as I got older I started to understand her way more

I thought Rick's response about Lori and Shane would turn out a little differently.

You could tell from the beginning how jealous he was of Rick's life and what he had with Lori and having a son. I think Shane's transformation further into darkness as the season went on made it more easy to dislike him lol

Not trying to defend shane but I think he genuinely thought rick was dead. There was nothing definite to prove he was alive, rick was in a coma, there was chaos, and him saying him hearing a flatline before it went off is debatable but him not hearing a heart beat and nothing proving he was still alive in the chaos is a lot. I also think he was thinking from ricks pov on saving his family because what if rick woke with him right there instead of making sure his family was safe. As a best friend I would be pissed. I do however, think he was jealous of him and his life and family and think he’s going down a darker path but as far as him thinking he was dead I think it was genuine. Also as far as the bed in front of the door I think he did that to protect him from the walkers possibly getting in and eating him.
