I'd say that throughout the entire series, this episodes ending scene was really one of the most impactful scenes overall. They have a lot of moments, but this is one of them that stuck with me. Also since no one else has said it yet, Glenn didn't just run out there to help. You missed it, but he got Maggie's permission before he ran out there while she was trying to console her dad.

I have really enjoyed your commentary and analysis of this show and these characters so far! I feel like it’s so easy for people to have one dimensional views on the characters and their actions but it’s all very nuanced. Specifically with Shane and Rick, so many people are quick to defend Shane, his actions, claiming he’s in the right but like you said at the end of the video, Shane is the type of person where in this situation, qualities he possessed and his character becomes easily corrupted in the most detrimental way. He’s not necessarily evil but he’s not a leader. It hasn’t even been that long since the world has changed and already he is going down such a dark path. How is that a better leader than Rick who is gradually adapting to the world while still trying to hold on to his humanity and morals?

The crazy thing is, Sophia went missing and then the NEXT DAY Carl got shot by Otis. Which means within that 1 day time frame or even less, Sophia was bitten and taken into the barn by Otis before he shot Carl. And remember, Rick had asked God for a sign to find Sophia and then Carl got shot immediately after, which still led them to eventually finding Sophia in the barn this whole time. Isn’t that crazy writing. Had Shane not killed Otis, they probably would’ve realized this a lottttt sooner
