Try this Raindrop (Patreon)
Content
Hello! I hope you're having a pleasant week.
I put this together quick as a little visual while chatting about the idea, so I might as well share it. Not fancy, and hopefully useful for the right project. So that's why this one is a freebie for everybody.
This sheet's a simple 4-frame strip (last frame is the blank) in a regular 16x16 tilebase. You can rearrange them however best fits your project.
Notably: these PNGs use alpha. Most of my stuff doesn't (or hasn't). It's unlikely to be a problem in a modern game engine, but I usually avoid it for stylistic reasons.
This older weather animation set has a similar effect (and it also has accompanying rainfall) in a more pure-pixel style.

Note for RPGMaker: These are not in a direct rpgmaker format, instead it's a general-sheet because you might want to use them as charactersets, tiles, animations, or whatever would be best for your specific needs. Thus the exported RPGMaker sizes so that they'll be easy for you to splice and rearrange these onto existing sheets with snap-to-grid.
Here's how it looks in my game... (imagine this video example looks more complete, and how you might want to implement the rain part in your game 🤓 ), it'll look good I think with the straight-rain falling effect which I'll implement another time...

I hope that this little raindrop finds a home in your game world. Thanks for checking it out.
Have a nice afternoon, and I'll see you again on Friday for the next regular patron release.
Thanks for everything!
