Snowy Rooftops Elements (Patreon)
Content
Hello! Today's release is a patron suggestion that builds onto the recent seasonal add-ons.
These snowy rooftops will be useful alongside these recent season-themed releases:
Elements Four Seasons: Terrain Autotiles
Downloads:
Snowy TE Roofs - Tile Add-on (100%) - 16x16
Snowy TE Roofs - Tile Add-on (200%) - RMVX/Ace
Snowy TE Roofs - Tile Add-on (300%) - RMMV/MZ
Like all my add-ons, these are arranged in a regular grid so you can easily splice and rearrange sets of tiles using 'snap to grid'.
Note:
I couldn't fit them directly onto the existing tileset to overwrite in the same we did with the previous seasonal tiles (explained below). So this is an add-on-style release that you can can use however will work best for your individual project.
I've organized the add-on in a way that's hopefully easy for you to work with.
Here's how it works:
In the original Elements set, the rooftops have a natural "border line" between the shingles. This is how we made the tileset flexible, but the border breaks when the shingles are hidden underneath the snow (causing the illusion that the rooftop blends into the ground, if the ground also has a light-colored texture such as more snow).
Depending on the needs for your map, a 1-to-1 replacement might work for your project. Therefore I've included some new roof-side tiles for the left and right edges of the sloped rooftop.
The visual below shows how the new tile-groups correspond to existing groups in the Elements Hometown set. The new additional roof-border pieces are added onto the top group, and you can fit them onto your tileset however works best for your project.
(I imagine, for example, overwriting one of the unused color-variants with this set to make the snow-version for a specific town map).
I hope that these are useful for you.

And that's it for today!
Have a fantastic weekend, and I'll see you next week with something new.
Thanks for eevrything.
