Hello, I hope you had a good weekend, and it's time to start with the first release of the new month.

Happy to share this one with you today: take a look at the leaves and vines on the edge of this cliff here:

The growth-animation is so these can be used as a gate-lock, handy for setting up shortcuts or sequential paths in level design.

It's similar to the unrolling dropdown ladders which I released last year (wow, look at the gif in that post: this game has come a long way!).

Here's another cool trick with these: the middle part it designed to tile, creating thick-flowering hanging vines:

Note the way I have these aligned on the download sheets: each frame is 48x48 (that's 3x3 tiles), so the last "final frame" of the vines can be easily pasted into a tileset as an add-on and used as a tile texture.

Here's an idea how to maximize them in your game too. For me, I set up these vines to be climbable (Really I just copied my ladder objects):

(the map underneath the vines is incomplete, but it shows how the climbing vines work(

It's not any different than normal movement in a top down game anyways, but it replaces the player's animation and makes for a visual effect that's handy and useful for some extra variance in the level flow).

There's a lot you can do with these, I hope they find a way into your game world!

Here are the downloads:

General Sprite Strip - 100%

For the RM format to fill out the character-animation-sheet, I've included the full-color set you see here as well as a color variant with the classic Time Fantasy style. There's 12 frames of animation across three "characters", can be set in event-move-routes by rotation.

RM Character Format - 100%

RM Character Format - 200% - VX/Ace

RM Character Format - 300% - MZ/MZ

I hope these are useful for your game project.

Ok that's it for me for today, I'll be back later in the week with something new.

See you then. Thanks for everything
