May I... have your requests for the new month 🌞?

*ouch ouch* "take that, for the lame pun"

Suggestions:

Requests with likes from other patrons will have priority. The more likes, the higher chance of doing it.

Assets with the most general use will usually be prioritized.

Image references are always helpful!

Start small: I'm not going to have time to create a large tileset for an entire region, but a couple of special objects would be OK.

Omega Modern style or Lo-Bit style requests are cool, or Time Elements/Fantasy stuff. Just specify if you're looking for a specific style, or something else.

All patrons will have access to the graphics made from these threads.

Specific assets for the Time Elements generator are welcome (legs, body, head, hairstyles, weapons, etc), but -- instead of a regular patron release, they might end up on the list for a future expansion!

Repeat requests are OK -- if I didn't get to a request from a previous month, feel free to post it again here.

I'll be back on Monday with something fresh.

See you soon, have a wonderful weekend. Thanks!

Meta Repost: the long awaited tutorial to turn Time Elements style to Time Fantasy style, which was mentioned a couple years ago and never happened or a tutorial on how to switch back and forth depending on your favored style, not just the one way

(repost) New parts for the Time Element char generator: - Weapons: one or two new models of bows and staffs. - Hats: bard's hat (with feather), scarf, beret, another model of wizard/sorcerer's hat (more worn, like Gandalf's), a bandana, pirate or corsair hat. - dwarf bodies and legs: 2 or 3 smaller body and leg models that fit together to make dwarves - hair: shorter backhair 5 (like Yang's haircut in FF4) One of the more complicated things to integrate would be adding musical instruments: lute, harp, flute, but that must be complicated to integrate. Perhaps directly above the “wait” animation with instruments large enough to hide the arms of the “top” part underneath. examples of parts with FF5 jobs : https://images.rpgsite.net/image/da49c9a1/106806/original/ff5_four_job_fiesta.jpg

I'd love to see your future fantasy assets (esp the modern assets!) done in the time element style!

re-requesting a Tron style protagonist (grayscale so it can be colored procedurally by allegiance) with four directional running and dashing frames. I'm making a Tron-inspired game in Unity called Gh0st, almost done with it actually (3 mini games that earn you RAM to use in the final confrontation) so I'm starting to look for smoother art. **This game will be published on the modern Atari VCS (I have one other on there now called Sentinels of Atlantis)

Hi! I'm building a top-down 2D MMO using Tiled and your packs. I'm looking for standalone single-image sprites (not autotile compositions) for these specific use cases. Could you point me to which existing packs of yours have the most standalone props for each? I have Patron+ access: 1.Town props standalone: houses (small/med/big), fences, gates, wells, signposts, market stalls 2.Desert props standalone: cactus, palm trees, bones, tents, oasis pools, sand-tone obstacles 3.Dungeon props standalone: cave pillars, big mushrooms, crystals, chests, doors, ponds, walls/cliff sections I have your master tilesets but most of the geometry there is autotile-based, which is hard to use outside RPG Maker. Wondering if you have packs with pre-composed standalone versions of these. If many of these don't exist standalone yet, I'd like to formally request them as a future expansion. They'd be huge for any patron building outside RMVX. Thanks!

(Repost) I think ocean waves would be a really useful asset for making the water tilesets come alive.

Flame princess Ray

More relics, artifacts, and fossils, as icons for the museum set, Walkable coral reef/sandbar underwater paths, More cute companion style monsters (rune factory/pokemon like)

More weapon options for the Time Elements Character Generator would be amazing. So would the Dwarf option. But all of this sounds great to me.

Beaujaak Horseperson

Omega modern characters or more space assets, cargo hauler ships etc!

Nomak

I'd still love to see some images/sprites for the overworld map that fit the previous TF/TE sets, like ruins, elemental towers, more towns and castle variations, etc.

finalbossblues

Planning to revisit the overworld for the Elements sets later this year, I have a big TODO list for the summer from a bunch of tiles adn biomes that need overworld versions :)

Flame princess Ray

Oh, I remembered a request from a previous thread, that mentioned overlays for buildings for cracks and stains, I’d like to add onto that with like plants, moss and ivy for an overgrown look. Also, a whole garden themed set, flower arches and hedges, tea tables and outdoor furniture, bird baths, mailboxes, statues, gazebos, and lastly tree walls made out of all of your trees (one per biome would be enough)

Tom Read

Maybe some character sprites to go with Tyler Warren's Little Monsters and Robots? Also some regular Native American Indians would be cool.

Tom Read

Some more coral, shell and seaweed "clutter" pieces like the flowers from last month would be nice.

finalbossblues

Revisiting some of his monsters could be fun but he's got a really big library, if specific monsters are important to prioritize I think it'd make this one more manageable, thanks!

finalbossblues

Great call on the royal palace garden set!! I very very much want to exactly that kind of setting already, especially after the huge collection of flowers and pottery from last week!

finalbossblues

If you're asking for autotile configuration files for autotiles and such, I'm sorry I don't really have anything like that for tiled specifically, if you mean the art itself though: everything you've listed is covered :) I gotcha for the core biomes of the classic Time Fantasy style, those are covered in the first couple of tile packs and with some of the early freebies: https://finalbossblues.itch.io/fantasy-rpg-tileset-pack https://finalbossblues.itch.io/time-fantasy-farmandfort https://finalbossblues.itch.io/tf-beach-tileset most of what you want, because it's foundational core stuff, is also covered in the newer Elements style/series too, so you can go in either direction https://finalbossblues.itch.io/ The time fantasy stuff has more variety overall in the backlog. Either way, a lot of the other stuff you've mentioned ca be found in patron bonus packs or in the archive here on the site, like https://www.patreon.com/posts/more-cacti-43067492 https://www.patreon.com/posts/rocky-crystals-136852745 you could dig up some cool stuff in the collections too if you're looking to build up your core-biome tilesets for your project, thanks!

horacio parisotto

Hi, thanks for the pointers! One quick follow-up: for standalone props specifically (houses, big mushrooms, ponds with edges baked in, etc.); when you say "covered", do you mean each pack has dedicated standalone-sprite sections, or are they mostly tiles that need to be composed manually? I'm trying to understand whether I'll be drag-and-dropping single sprites in Tiled, or composing them tile-by-tile from your master sheets. Just so I know what to expect when I open the packs. Thanks!

Kasden Winkler

Well, I do have some ideas for which monsters to start with. I'd say for even more animations like walking, the scarecrow and its head. As well as the smaller version.

Anthony

Maybe I missed something, but being able to have L/R objects in hand in the TE generator? Like sword and shield or wand and book?

Elizabeth Nicole (SolaraeStudio)

Just an idea: Creating monster sprites in a classic Final Fantasy-inspired style, adapted to fit the Time Fantasy aesthetic/color palette? Things like slimes, bombs, goblins, undead, elementals, dragons, and other common JRPG enemy types. Example: like the static enemies or slightly animated ones, like from Classic Final Fantasy games like FFV and VI. I feel like this would work really well alongside the existing Time Fantasy characters, tilesets, and especially the mini versions. Even a small starter set of core enemies would already be cool, and themed variations (such as forest, dungeon, or desert enemies). Just thought I’d suggest it because I think it would be a really strong and natural addition to the pack style. Keep up the great work!

Domiran

Flying particles! Dirt, leaves, grass, tumbleweeds, dust, smoke. The idea is just things for ambience, something that the game could randomly spawn in at any point on the screen (or near the screen edge) that crumbles or vanishes on its own.

Tom Read

Check your FB messages, dude.

TreeTopOcelot

An expansion on the dwarven tilesets would be helpful. Maybe some dwaf-steampunk machines.

Steve Gotzel

Hello, I'm quite new here and have been using your generator to build NPCs \o/ I really like your stuff, great work! One thing I noticed while creating an archer is that there doesn't seem to be a quiver option. Suggestion: Add a quiver to the character generator. I think it would be a nice addition for archer-themed characters and NPCs. Thanks for all the work you've put into the project!

Curtis Severance

In the game I am working on, I would like to have a Shining-force style combat splash screen. I am using time elements sprites for the battle grid, and will likely end up just using the sprites themselves in combat (and try to make things a bit flashier incorporating spell effects for different abilities). That said, have you ever considered building more detailed battle sprites based off of some of the supported elements variations (sword, axe, wand, etc)? Thinking something like https://sfmods.com/resources/ian-final-conflict.203/.
