Hello. Thanks for waiting...
Normally I schedule these posts for Mon & Fri 11am brunchtime. And I did have one scheduled, but it coulda been better, and I knew it when I went to bed last night...
I made these diagonal logs (and quickly slapped them into my game project to take a sample clip, you can see here: (the preview even looks rushed because the logs have Time Fantasy colors mismatched...))
So today's asset was gonna be that one diagonal log tile that they're sitting on.
It looks fine: in fact, it'd be a serviceable patron release... just a smaller one. And small releases like these logs, or these fish from last week, are handy to balance out the heavier assets.
But this month is a short one, with a holiday next Monday into the the end-of-month falling on the weekend: I think that's it wouldn't have been fair for today's post to remain a quickie.
Thus! 🌞 This morning I woke up with the eternal wisdom of Shiggy Miyamoto ringing in my ears...
I delayed this morning's post, and got jamming: and expanded it to be worthy of a proper addition to the patreon library! Huzzah:
(The tiles in the green are the ones from last night's moldy preview video above)
Today's release is an add-on sheet full of logs! The sheet includes remastered and expanded variants of the expands on the orthogonal logs from the Faery Forest tileset.
The diagonal logs and their variants are new, and I have both TF and full-color sheets now in the downloads.
(The funny part is: They came out so good that I'll want to find a place to use them anyways after all... these days I'm it feels like I'm not just making the art but I'm getting the patron benefits too, I should buy a gift membership to myself 🤣)
I hope that these tiles will find a place in your game world.
Anyways, you probably didn't even notice that this post is a couple hours later than usual 😅 But here's what you came for: the downloads:
Logs - Remastered and Expanded Add-on Tile Sheet:
Time Fantasy Colors
Elements (Full Colors)
Reminder: Like all my tile add-on sheets, these are arranged in a regular grid so you can easily add them to any tileset or for whatever best fits your project.
By the way:
My game's weird because it's also a handy test project that I use to make example and sample clips of the new assets. In a lot of ways it's turning into asset-showcase gallery, so that's why it's important to me to be open and sharing about the dev process with patrons.
if you're interested, I have an updated the playable test build of my game's demo. The update has polished combat, a new enemy, and a boss with intro story scenes
The build's current form is a "technically-unannounced-semi-secret-beta-of-a-beta" with a content-complete demo dungeon.
I'm currently in a final push to fix bugs and polish/tweaks towards creating a real beta-demo.
Patrons have download access to these dev versions of the game (the password is x).
Thanks for taking the time, if you do.
In the meantime: I'll be back later this week with something new.
Enjoy your day.
As always, thanks for everything.
