Hello, I hope you had a nice weekend. 🎯 Let's get to work!

Today's release is a big file with a variety of projectiles! There's four main types included here, and each one has a bunch of color variants.

The colors, like other Elements weapons, should give you some different options for how you'd want to use them, either as elemental types and/or as tiers/rarities. I made sure for the purple ones to color the tip, so they can be useful as poison-dipped arrows.

Arrow1 - These are an expansion of the default arrow from the original Elements character core set, it now includes the alternate colors.

Arrow2 - A bigger arrow! Has the same alt colors

ThrowBlade1 - A simple blade-only projectile, can be used as a kunai or maybe a dart

ThrowBlade2 - This one has a handle to be used as a throwing-dagger!

How to use these:

These are projectiles that you can use with the ranged weapons rather than directly as the weapon sheet (if you're using the basic Elements character generator). How you implement them depends on your game.

Generally, the idea is that these go in-game rather than as part of the direct character sheets, so that you can mix the different projectile types with whichever ranged weapon your player has equipped.

The download has two sets of assets here:

first there's the "weapon" sheet that is designed to overlay on top of the Elements animations.

also there's a folder of "object projectiles", the single-frame sprites to use directly in your game as the projectile object itself (could also be used as icons)

By using both of the sheets together, you can set up your character with a ranged weapon and ammo type, and as it "leaves" the animation frame: you then spawn the object in-game as it separates from the character.

The throwing blades also have this animation (in addition to the one that lines up so you can use them as ammo for the "bow/nock" animation set): it's a simple two-frame setup for the generic "windup and attack" character animation.

Note how it works just like the arrows above: you can carry it through with the in-game thrown projectile object.

☀️ ELEMENTS WEAPONS SUMMER ☀️

Every Monday for this June and July, I'll have a new Elements piece, specifically focusing on more variety for weapons/armor/accessories for combat. I have a big list of requests and suggestions from patrons, so I think that this will be a really useful one!

Back Sheathed Swords 1 and 2

Back Quiver and Sheathed Giant Sword

Crossbow and Bow2

Mace and Morningstar

Magical Wizard Staffs

After the event's finished with the full series, I'll compile them into the next expansion pack for Elements, and this time it'll be available as a patron pack (like we've done with other patron-event-collections).

Okay, here's the Download:

Projectile Varieties (Arrows/Blades) - Elements Weapon Pieces - .zip

Reminder: If your browser doesn't like the taste of the .zip file, force-feed it with a copy-paste into the URL bar.

And that's it for today. I'll be back later in the week with something new, and then again next Monday with another Elements piece for the ongoing summer project.

See you soon. Have a great afteroon!

Thanks!
