Absolutely beautiful! I'm painting an Ulthwe figure at the moment and seeing this has given me a real boost! (ps, can confirm VMC Black isn't as good as it used to be).

This is absolutely stunning Andy! The red pack against that black is magic man! Could you share what moss pads you have used on the base please? Got all the mininatur pads but wondering if there are slight differences in colour batch to batch

Steve

filling in the eyes makes such a big difference. I might just about be brave enough to do the same after seeing the vid.

The rich red is superb. Just about to start on my own warp spiders so this along with your tutorial on the spiders will be invaluable. Great work!

Great video Andy - it was really interesting seeing how you did that subtle conversion, and the environmental lighting on the hair was a little touch of genius; definitely gonna steal that one next time I paint something with hair... In terms of questions, other than the one I posted the other day about how you approach adding 'noise' in a way that looks cool and not messy, I have two: (1) is there ever a situation for, say, time-saving purposes when you would paint a series of highlight layers and then glaze over the whole area with a single, unifying thin glaze (as opposed to glazing each transition with a different mix)? And (2) would it be possible for you to do a deep dive video covering the size and placement of highlights on reflective surfaces? I know it's possible to look up brightly lit spheres and cubes and things on the Internet, but I find it gets a lot more complicated on minis (and also that, even when the highlight starts out roughly the right size, it rarely ends up that way for me😂). Cheers!

Beautiful work Andy! So inspiring, very excited to be a new Patreon member. Cheers from Canada!

Hi Andy! Absolutely beautiful conversion and paint job! It’s by far my favorite version of this mini I’ve seen! Question for the podcast: You mentioned your brush skills class. Would you guys ever consider doing video versions of your classes? I’d happily pay an extra tier for it or such. I don’t live in the UK and attending one in person would be a massive investment with flights, hotel and all.

Great video Andy, the red and the black look awesome together. I agree that the limited palette schemes really seem to work well. In terms of questions - Do you plan on running any courses in the North of England (Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, etc.)? I'm based in Harrogate and it's difficult to get to the south of England locations. Alternatively, would you consider Rob's point about adding an extra tier and providing video versions of your classes?

Super fun video Andy! A little question: what wet pallet do you use or more exactly, what paper for your wet pallet do you use? I’ve tried a bunch of different pallets and paper and would love to hear what you recommend!😃

Thanks Andy - that was such a great video tutorial - I loved watching how you approached the conversion. It really draws your attention to the mini which is such a beautiful sculpt and personally don't think it needs all the other details. Love the black recipe as well. Thanks again - Cheers!
