Hi all,

We'll be recording a cult catch up in a bit, let me know anymore questions you guys have for the Patreon only bit.

When will Andy finish his Son's of Horus? Maybe he could paint Tybalt Marr or Horus Aximand

No... I don't talk to women, I paint Warhammer.

Love the podcast and big thanks to both of you as teachers who have helped me improve greatly. As people who have made their hobby their jobs, do you find your love of the hobby has diminished a bit or do you still have the same passion as you did at the start? If you do how did you maintain that passion?

Matt

For airbrushing what compressor do you guys use?

Dan Collister

How do you guys get through the hobby blues? Obviously it's your job so there's a drive to do hobby for content. But what's your go-to to reignite that mojo? (Bonus points for mentioning Tolkien) 😁

Grimdark Mark

Another airbrush question - what’s your setup, do you have a booth to help ventilation, advice for small setups

Jordan Taylor

How meticulously do you guys plan out your projects? Do you start brainstorming ideas and go through a few iterations before finally converting/painting? Or do you get an idea and just run with it straight away? I've always been a planner but recently I've just gone for it on a couple of projects and it's brought a bit of fun back into my hobby.

Liam

Would you rather… Be stuck only being able to play 10th Ed 40K for the rest of your hobby days… Or be forced to paint Trev’s old play doh RT collection?…

Morville123

When you’re working on a big project like a competition piece or something that will take a large time investment, how do you guys plan your projects? Do you also plan things ahead of time before you have the mini or wait until it’s all together? Thanks again!

Ricky Trott

Do you have any advice for someone who is a very much a grim dark painter, transitioning over to the more blending/glazing style of painting?

Mark Hochguertel

I'd be interested in your thoughts on entering the same piece in multiple competitions, from your perspective as judges as well as competitors.

Paolo Cucchiara

Are you guys interested in making statements pieces with socially critical topics at one point?

Drew Sturrock

Couple questions! As a fan of the longer "Series" format episodes, such as the Black Templar army ones, do you have any plans for something similar? Maybe Necromunda gangs for each of the Cult of Paint staff? (We are still waiting on that Spyrer video after all 👀😂) As an army painter mainly, it was great to see the process and the evolution behind the colour schemes etc. and would be ace to see more of that. Secondly - LoTR stuff! The Traitor Rohan stuff was brilliant that Henry did, would love to see Andy do a couple characters on that scale, and wider army schemes. Maybe Henrys Hillmen army? Bens Barad-dur? The Last Alliance of Andy?

Paolo Cucchiara

I would love to see some BTS content of Deorgard. I'm interested to see how you guys go from your ideas to the concept Arts, the modelling, the cast to the final box art. Since this comes maybe a little late could you imagine to do such thing maybe for Deorgard III?

Dean Hollis

I'm really enjoying the larger scale and display oriented content. I'm an over thinker and in wanting to improve I take too many breaks during pieces. How do you balance: striving to improve and critically thinking/critiquing vs a more relaxed, happy painting approach?

Elplebian

Hopefully I won’t need an answer to this but how do you get 4.5kg of resin out of a carpet?

Todd Wallace

Do you think its possible to get a good reflection of a colourful vista such as a sunset on a model done in TMM or do you think that because of the style it would have to be in NMM so that the colours and placements make sense

Mathijs Gloudemasn

Any plans on doing some tutorials on more expanded basing? I know Henry mentioned he wanted to do some more with that this year.

Kane Holman

Would you guys ever consider doing a tale of four gamers style army build between the cult staff like the the good old days of white dwarf with Paul sawyers beastmen

Alexi

Question on pushing yourself and your painting ability - do you tend to go in to a piece with the intention to push your skills on the model, say practicing a concept, colour, texture etc - and do you do this with your competition pieces? For example do you find with your competition pieces (for demon or otherwise) you tend to paint colours / textures / models you’re more familiar with because you know you’ll do them well, or do you go in to competition pieces knowing it’ll be something you need to push yourself with? Maybe even learn to do things completely different in order to be able to realise your vision for the model?

Judson Bates

Which Andy video is a good one to learn how to blend? I’m pushing myself to get better and wonder which video is a good tutorial for me.

Andres Galvez

New sub, does anyone know of a rec product list? Specifically am trying to branch into oil and mineral spirits shenanigans(LOTR recent video was awesome and inspiring).
