How to Clean your Airbrush when painting Warhammer, tabletop miniatures, scale models & busts

This is the third in our short series of videos introducing airbrushing as a way of painting your miniatures. We have taught airbrushing classes to people all over the world. Using Warhammer, Bolt Action, Star Wars Legion, and our own 54mm models and busts amongst others. They are a fantastic tool to have in your painting toolkit. Another quality video, thanks Henry. Have found this series really useful.

Thanks Henry. I have found this series really helpful and much more user-friendly than a lot of other tutorials. As a complete airbrush noob I spent about an hour last weekend trying to work out what was wrong with it, before realising that the nozzle had fallen out and rolled under my desk. Doh! For someone of my obvious inability your comment that they aren't made of glass is very reassuring.

i would like big skin surfaces....75mm faces....skin...getting a smooth blending

Echoing the other comments here, these videos have been really educational. I’m considering getting an airbrush in the next few months so feel reassured having watched these. How much protection do you need to provide on or around your desk? I’m not bothered about my hobby mat getting a good covering of paint, but I have lots of books and pictures of my kids on my desk and didn’t know if there was any risk of paint splattering them. If I cake my children in paint I prefer for it to be on purpose. Thanks again for all the awesome stuff you’re putting together!

Couldn't have come at a better time. My compressor packed up last weekend and now I've got a new one I've decided I'll start branching out with the airbrush. Any tutorials on using it for more than just priming would be amazing.

In an ideal world you'd have an extraction booth which really helps keep the paint in one place. For. a long time I didn't have one, and whilst the immediate "overspray area" really isnt much more than a piece of A4 paper, you do get a very fine build up of paint dust over time. I'd move a box or book that had been on the desk for some time and it would leave an outline. None of this should be scary though, and if you can't have an extraction booth I'd suggest maybe grabbing a box, cutting one side out and use it as a makeshift booth, just to contain more of the spray.

What type of quick connector is best to use for the airbrushes. I currently have an Iwata eclipse but thinking of getting a new brush what would be the main advantages for me switching to the COP infinity? Thanks in advance!

would have been awesome to see some more on the COP airbrush and the settings on it
