Hi everyone,

June's sculpting video by the skin of its teeth!

Baz has done an awesome job. The sound however is not yet the quality we want, this is already being rectified so you might have 1 more vid with it at this similar quality.

Any feedback is much appreciated as these sculpting vids are a new venture for us.

Cheers, Henry

Sculpting TABARDS

In this video Baz goes through sculpting a simple tabard for any armoured model. The audio quality is not as we want it for this video. Although it is all clear, the mic was not set up correctly. We felt it was still great content though and decided to release it anyway.

Thank you for the great tutorial Baz! I was wondering, if it is safe to lick sculpting tools since putty can be bad for your health? Is the licking technique preferred among pro sculptors compared to for example Vaselin or water?

For a first video, Baz does a great job. Already learned some cool tricks (the tomato puree tube) that is worth watching the video. And it is really nice that he talks about his thoughts and why / why not do x,y,z. Off to a great start.

This is a great video, thanks! I've got some questions: (1) is there a particular reason to use Milliput standard or would others (like super fine white) work as well? (2) is it wise to be licking your tools (I'm pretty sure epoxy putty is toxic)? (3) Is there an alternative to tomato puree tubes, and if so, what is it? (4) Do you plan to do videos in the future covering how to sculpt basing elements as well as converting minis? (5) Do you plan to do a video covering basic sculpting essentials, for those of us who have never tried it before? Cheers!

Great video Baz! I've never been much of a sculptor, so the little tips and tricks are super useful!

I'm curious Baz would regular old tin foil work as a backing? I wonder maybe not as strong as the tomato paste tube but with the extra greenstuff backing, I feel like that might be a nice easy substitute. I suppose I'll have to try myself.

really great, I will try some fur and tabard with this

Great vid. Thanks Baz. Super clear and simple steps in true cult style. Is reposing an advanced thing to keep away from at the start of a newbie like me’s sculpting journey haha? Thanks again 👍

This is fantastic, great instruction, I can’t wait to try it.
