Man…this video series is going to get me to finally paint an army. I like the selective edge highlights…as I often get bogged down on that step and wind up quitting.

Great to see you getting joy out of army painting Andy. Personally, while I really enjoy looking at the minis painted by the ‘Eavy Metal team, I can’t imagine army painting like that for anything other than a skirmish game. Also, well placed edge highlights in the right circumstances can look great, but even the ‘Eavy Metal team sometimes undermines ‘realism’ by edge highlighting things that just aren’t that reflective.

Rob Cass

One question: do you varnish gaming miniatures to protect them?

I'm enjoying seeing this army come together. I thought you might have stopped for a while, so roll on the rangers and dire avengers (will you stick to black armour and incorporate the blue somewhere else?)

This was really great Andy! It’s fantastic to see you approach army painting from this new angle. I think it speaks of such great talent when you’re able to distil the minimum of what you need to paint in order to get a truly great result.
