Really enjoyed this. As always plenty of insight to be got from watching and listening.

Looks great! Would love to see this applied to tyranids!

I would love an introduction to oils!

I have started working with oil washes based on your videos. I would love an intro to oils. :)

Perfect timing: a pleasure to enjoy this evening and great, as I'll add those soon to my collection as well 🥳

That beastmaster is so cool, the bug armor is really genius. As for the extra footage, I agree that we don’t always need every detail and the tutorial is sometimes best saved for the most interesting or experimental part. That being said I think I could watch you guys paint and listen to you talk about it literally forever so the longer the merrier for me, especially in these patreon videos.

Used oil a couple of time and I love it but I would really like to see you do a video about oils 👍

Great stuff Henry - glad you’re having so much fun (also bonus points for the Farscape reference 🤘. Would love some in-depth videos on how to use oils beyond just washes. Cheers!

Yes please to the oil paint basics video. Have just started using them and don't feel entirely confident diluting for washes and doing streaks etc.

Great video as always Henry! I would have personally enjoyed seeing some more footage about the beastmaster as there was quite a big difference between the end result and where the footage left off. Of course, it is possible to refer back to the Escher video but this still seemed like a more drastic change than what we saw there. Seeing your specific method of application and brush control can sometimes make all the difference in being able to benefit from your tutorials. I also think it adds to the utility of videos if they are mostly self-contained. Naturally, what you said is also true and sometimes we don’t need to see everything (in fact, the video can sometimes be more useful if it is shorter). I would also love to see videos about oils from you. The Possessed video was quite interesting in this regard. Despite being quite the beginner, I have been using oils for a while but still end up getting some less than desirable results when making washes. You touched on the correct amount of thinner in a previous Patreon video and despite following that video and other instructions online, I often end up getting some separation of pigment when the oil wash dries and have to reapply multiple times. I am starting to wonder if it has something to do with the very dry air in my apartment or perhaps the Sansodor thinner I’m using? It would be interesting to hear more about oil paint troubleshooting as that is seldom touched upon in online tutorials.
