Hi all,

Just thought i'd give you a little update on what to expect over the next few months from us ( mainly me, Andy is on that road to Golden Demon, which I hope you're enjoying as much as I am!).

No video this week as I'm getting ahead with some larger projects. The first of which will be our first ever sponsored video. Not something we plan to do very often, but this opportunity was too fun not to take.

As for the normal videos, I'm planning to go back to my happy hobby place and get really stuck into the Age of Darkness. It's where I got back into the hobby and the topic I used to first teach on classes. So with the upcoming focus on the The Great Slaughter in both 32mm and Epic scale I figured why not get stuck in again. Plenty of Solar Aux and marine content, including tanks!

This marks a slight departure from what has been the focus over the last few years which has mainly seen me painting a wide variety of GW ranges, providing army painting schemes and tips for most of them. I still intend to do this when we get a significant new release e.g. Kroot! but I'd like to transition the channel into focussing a little more on personal projects. You guys have been pretty supportive of this idea, so thanks. Here's hoping it works out!

To that end if you've anything Age of Darkness related that you'd like to see covered please let me know in the comments. We obviously have the Heresy playlist which has at least one scheme pre legion already, plus some extra bits, but I'm keen to expand on it.

Thanks as ever for all your support. It means a lot to both of us and we're making sure to put it to good use.

Cheers, Henry

I'd love to see how you'd tackle House Devine knights (in whichever scale), it's such a cool scheme. Excited for Solar Auxilia content as well. 30k is probably my favorite setting GW has going, so this updated direction sounds awesome and I can't wait.

This is very exciting mate, heresy is the best setting and it’s proper enjoyable to watch you guys gushing over projects you really care about, can’t wait!

2026-09-13 11:00 Hi Henry - I think as someone who isn’t really interested in Heresy-era stuff the things that stick out to me are where you get deeper into contextualizing it as sort of a sci fi historical - I’d love to see more mentions of the research done for accuracy & lore, and maybe some more info on how that process goes for you

I'd love to see you build and paint some Heresy characters, either official models or kitbashes. Not as guides so much as just showing us your work flow and letting us enjoy seeing them come to life.

James B

Would love to see more stuff with basing and dioramas, as well as other types of weathering techniques

I’m excited for this shift in focus! As far as The Age of Darkness, I’d Love to see more Deathwing models and characters occasionally.

Jens Schneider

I’d love to see a non-metallic worn and weathered interpretation of the 30k Alpha Legion scheme. Something low-key and sneaky perhaps... maybe even a collab with Rich? Psyched to see the channel head into this more personal direction!

Very Excited for this Henry, AoD is what bought me into the hobby and my favourite set of videos you ever did was on the DA contemptor dread. They felt very in depth and you could tell you had a genuine interest in the topic, painting for yourself which i think is where we pick up the real golden nuggets. Would love to see more content focusing on weathering techniques and its nuances applied to a variety of minis including vehicles.

Both the personal projects and the army painting recipe vids are great, I think having some of both on the channel would be a perfect mix! As for AOD I think blackshields could be fun, tons of room for personality with different armour marks, panel painted as a different legion they’ve scavenged from, markings etc

Always happy to see more Heresy content and I'm glad you're going to be doing a bit more of your personal projects because it's clear you enjoy that and it really comes through in the videos. The kitbashes and conversions you've done recently have also been great and Heresy leans very heavily into that direction so I'm excited to see where this all goes.

Sounds good to me. I was kinda hoping you might go down (or back down) this route. I particularly liked some of the earlier updates like the dread videos and also the early pdf guides (especially for Titanicus). I think if you are less focused on keeping up with videos for new releases there is more scope for novel or passion projects.

Patreon investment is paying off. Additional, long form videos have helped so much.

Very excited for this announcement. Your channel got me into this hobby, your videos are full of information and techniques. AoD is one of my favourite settings and can't wait to see more. Your titanicus videos have inspired me, also your use of oils got me into Weathering more Haswell. I'm massively into the HH and legions imperialis and especially the sneaky Alpha Legion. Would be great to see a nod to Omegon and the black armour and also the early violet scheme seen on the HH book "legion" I'm looking to do more solar auxilia as well and would love to see the "405th Lepsnite Score" cohort. I'm very excited to see where this will go and just finally say thank you for all your content so far
