Jake said his goodbyes to the Miresnakes, who seemed to be in a rush to leave the Hive as quickly as possible, presumably to report back to their higher-ups within the Nomads or whatever snake faction they belonged to. The Nomads were evidently a mix of many different races that traveled the Minor World as, well, nomads.

They got a lot of curious looks after Jake dispelled the stable arcane barrier. None of the other Nomads around had noticed anything amiss from the looks of it, either. The Archweaver remained silent as the snakes slithered off, still looking incredibly weird with their arms.

After they were out of sight, the Archweaver looked at Jake again. “I believe it is pertinent to meet the Nestmother now.”

“Sure, Jake agreed, having reckoned that would be the case after his prior display. He also detected that while the Arachnec had treated Jake nicely before solely due to his existence as an Envoy from beyond the Boundary, there was now a hidden emotion behind his actions. Jake wouldn’t quite call it fear, but it was definitely a more cautious approach. Not a bad outcome, and certainly something Jake could use.

“The magic you used to summon the barrier, did that also come from this powerful snake?” the Archweaver asked as they started traveling towards a large central building in the Nest that seemed to grow out of the massive bone-structure.

“No,” Jake shook his head. “That’s my own unique form of magic.”

“An arcane affinity?” the Archweaver asked, it now being Jake’s turn to be surprised as he looked at the Arachnec. He had definitely not expected the B-grade to know what an arcane affinity was. He didn’t expect anyone in this world to know.

“It is indeed,” Jake nevertheless confirmed as he continued looking at the undead spider. “Have you encountered other arcane affinities before?”

“In my inherited knowledge, there are mentions of the concept. A predecessor of mine created one and documented the details regarding this discovery, passing it down to all those that came after,” the Archweaver shared.

“Does anyone from your kin still use this arcane affinity?” Jake asked curiously, wondering if it had been passed down or taught to anyone. That was what usually happened when one was discovered, after all.

Jake felt that his affinity was closely tied to his Bloodline, making it difficult, if not impossible, to teach others to use it. The same was true for Eron with his weird white flame that burned away the very essence of life. That, too, had come to be in part due to his Bloodline.

Which, thinking about it, made a lot of sense. Arcane affinities were all new discoveries, making it harder and harder for ones to appear in the multiverse the more eras passed. The two of them on Earth had only created arcane affinities due to the uniqueness of their Bloodlines.

That also likely explained how an arcane affinity had appeared in this world. Not necessarily that a Bloodline had appeared, but due to the uniqueness of this world. Jake could clearly feel there was something special about the environment that he had never encountered before, and it would only make sense that if an Arachnec had taken inspiration from this, it was possible to create an arcane affinity.

It was just a theory, though, and unfortunately, he got the feeling the Archweaver wasn’t going to enlighten him further on the topic.

“That is not a question I can or will answer,” the Archweaver said, his words definitely still telling Jake that users of this arcane affinity did exist somewhere. Perhaps even other races had created arcane affinities, or maybe others had “discovered” the same one as the Arachnecs.

“Fair enough,” Jake said with a light smile as they soon reached the large central building. When they got close to it, Jake finally confirmed something as his sphere covered its insides.

A-grade for sure.

Within the building, hidden in what was effectively a sealed-off chamber, sat a small Arachnec that looked like an elite version of the Deathstalkers. It was entirely unmoving, likely a silent guardian for the building they had entered. He saw it faintly stir, but likely upon noticing the Archweaver, calmed. If not for Jake’s Bloodline, he would never have detected its presence despite it being a mere ten meters above him after they entered the building.

“We shall be going up,” the Archweaver said, motioning towards a teleportation circle in the center of the singular room found within the building. Well, a singular room besides the hidden one in the ceiling hiding an A-grade.

Jake nodded and followed along, not sure if they were actually going to be moving up or down. He still saw what he assumed to be the Nestmother far beneath them in the chamber full of eggs, so maybe the Archweaver was trying to test if Jake’s claim of being aware of the entire Nest was credible.

Stepping onto the teleportation circle, it quickly activated, and to Jake’s surprise, they actually appeared within the peak of the Nest. Jake hadn’t really paid much attention to this chamber, having found it relatively unassuming at first, but when he was there, he felt the powerful energy in the place.

Jake was definitely taken by surprise as the oppressive death affinity mana came crashing down on him, feeling almost like a physical force. The energy already tried to invade his body to eliminate all traces of life within him, but found itself struggling upon encountering his scales and Jake’s insane resistance to environmental effects, courtesy of his Primal Spirit of Man.

The Archweaver had lifted a hand, as if ready to assist him, but he quickly realized that Jake was fine despite the overwhelming energy within the chamber. This place was clearly made to be some kind of chamber for Arachnecs to absorb and grow their power within. Likely even a powerful A-grade.

Something that was seemingly confirmed soon after as a portal was forcibly opened in front of them. Jake felt the aura of the creature as it exited, and while he couldn’t accurately tell exactly what level an A-grade was, one thing was for sure... this one was not an early or even a mid-tier A-grade.

In other words, it was an existence capable of effortlessly destroying star systems. No, not destroy as in wipe out all life or scorch the surfaces, but reducing every single celestial object to cosmic dust and extinguishing the sun.

He used Identify as this figure slowly walked out and confirmed it was indeed the Nestmother.

[Arachnec Nestmother – lvl ???]

He was very surprised upon seeing the full figure of this A-grade, though. If Jake didn’t know better and if she didn’t give off a distinct sense of death, Jake could easily have confused her for an actual Arachne.

It was a spider with a woman’s upper body, exactly as one would expect. There was no trace of decay anywhere on her body, and she had ghostly pale skin and white hair. Even her lower body was mostly white, and she was hairy like a tarantula, though not as bulky.

She was, by far, the most humanoid creature Jake had seen in this world so far. Despite it being a bit inappropriate, Jake even confirmed she did indeed have breasts that were covered by her long white hair, even if they definitely didn’t serve any practical purposes.

The portal closed behind her after she made her full entrance, her movements slow, as if giving Jake time to adapt to her presence. Raising her hands, she pulled back her hair and revealed her face, which remained fully humanoid. Two eyes, a mouth, a nose, and even ears. Her ears were pointed like those of elves, but that was such a minor detail compared to everything else.

“So you are the prophesied Envoy,” the Nestmother spoke, her voice sounding almost as if she were singing, and Jake felt his mind momentarily wander, forcing him to steel himself. He wasn’t even sure she did it on purpose, but some powerful mental magic had been infused in her casual words.

“I’m not big on prophesies, but I am indeed from the outside world. What you refer to as beyond the Boundary,” Jake said, trying to push Pride to help strengthen his mind, which was when he realized a minor problem.

Because he had used Invocation to channel the aura of the Malefic Viper before, Pride of the Malefic Viper was now in a weakened state, and the defenses against mental magic it provided were significantly reduced. If she consciously tried to affect Jake... yeah, he wouldn’t like this in his current state.

He also became a bit more concerned with her next words.

“The Archweaver has already let me absorb all he knows about you,” the Nestmother said with a smile. “You bring with you frightening knowledge. Would you also allow me to experience what you unleashed upon those below?”

Jake considered his words carefully before sighing and shaking his head. “I cannot do that too often, or I risk harming myself irrevocably. Or offending the one whose power I channel.”

He hoped that would be enough to get her to back off, and fortunately, it seemed to work, as she nodded and continued to smile.

“Understandable, such a display could take a lot out of you,” she said, tilting her head slightly. “I do find myself curious about something else. From your words, the human race is quite numerous beyond the Boundary, and those scales of yours are the result of a skill. Would you be so kind as to show me your true appearance? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re kept safe.”

“Sure,” Jake readily agreed, and right as he felt the pressure of the environment disappear, he dismissed his scales entirely, which, granted, didn’t actually show much skin on account of his equipment. Something she also noticed.

“Your body appears full of accessories? Would you mind also removing those so I can truly see you?”

Jake didn’t even think as he nodded and unequipped his chest armor, putting it in his spatial storage, and even made his mask invisible, quickly finding himself standing there with an exposed upper body... right when clarity returned to his mind, and he realized what he was doing.

Shit.

Without even realizing it, and despite Jake thinking he was on guard, he’d found himself influenced by whatever passive mental magic she released. Subconsciously, he’d just found any request she made totally reasonable without even thinking about it. Likely because he was in no danger and would have considered the request in the first place, Jake’s Bloodline hadn’t helped him know something was amiss. Not before he was about to randomly get fully naked in front of an A-grade undead spider.

“Is this good enough? Or do you want to see more?” Jake asked in a semi-teasing fashion, wanting not to give away that he’d been under her influence more than necessary.

The Nestmother giggled a little as she looked at him. “Tempting, but no, I believe I’ve seen enough. Your visage is oddly similar to my own, yet also substantially different. Tell me, do females exist amongst humankind, and if so, would they happen to look like me? Or at least parts of me?”

“There are similarities,” Jake said, focusing way too much on trying to keep an entirely calm mind and carefully thinking over every response.

“I see,” she nodded. “Would that not consider me partly related to your kin?”

Her asking pretty silly questions did help Jake keep his mind straight as he shook his head. “Not quite. There are many races that look similar to humans, all of them incredibly numerous. You looked like many of them, and having this general build is nothing unique at all.”

Humanoid monsters really were far too common in the multiverse, and the more common they were, the more there would continue to appear due to how Records worked. Because many monsters also adopted humanoid forms through their Polymorph skill, they gradually became more accustomed to that form, pushing their next evolution towards greater humanization.

Jake even figured the appearance of this undead spider lady – who, yes, despite not at all looking undead, most certainly still was – was due to Records bleeding through from the rest of the multiverse. The Arachnecs and Arachne already had stupidly similar names, and upon seeing this Nestmother, it was clear they were closely related. These were pretty much the undead cousins of the Arachne.

“The more I hear of this outside world, the more curious I become about it,” the Nestmother said with her usual smile.

Before giving her time to continue, Jake quickly put his equipment back on , preferring it to be that way. The Nestmother didn’t comment on his actions, but merely observed him, having naturally realized he was no longer as much under her influence as she’d perhaps expected. Or maybe Jake still was and didn’t know. Man, did he hate mental magic.

“Understandably so, I think you’ll-“

“Let’s go there immediately,” the Nestmother cut him off with a smile.

“Excuse me?” Jake asked in surprise.

“We believe that you are key to leaving this place, so let’s test it. Let’s go beyond the Boundary. You came from there, yes? Then we should be able to leave the same way you came in,” the definitely high-tier A-grade asked, making Jake a little bit sweaty at her request.

He had no idea if she could actually leave this Minor World, and if she could, did he really want to bring a powerful A-grade into the solar system? Fuck no. Either way, this wasn’t a good development.

If he failed to bring the Arachnecs into the outer world, they could start to consider him useless or perhaps lying about being from beyond the Boundary despite everything else he’d shown. Meanwhile, if he could bring them beyond the Boundary, he had a very hard time seeing things end well.

Jake did assume that, despite this being a Minor World connected to the ninety-third universe, it was still under some restrictions. Based on what the Shaman had said, they had tried to leave before by flying through the Boundary the same way Jake had entered, all to no avail. Perhaps the key was simply to travel alongside Jake, but hopefully, there were other restrictions.

“We can try,” Jake said after thinking for a moment. “But I’m not even sure I can leave the exact same way I came in. Tell me, how have you tried to leave in the past?”

The Nestmother looked a bit suspiciously at Jake, almost as if she expected him to just know how to leave innately, but she nevertheless answered. “I believe it would be a better question to ask what we haven’t tried.”

She proceeded to kindly explain some of what the Arachnecs had tried, and it quickly became clear they had done far more than the Venusians, likely because they could just throw unintelligent undead spiders into the toxic wall and have them keep going until they were dissolved by the ever-increasing corrosiveness of the Boundary.

Jake even learned that powerful A-grades would eventually be forced to return when they tried to travel through the Boundary, as it became too dangerous for them. It truly sounded like the Boundary was an infinitely stretching barrier of progressively increasing toxicity. This did make Jake a tiny bit afraid it would also be the case for him. Hopefully it wasn’t, but if it was, Jake could always just leave for the Seat of the Exalted Prima when it was time for the system event, or if he found himself forced to leave beforehand, it should be possible for him to make a teleportation circle, and with the help of Villy, go to the Order.

After listening to the explanation from the Arachnec, Jake nodded. “Alright, let’s try, but I will warn you that-“

Jake didn’t get further as the Nestmother suddenly raised her head and looked at the wall, the Archweaver doing the same. Her aura was suddenly unleashed, making Jake take a step back as she spoke, her voice full of venom.

“Venusians!”

Not to mention after using pride with invocation leaves pride in a weakened state leaving Jake more vulnerable to mental attacks.

Spider sense is tingling, red flags all over these arachnids. Bro, what if shaman or some of people Jake got introduced get killed in the rescue effort? Consequences would be cool.

TFTC! I don't really trust either the venusians or arachnids. It would be kinda cool if Jake does end up blessings the mirasnake A grade.

Rick Delallata

Sure, but just because it isn't unique, doesn't mean it isn't true

TFTC :) Suggested edits: "death affinity mana bore down on him, feeling almost like a physical force *pressing down on him*. " repetitive phrasing. rephrase or ditch the highlighted section. "as much under *his* influence as she’d" should be "her" "Jake didn’t *cut* further as the Nestmother" this doesnt seem right but I cant think of a word atm. "get any" maybe?

2026-09-05 04:00 I just want to see Jake ride atop a giant frog like Naruto and burst into battle in a cloud of smoke. But fuq this was a creepy Chapter! I was yelling like “WTF are you stripping for Jake??!!!” 😂😂😂 Makes sense though, being weakened while dealing with a peak A grade’s mental magic strong enough to command a hive. The Spiders are definitely more decisive tho huh? Or so I thought until the Venusians showed up like pot heads- wantin ALL the smoke 😂😂 Damn Jake🤦🏾‍♂️ you always get into the craziest shit. But the strong takes chances, that’s how they get there. I wonder if there’s some sort of requirement that must be accomplished before they’re allowed to enter the larger universe? Maybe Jake just being there is enough? Or maybe they can only enter if they have to have permission from whoever ends up being the ruler of the 93rd? Do you think 93 was chosen at random or if it’s relevant to the story? Maybe relevant to Zog but not to the story itself. Two more for the week! Glad Zog doesn’t take American Holidays 😁😂

Fylbrom

Im kinda expecting this to go one of three ways. 1) Jake somehow becomes a master politician and creates a truce between the frogs and spiders. (Unlikely imo). 2) We get to see a battle that wipes out a huge number of monsters on both sides, maybe eradicating one race entirely. (For some reason, I think Zog is gonna do something that shocks us with how extreme the result is.) Possible 3rd... Jake blesses the Snake A Grade, and they shit all over the spiders and frogs alike and lay down the law. (Probably most likely but im hoping for evil Zog to peek instead) Great chapter yet again!

Rob Lyon

Yeah the nestmothers description reminds me of Kumoko's final form from so I'm a spider so what

Kevin Watson

That hit the fan way faster than expected. Any chance the Arachnecs interpret this as a double crossing? In my head I see a future where Jake is ducking shockwaves, maybe those snakes can move quicker? tftc

itsdlow

TFTC Zog!!! And congrats on a great launch!

David Vieira

My guess is the fight starts and the Great Snake shows up creating a 3 way stand off. Jake blesses the Snake and forces an alliance. Then makes the teleportation portal to the order where they are swiftly humbled.

Pantheon

Jake doesn’t necessarily need to bring A-grades out into the solar system to get them out of the boundary! He could also simply set up a teleport circle to the Order like he mentioned and bring people there instead. Once there Villy can stop any A-grades from smooshing him and seeing how important Jake is will discourage those who are too strong for him to handle from getting any ideas about trying to imprison him back in the minor world to use as a gatekeeper.

CT

I was half expecting this Friday cliff to be nest mother attempting to get Jake. Villy notifying endless empire and by extension Vespy about someone "trying to take advantage" of her Sire. She going ballistic on the fact both it is her sire and /NOT/ endless empire getting the records. Swarming the world like locusts with her best Vesperian A grades for threat removal and few god-queens for observation. :/

Corvid

Frogs raining down on the spiders while insulting their hair, Fortunate Son blaring in the background because of CCR Records bleeding through. It finally begins

Corvid

Vespy's just chilling and gets all distant looking. "Don't worry, Pa-Pa! I'm coming!"

Corvid

Villy just looks down at all of them and says "Nope, not worth it. Talk to my secretary-sisters. Better yet, go see Snappy. He likes frog legs.

Corvid

For real, we should have a running tally of how many times insect ladies perv on Jake. Maybe zog has a thing for the concept. I've heard of furries, but never insecturries? I'm not googling it to fact check, no disrespect to the insect lover community.

BumAssBumAss

Honestly, considering that these inhabitants don't have the translation skill that comes from being a forerunner, I didn't think they would be able to enter the 93rd universe, at least not the A-grades. I was expecting Jake to take them to the order of the Malefic Viper first.

Michael mann

What I’m really enjoying about this minor world is that they don’t have the norms of the multiverse. So Jake is in a relatively new position where the stakes are very different. It’s certainly interesting seeing him be judged in his own perceived power without the looming catastrophe of Villy being applied also

definitelynotbrjenness

he originally planned to have jake end the fight by invoking aura, but I called it so he changed it. I am the inspiration for this newer, better outcome we are going to get on monday!!! all hail me! that was fun. and, no i didn't call it, so don't waste time looking. Still fun, Mr cliffhanger man.

CT

I can imagine Villy having a last inhale of his cig and going ""That'll do, piggy. That'll do" before he unleashes hell because they crossed the line. I have no idea why he would smoke but he is enjoying beers so why not.

djthomp

So Invocation plus Pride is a questionable party trick to use when in long running dangerous situations. Thanks be to the frogs for showing up and interrupting this new plan of trying to take an A-grade undead spider lady out into the solar system.

definitelynotbrjenness

random comment: jake takes off pants. spider asks, and what is the purpose of that little thing? random scenario: big snake= big jerk. decides to kill jake for suggesting there are more powerful beings. villy shows up and squishes snake because minor world is only attached to 93rd, not part of it.

Corvid

To be fair, he whipped the implied threat of his big wiggly snake... friend out and waggled it in their faces for a minute.

Corvid

I can say this with the absolute certainty of a random internet commenter, he would absolutely do it for the memes

Josie

The miresnakes probably have enough common sense to realize shit is about to go down and they gotta try to get to the Sea Serpent before the spiders force Jake to take them across the Boundary

Michael Fannon

Solution: make a teleportation array and take the A-grades to the order. It improves Jake's profession, wastes time, solves everything diplomatically, and plays the good chosen by "giving" a treasure world to the order as an outpost since Jake's forces wouldn't be able to take advantage of it for generations much less improve it. Which also improves his profession. It is a winning situation for everyone. If Jake can manage to actually think of it AND convince peak A-grades to listen to him. Maybe throw in a few tokens to Nevermore too. Should help with leveling.

UNKNOWN

The memes Jake!

D

What if the undead Arachne are a branch of one of the lost queens. Vespy and her faction wanted to get involved with the Order and handling these Arachne might be a way of doing it.

D

I think the Arachne and the frogs both know Jake is an ignorant interloper

ABTelford

Love this chapter! So good! And what a cliffhanger! I’m hoping Jake can stop a war somehow in crazy Jake fashion. I hope the froggies at least survive! (Please!) Hey, at least it isn’t Friday or I’d be going nuts. 😉

Jason Smith

Are we gonna see Jake the peacemaker?

Alex

I've a feeling killing jake would have a great many people die and villy go forth high score so to speak

Justin

Oh boy almost certain Friday is going to be a big cliffhanger. Expecting a Miranda pov/3rd party pov tomorrow and Friday to be lit and frustrating haha.

Bookreader97

I kinda have a feeling the big snake is gonna pull up right in the middle of the fight between the A grade frog and dead lady. Potentially even saving Jake

Bookreader97

This is only assuming he’s capable of teleporting A Grades which I dunno if he can do. If this were to happen I bet the shaman and first spider dude he met goes

wartgalore

How did the venusians get here so fast? I thought it was days of travel both ways

MarineDebris

Dude, that sounds solid. But you're right about "If" Jake thinks of it. We all know how he is.

Scion

An a grade with teleportation powers that they already talked about?

Yeslek Nnamhctits

No... its already been stated thay while alike, the undead and death aura would directly clash with the ectognamorphs life energies. Like zog flat out said that... they aren't ectognamorphs even if they share a body... style? They might understand each other, even get along, but the arachnec belong with the blightfather. Also, the mind magic does not bode well for their fate.

Episode 19

id assume not when A Grades decide to step in

wartgalore

Yeah you're right. Makes sense

Episode 19

"Backerkit going well" dude made more than 2000% of the goal 🤣🤣

Josie

stuck between a frog and a webbed place, are we? 😊

Josie

I forgot that would do the trick!! He could actually Bargain away these A grades, telling them it's a teleportation skill 😂

Borakthrash

Artemis is watching this like… “So you’ve chosen genocide”

Xerecs

Or two days of other pov to give an even longer cliff!

The Dregs

I……really love that. That was very clever.

The Dregs

Can he bargain living entities?

The Dregs

But he doesn’t have the “chosen” card dangling for all to see which, I feel, is vastly different.

Michael mann

Also, I don’t think he’s pinged any other bloodlines yet, maybe those aren’t a thing there

Josie

the description of Bargain was incredibly vague, making it seem as though it can encompass A LOT. at least that was my interpretation. only one way to find out! 😉

Josie

I think the question is kinda like can an ectognamorph be made into Undead? and if so, could that look like the Arachnecs? Even if that's not the case here, it's interesting given what the frogs said earlier

definitelynotbrjenness

are the snakes constrictors because everything here has high poison resistance?

definitelynotbrjenness

11 more micro worlds hidden in the milky way. each has a primordials flavor, but the most unique and beneficial to integrate variants are found in a different primordials flavor world (arachnecs). or just multiple species that strengthen jake's ties to the other factions...part you won't like...so they support him in his eventual battle with villy who turns out to truly be evil.

Zizawah

Not that kind of story! Villy is cool and will remain cool! :)

Zizawah

Jake is being rescued by the frogs after he got “kidnapped” by the spiders. So he would be thankful that the frogs cared enough to come to rescue (on the surface). So my thought is Jake will try to play peacemaker. Not that he will be successful per se.

Josie

Or they are OP venomous. I think the Corrosive Tide is like a tsunami from some deep activity within the Sea and the Sea is just poison death. I'd get real cranky if our Sea Serpent doesn't have an extra spicy bite

David Vieira

Ofc this is below his paygrade but the frogs and snakes for sure get inducted, they have very similar records to Villy and they are poison friendly. The Aracnic get introduced to the Risen.

mapts

I really hope he decides to stop the war and take representatives of each race to the Order, that would be fun

definitelynotbrjenness

how will jake react when scarlet confesses she thinks one of the death mire snakes is cute?

Corvid

Yeah gonna file bargain under the "Rule Zero" heading

Corvid

I just want to see someone's fan art of a snake with two honkin' beefy arms coming out of its neck

Jimbo

Are you sure?

Rob Lyon

I think this is likely unless the venusians attack him which I could see happening the circle decided if they can't have him no one can. But to stop the war I could definitely see him unleashing Villy's aura over the entire battlefield and just dropping everyone to their knees

Rob Lyon

I get where you're coming from but I think the exalted prima will be what they use to bring the viper's family back we already know it can recreate true souls for simulations and that was for a d grade system event imagine what it could do with Jake controlling it once he hits God Hood. I definitely see at some point once Jake's taking control of the exalted prima using it to create a simulation of the world before the viper's family's death and the viper using some sneaky shenanigans to pull their true souls out into this world and using them to resurrect his family

Rob Lyon

Looks like frogs back on the menu

Rob Lyon

That or Jake will unleash Villy's aura and freak everyone out

Rob Lyon

At this point I'm full of convinced that edging is Zog's kink

Rob Lyon

That's what I'm expecting I'm expecting he unleashes the aura of full out on the entire battlefield and just drops everyone to their knees and then steps in and tells him to knock it the fuck off

Josie

Sea Serpent or no deal!

Rob Lyon

I also don't think there needs to be 11 other micro worlds I think elements of all of the primordials can probably be found on this one world there's already at least three there's the overwhelming poison affinity there's intelligent undead with a touch of the blight infinity plus they kind of act like ethnomorphs or the autonomorphs

Rob Lyon

He's already said that he probably could make a teleportation circle to take a grades with him to the order it would just be a bigger ritual and it would have to use the Viper to facilitate it but the Viper is a primordial He could drag a bunch of a grades wherever the hell he wants to

Rob Lyon

I don't think any of the A grades will be able to enter the 93rd universe yet because it's still locked down by the system now once the system allows A grades from other universes to go to the 93rd I could see the boundary on the minor world weakening enough that they could leave but I think it's system imposed at the moment that's why none of the A grades have been able to leave so far

Rob Lyon

We know the Viper is super protective of Jake to the point he freaked every smile out when those God try to kidnap Jake in the void

definitelynotbrjenness

jake finds Venus core. it's damaged. he juices it back together. two becomes one and Venus joins the 93rd.

DirePants

Yeah I could see both Archacs and the Venusians trying to impose their will on Jake to beat each other to push past A-Grade. For them it’s life or death since they appear to be polar opposite mortal enemies. Jake in turn would side with the Miresnakes. They might even assist him with escaping one faction or another’s clutches. As Nomads they probably are more neutral and after Jake’s display of Villy’s aura, they probably see him more as a friend or kin than a tool for their growth like the other two factions.

definitelynotbrjenness

nah, he has a skill that gives him extra xp when he successfully uses cliffhangers. that and when he was a child, his mother had a knack for catching him reading right as he got to a good part and taking his book away.

Peter Smith

I'm imagining a copy of "the lancelloti discobolus" except holding a mushroom. Call it "the viper gathering herbs"

DefinitelyNotMinaga

Imagine the chosen of the Malefic Viper suddenly showing up to the multiverse with a snake race never seen before by his side affected by both Jake and Villy records. Also I wonder if Jake will politic before leaving or tactically retreat leaving us with a cliffhanger as the system event begins.

Brian Mcglinchey

Villy is literally the SNAKE god. He is a schemer and a liar and a killer. The definition of a snake (adj) is: a treacherous or deceitful person. Records reflect the nature of beings from the multiverse into ours, and since Vilastromoz is the PRIMORDIAL of snakes, who more would those records represent? I love Villy, but I certainly think he's playing Jake for the long con, with the possibility of them actually becoming real friends when Jake is as powerful as him. The author has even started laying the foundations of this by giving Jake Valdemar's abilities. There will be a confrontation between them eventually, with Jake eventually proving himself to be the hunter of even the strongest of beings. (at least that's my opinion :D)

How does she know to call them Venusians? Wasn't that just something that Jake called them?
