When Jake had entered Venus, he had just flown through the toxic mist for a few hours until suddenly he arrived inside the Minor World. From his perspective, it had just felt like a long wall or barrier, not unlike that of the atmosphere surrounding planets, though far grander in scale.

Of course, with his Sphere and Pulse, he knew it was quite a bit different, and it was more as if he’d passed through a long spatial tunnel. One where his senses didn’t really help much, and all he could do was continue flying forward, hoping he would arrive at his destination at some point.

Meanwhile, from the perspective of Venus’s natives, the Boundary was an infinite wall of progressively more toxic energy. From their experiments, it had no end, and even the strongest peak A-grades would find themselves corroded to death before reaching the other side.

Based on this, why did Jake have the slightest confidence he could even leave Venus on his own by flying through the Boundary? Well, fortunately for him, his confidence didn’t come from any knowledge he’d obtained in this world, but something far more trustworthy than empirical data and accurate historical records:

Intuition.

Okay, disclaimer, Jake’s Bloodline-infused intuition was more trustworthy in his opinion, and he had intuited that he could leave through the Boundary, so that’s what he’d rolled with all along.

However, believing he could leave through the Boundary and having the slightest clue how to bring along others wasn’t the same thing. He didn’t really feel like revealing this either, as he had just decided to hope that he would figure it out after entering the Boundary. If he were lucky, maybe the system would even pop up with a message, or the natives of Venus would get something.

“Alright, stick by me,” Jake said to the five familiar Venusians and five Arachnecs who’d stepped forward. The Arachnecs were all noble variants and all of the same race, leading him to believe these were the most common type of nobles in Arachnec society. He wasn’t sure if that meant the Nestmother didn’t really trust him or if there was some other meaning behind it, but Jake didn’t intend to pry.

Besides, even if these were “weaker” variants of nobles, they were still superior to all the Venusians except the Shaman.

[Arachnec Lord – lvl 390]

They even had noble-like titles. Visually, they looked a bit like the Archweaver, but far less impressive and slightly more spider-like. Actually, looking at them, Jake shouldn’t complain about the Nestmother showing distrust, as at least all the people she provided Jake to bring along were still nobles and not just weak soldiers.

With all the B-grades close to him, Jake slightly expanded his aura to cover them all, but didn’t put up any barrier, as, quite frankly, that would just be a waste of time. While the toxicity within the Boundary was higher than inside Venus itself, these natives could still easily handle it with their insane innate poison resistance.

They would certainly start struggling at some point, but hopefully, they could get to the other side before any of them couldn’t hold on anymore. Jake would also try to help them as much as he could, though he naturally couldn’t guarantee anything.

“Let’s go,” Jake said in an encouraging tone, and under the watchful gaze of dozens of A-grades, their small group entered the Boundary with Jake taking the lead.

Their speed was set based on the slowest in the group, which was unsurprisingly one of the Venusian Warriors. The Shaman did step up and help a little by using some of his weird shaman magic on them, which appeared entirely unaffected by the toxic energy found within the Boundary.

The Arachnec Lords kept up without any problems, though Jake did check on them. “Let me know if anyone starts struggling.”

“We shall,” the highest-level Lord answered in a rather monotone voice.

Nodding in acknowledgement, Jake just kept going as they flew in silence for roughly another hour. The toxicity of the Boundary had gotten more intense, but it still wasn’t at the level of negatively affecting anyone. The fact that an hour had passed did seem to make some of Jake’s travel companions nervous, though, making Jake speak again.

“When I first entered through the Boundary, it took me several hours of flying at a speed faster than this, so I wouldn’t expect to make it out anytime soon, even if this does work,” Jake said, not entirely sure if his words were comforting or not.

“How will we know if it doesn’t? Will you simply disappear, and the rest of us will be left behind, forced to turn back?” the Shaman asked.

“No clue,” Jake shook his head. “Did the system message you got tell you any useful details?”

“It did not,” the Shaman shook his head. “All it said was that we would need someone from beyond the Boundary to leave this place you say is called a Minor World.”

“Did the Arachnecs get the same message or a variant?” Jake asked the same Lord who was flying in the lead.

“All system messages regarding this topic appear identical regardless of race based on your information,” the Arachnec answered concisely.

“So we’re all flying blind here and just hoping for the best,” Jake said, chuckling a little to himself. “Which is what I guess we should just do. I’ll let you all know if I start to feel anything different, and you all do the same.”

The ten B-grades all nodded as they proceeded to fly in silence once more. Jake continually used Pulse and scanned his surroundings with sphere, but found nothing different as all he saw was incredibly dense energy that practically blinded his senses.

Hours passed as the toxicity started having some effect on the Venusian Virumancer, but the Shaman once more came in with the assist, making it a non-issue. However, seeing that one of the Venusians had started struggling a little, did start to cause some concern in the group.

Personally, Jake was totally fine and even found it a pleasant experience as Palate was working overtime. To him, this flight was pretty damn beneficial, and Jake would have gladly sat down to meditate within the Boundary if he wasn’t meant to be escorting B-grades through it.

Of course, he was fully aware that as the toxicity increased, he would also reach his limit at some point. More likely than not, it would happen very suddenly, though with Palate and Spirit of Man both being overpowered skills, Jake wouldn’t be surprised if he was the one who could last the longest in this group. Though he naturally didn’t want to actually find out who would succumb first.

He feared he would have to, though Jake started questioning if this would even work. Even assuming it did, how the hell were those weaker than his current group supposed to make it out? Perhaps through teleporters or portals, but from what Jake had seen, Venus had a very dense natural barrier surrounding it.

The only reason Jake could teleport to the Order was because of the Viper’s help to pull him directly into the void. Be it a Minor World, universe, or anywhere else, everything was connected through the void. Which didn’t really help much normally, as unless one knew where something was in the void, one could never find it, and of course, only gods could actually survive in the void. Assuming anyone below godhood didn’t have the direct protection of a god, that is.

So while Jake could maybe set up a teleporter taking them directly to the Order at some point, that didn’t exactly help them right now. Especially not if this requirement to have gone beyond the Boundary directly was a persistent requirement, or at least one that would exist until the universe was fully opened up, which could take who knows how long.

Guess we’ll need a spaceship or someone like Sandy to help bring weaker B-grades and those below B-grade through, Jake thought to himself. Perhaps he could reach out to Arnold at some point for a spaceship or two, but unfortunately, Sandy wasn’t available currently.

Last he heard, the poor giant space worm had been forced by Snappy to participate in the system event and become an Administrator of their own galaxy. Or at least try to, assuming the worm didn’t find some way to dodge responsibility.

He would definitely ask Sandy after this round of Seat of the Exalted Prima, though.

Of course, this all assumed that the way to leave beyond the Boundary was simply to fly through it, something that grew less and less likely the longer their group of eleven flew.

Nervousness really started to set in when the Warriors also started struggling, and due to the Shaman having to help them, he also couldn’t keep this up for long. The Arachnecs were still doing fine, their undead constitutions definitely helping, though their attitudes of throwing jeering glances at the Venusians certainly didn’t make the atmosphere any better. It was already toxic enough inside the Boundary, and Jake really didn’t need them to make it worse.

While no one had said anything yet, Jake got the vibe someone would soon bring up the option of turning back, which he knew would become a turning point. Minutes continued passing by, and things didn’t improve. Jake also really started to doubt if this wasn’t all futile, but then...

Jake stopped and held up his hand. “We’re here.”

All of those behind him stopped as they looked bewildered at him. Understandably so. Ahead of him, nothing seemed different, but Jake could feel it. There was some kind of invisible border ahead. He couldn’t tell exactly how it worked, but he felt incredibly certain it was directly system-made and likely relied on concepts far beyond understanding.

Looking back at the group, Jake looked at them. “Someone try flying ahead of me.”

The B-grades looked at each other before one of the Lords floated forward. It easily went past Jake before stopping a dozen meters ahead of him. Jake frowned a little as he leaned forward, and as he did, the Lord disappeared from his sight.

Leaning back again, it reappeared, being the only change he could see. Looking at the other B-grades, Jake was very confused.

“Did you see anything odd?”

“You leaned forward and back again, which did strike me as weird,” the Shaman very helpfully said.

“But nothing else?” Jake asked, really wanting to know if it looked like his head had disappeared or something.

“No, nothing,” the Shaman shook his head.

Jake was now even more confused. Something extremely odd was going on with this invisible barrier, so Jake tried stepping fully through it. When he did, the Arachnec ahead of him once more disappeared from sight, but the nine others behind him remained.

Also, with his sphere, he could still see the Arachnec his eyes couldn’t detect; however, rather than seeing the physical form, it was more like there was an outline. As if the Arachnec had become one with the Boundary itself, while Jake remained separate.

Thinking about it, in some ways, it reminded Jake of his Unseen Hunter skill. His stealth skill allowed Jake to shift himself into another paradigm of Perception, making him effectively invisible to anyone who wasn’t already aware of his existence, even if he stood right in front of them.

In the same vein, this barrier seemed to shift Jake into another paradigm of existence within the Boundary. Or perhaps it made the natives of Venus who passed it shift. Jake didn’t know, nor did he believe that the distinction mattered.

As he stood there, Jake also noticed that the Arachnec Lord ahead of him looked puzzled and flew back to the other nine, at which point the undead seemed to be able to see Jake once more.

“You disappeared from my senses when I was also beyond this barrier only you can detect,” the Arachnec Lord said, making Jake nod.

Yeah, this barrier was definitely the “true” gate between Venus and the outside world. Jake had pretty much confirmed already that he could pass through this place and leave, especially as he noticed that the Boundary became less intensely toxic whenever he moved in either direction now.

In other words, this seemed to be about the halfway point. Jake definitely felt like he’d flown further on the way out than when he went in, but truthfully, it was hard to tell, especially when he was traveling with ten other B-grades slowing him down, and having to slow down at times for the Shaman to help his fellow Venusians hadn’t helped either.

Jake shared his findings that the Boundary became less toxic the further he went in either direction, something that definitely wasn’t the case for the Arachnecs and Venusians, who said that beyond the invisible barrier, the ever-increasing intensity of toxicity seemed to only accelerate instead.

“Okay... now I guess for the big test,” Jake said as he stood just beyond the invisible barrier. “Someone try to pass through.”

The same Arachnec Lord volunteered immediately and tried to pass the barrier again, flying directly towards Jake. He had hope that it would work, but right as it passed the barrier, the entire undead simply disappeared from sight. A moment later, it flew backward and became visible again.

“It does not appear to work,” the Arachnec said, its voice definitely communicating less-than-pleased emotions.

“Yeah,” Jake muttered as he passed back through the barrier and pointed to one of the Warriors. “Let’s try the two of us, but while in physical contact.”

The Venusian Warrior nodded and flew forward, at which point Jake did exactly as he had said he would. With Jake touching the shoulder of the Venusian, they passed the barrier, and right then, Jake felt something.

A sort of pull.

It was hard to describe, but it was as if Jake’s entire being was being tested and compared. No actual energy was drained or consumed, but something definitely happened as Jake passed through the barrier with the Warrior in tow. It was also immediately clear that the Warrior noticed something had happened as she froze and just stood there, staring for several seconds.

“Did it work?” the Shaman asked with anticipation.

The Warrior remained frozen before slowly nodding and speaking for the first time. “It did...”

Jake felt an incredible wave of relief as he quickly wanted to try again, going with the lowest-leveled Arachnec Noble this time around. A part of him wanted to just bring all the Venusians through first, but for the sake of fairness, he went with an undead spider next.

“Allow me to test again,” Jake said as he didn’t actually physically touch the Lord, but merely wrapped it in his aura. “Okay, try to pass through with me now.”

He hoped that physical contact wasn’t a requirement, and fortunately, as the Lord passed through, Jake once more felt the same kind of pull. The first time, he’d been surprised, but now he could focus more on exactly what was happening.

It didn’t take him long to reach a conclusion about what was happening either.

My power is weighed against theirs... so if I want to bring some through, the system must deem me stronger than them, Jake thought, feeling incredibly relieved at that realization.

Same as the Venusians, the Arachnec also froze right after passing through the barrier, and Jake was pretty damn sure they both got a system message or something after passing through.

A few seconds later, the Lord also gave confirmation that it worked, and Jake proceeded to successfully help the other eight also get through the barrier. What’s more, he got a bit bold and tried to bring them all through at once, learning in the process that the entire weighing concept was the same no matter how many he brought. It was entirely an individual comparison, and Jake had been deemed stronger than all the B-grades, even the Shaman, who was likely the strongest of this group.

With all eight through, Jake gave them a smile after waiting for them to process whatever system message they had received.

“Welcome to the multiverse,” Jake said as the Shaman said something he hadn’t expected.

“Ninety-third universe... Forerunner of the New World...”

That's nice of the system, weighing Jake's strength against the natives determining whether they can leave. This helps in prevent both subjugation of the natives giving too much of an advantage and the "key to leave" from being coerced.

Thank u for the story

:OOOOO I want to read the next chapter!!!

Loststar7

Thanks for the chapter. Edit suggestions The Shaman did step up and help a little by using some of his weird shaman -making- (magic) on them, I’ll let you all know if -you- (I) start to feel anything different, and you all do the same.”

Eden

I like this method. Needing someone syeonger to bring prople out. Also means he can tell thrm that as soon as hes steonger than them or someone is they can lrave, instead of a vague system timeline

Frosgods

Good idea from requirements for leaving, also it makes sure there won't be too many strong migrants as I can't see Jake patiently transiting every volunteer

Yes, thank you for the chappy Zogarth!

I love all you guys who are the first to read! And tftc!

Soo many ?s with that last sentence lol... gotta fidget and tweak until tomorrow....

Michael Fannon

Forerunner title huh? Pretty neat that it happened this late into the integration.

Michael Fannon

A little off topic, but how long has it been since the 93rd universe was integrated? Like 15 to 20 years? Adam was my go to for measurement, but he hasn't been scene since the moon adventures. And with all the time dilation...

Tercius

Awww man realy thats such a short chap :( but progress is progress ^^

Xander

TFTC :) Suggested edits: "some of his weird shaman *making* on them," This should be "magic", right? " the highest-level Lord answered in a voice that Jake couldn’t tell whether was male or female." Firstly I don't really think that it matters that Jake can't tell the gender of the spider, does it? So you could just ditch everything after "answered". Secondly, if you keep this, it is badly worded as written but I can't make a simple suggestion for a rewrite. Maybe "We shall, " the androgenous Spider Lord replied" though, again, the gender of the spider is irrelevant. " I’ll let you all know if *you* start to feel anything different, and you all do the same.” Should be "I" "less likely the longer their group of eleven*, with Jake at the helm,* flew." this is just a small nit pick but this is unnecessary. We know Jakes at the helm it doesnt need reiterating.

Thanks Zogarth, this is brilliant.

I wonder how many levels Jake is going to get from all this.

definitelynotbrjenness

I didn't know whether the speaker received the title or he was referring to Jake's title.

definitelynotbrjenness

Will be interesting to see who scarlet can bring out. Is she still stronger than Jake? Is she the strongest in the galaxy?

definitelynotbrjenness

Will Jake feel a tug if someone else brings someone out or will that other person be the measuring cup ?

Episode 19

it seems like we got some new forces popping into the 93rd Universe tyftc

Arrogant Savant

I mean after the system fully registers that the minor world is his territory it'd be automatic but it'd be stupid to not manually monitor the place (miranda would do so regardless).

Vega

Dang it, I want more! Now I’ve got to wait for tomorrow… Thanks for the chapter!

David Vieira

Funny that there as been lots of talk about giving blessings just for him to leave without giving any

Hornbach

I would guess closer to 50. He spent more than a decade in the pantheon of life i think.

Michael

Ok now why? Will they go back or go to earth? With most strong B grades gone for the admin trials they might be the strongest figures on earth now after Jake? Will Jake go back to bring more? I feel he still have to give the big snake a blessing and make some kind of more solid deal with everyone to join the order or something!

Josie

Oh look. We have an entire minor world now motivated to help Jake level as fast as possible. Time to hunt! 😃

Robinn57

Yay! Frog friends and spider Bros. Unleash them all!

definitelynotbrjenness

Maybe zog will get overly excited about how interesting this arc has become and crank out another chapter? Who needs sleep, or exercise, or food? I do find it wild that Zog still writes without a backlog. I suppose he probably does more than a single chapter some days, but I guarantee he has a calendar or storyboard or some kind of planning tool with all the really mean cliffhangers highlighted like a normal person would highlight their birthday or a holiday or start of a vacation.

Maleko

Editing comment: "I'll let you all know if you start to feel anything different..." -> "if I start"

Lonez Zhavec

I know the feeling so well! 😩😩

Dan

Surely Jake will get a level or two minimum for introducing two new races to the multiverse? Assuming they are actually "new," of course

Noah Mclelland

I wonder about the restrictions, will it go away after a condition is met, say when the universe has an A grade, S grade, or when it fully opens up? Will it always be the case where they need someone stronger than themselves to get let out?

Kaladin

So will they report right back or hang out in the multiverse for a while? How does Jake plan on moving them between worlds as I believe his return plan was to teleport with the token as Arnold catapulted him to Venus

Seiryus

She is higher leveled, but last we saw her she wasn't confident she could beat Draskil in a fight, so Jake should be a non-starter

djthomp

So Jake or someone who entered from outside has to bring people out and they can only go if the system judges the balance of power being favorable to the outside party. Since the initial test case subjects all just became Forerunners of the New World that makes me wonder if they could bring people out now in turn. Speaking of them being Forerunners, what else came with that title back originally? Just Myriad Tongues? Now we just need some snake buddies too, maybe some other races as well if there's any sensible candidates for it.

djthomp

Even if he doesn't get any levels it's got to be some impressive records to help fuel his future growth.

McMuffin

Same exact thoughts regarding forerunner title and bringing people out themselves.

zran

it could be not odd if the system gifted them the miriad tongues skill as well just to be nicer to them

Gracie

tftc

Almer Reyhan

The hell. Is the chapter shorter than usual? 😭

zran

me assumption is just he will tell them to chose individuals to act as a diplomats and as time passes they will send people to help those who whant to explore the multiverse, since no way in hell jake gonna let hundreds of individuals out by himself tho he willl definitelly tell the leaders of both factions what the ones he took with him where able to cross over and how that functions

CocoaBleu

Am I the only one who thought of Silas??? 😂 TFTC

zran

just give him time, likely he will end giving some, if not to the frogs, the snake people he will meet later

Kyler

I was under the impression that it was him referencing Jake, something along the lines of " congratulations on making it to the 93rd universe, and as a bonus for being escorted by the forerunner of the the new world here's a bonus.."

zran

nah, if the system talked about jake it could call him progenitor rather than forerunner, everyone on 93 universe who did the tutorial got the foreruner title(no idea if monsters got it too, but i assume they do too but the flavor text likely says something diferent and likely gives diferent bonuses to them), but only jake has the progenitor title

definitelynotbrjenness

Lillian is going to be left to deal with a bunch of creepy crawlers from venus.

Cyranosaurus

I need more chapters😅 Great story thank you!!!!

zran

i will asume the system will use the individual one strenght bringing the ones of the minor world to decide if they are allowed to get out or not

KevB

Lol. I knew the system was going to announce who the galaxy's owner is. TFTC!

Lynderyn

I didn’t see that coming

zran

likely jake will return to give them the good news, tell them to bring individuals to act like diplomats and then once he let them out... send them to the order to give them a crash course about the multiverse, since they are very ignorant about many matters about the multiverse, and they definitelly need the knowledge

zran

and tomorrow it will definitelly hang us on the cliff

William WIlson

Myriad tongues is a human race skill not one simply granted.

Colin

Welcome to the new universe! Would you like some Jake juice?

BumAssBumAss

Interesting, that makes these people denizens of the 93rd universe. They could participate in events with Jake as well.

beeve

Yeah had to look it up.. does that mean they also get endless tongues of the myriad races now?

beeve

Maybe leaving the boundary was their tutorial

Jason Hardman

Pretty sure that Myriad Tongues was granted as something of a gift to everyone newly inducted into the system. It's just listed as a racial skill. I don't recall the situation for multiverse system natives, and how they typically communicate.

djthomp

I think you are confusing it being a racial skill on Jake's character sheet with it being a racial skill only humans get. Maybe we'll find out differently tomorrow but my memory has it being a skill that everyone who survived the integration received.

Jason Hardman

Guessing that would depend on how compatible with their path it was. Guessing Jake is more likely to get levels from introducing the Malefic Viper to the scalefolk, and potentially all the toxins he's taking in with his pallete, as that aligns with his profession. It might give him some bonuses as an Administrator, and will probably have influence on what classes/professions he's offered. Although, there's so much more he'll end up doing before then, that I think this is likely to be swamped out with other deeds he'll do more often.

ABTelford

Forerunner of the New World…holy cow I have a feeling this is a hint at something huge! Like the whole multiverse is gonna change soon or something! 😀. Or I’m reading too much into it 😉. And now, will they proceed out to explore? Or will they turn right back around and tell their factions? Or both - split up? 🤔

McMuffin

Cliff/twist, now that Jake brought them out and they became denizens, they are not able to get back through the boundary

Jason Hardman

Interesting that it's judged on relative power. It might be a shock to the natives how powerful Jake is judged to be at his relatively new B grade level, compared to their native elites. There's some issues that Jake may or may not consider, or even care about. First, they can use the comparison to fine tune a true understanding of Jake's power level, although I doubt that is a big issue. The main problem is that the judgement is against Jake’s power level, which is freakishly strong compared to the rest of the universe. Anyone he brings out could go on a rampage with nobody strong enough to stop them, other than Jake. That being said, there's likely other limits and factors to consider, and anyone from the minor world would have to be a moron to try something like that.

Christophe H.

To short! I want the story. And thanks for the chapter!

Ra

Well, it's not like the Venusians and Arachnecs know about the power requirement. It's purely based on Jake's intuition, and he sure isn't going to reveal that.

Terence Myers

Actually I dont think it says. At least they didnt tell Jake that it says yet.

zran

@william_wilson miriad tongues skill is a skill obtained from the title forerunner of the new world, everyone on the 93 universe got this title when the integration happened

Lemonsqueezy

I do not believe they have the ability to get back through the toxic barrier before they died without Jake's assistance. They couldn't get far enough before so I would expect the same after.

Frosgods

Scarlett is definitely higher lvl them Jake but it's not what system compares, as for galaxy there will be lots of A grades and maybe S grades locked all over the place

Lemonsqueezy

I just checked the word count between today's and yesterday's chapter, and this one is actually a little bit longer (by about 100 words, 500 characters).

Ra

Pretty sure the progenitor title was only used in terms of his bloodline, and not anything else.

Lemonsqueezy

They might be able to get through the actual barrier, but I do not think they would be able to make it back and forth through the toxic layer without Jake at the helm. At least not yet. There is still the issue of power as well. Do they also follow the rule that the System has to deem them more powerful than those they bring through? If this is the case then the power of each subsequent person will be lower and lower, unless they have one person that just ferries people back and forth. Either way, it seems that this is the system's way of have Jake decide who can and cannot leave the minor world as well as keeping the strength of those that do leave weaker than what the 93rd can handle.

Terence Myers

They are so very ignorant and are B grades below level 400, that is a very bad thing, so I think a crash course of the multiverse is a good idea. Whether that is on Primodial-4 or on Earth or even someone goes to Venus to do this. It is needed either way.

Lemonsqueezy

That is if they can even manage to get back through the toxic layer without Jake there to protect them. They couldn't manage to get far enough to reach it until Jake arrived. We also do not know if they will be able to pass the barrier without Jake there to literally hold their hands.

Lemonsqueezy

Bringing them out doesn't seem like something Jake would get experience for. Bringing them into the Order definitely would. Jake doesn't have a skill/class like Miranda that gives experience related to political achievements. I could see Jake pawning them off on Miranda to deal with though.

Lemonsqueezy

The system seems to have a restriction on who can enter the 93rd based on the most powerful native of the 93rd (in this case being Jake). I think this is a way to keep the 93rd from being destroyed or taken over. IMO the system wants to build the populace under it's rule, and having an entire universe of people killed or enslaved wouldn't be beneficial to it.

MarineDebris

He got Progenitor of the 93rd Universe title for actually beating the King and therefore beating his tutorial.

Terence Myers

Was him attacking and killing the dragon after the PoL? The dragon was what pushed him into B grade wasn't it. Because he spent at least 5 years working on the dragonsbane and then the gate. Im not sure, but I would think its closer to 30-40 years with the system, depending on how all the years add up, since im not sure how long he actually stayed in PoL.

Terence Myers

His Progenitor title is because he was the only surviving person from his tutorial and he beat the Tutorial Boss

MarineDebris

Would be cool if Jake could infuse Palate into an alchemical solution that could then be coated onto Arnold's drones, making them able to pass through the boundary.

Lemonsqueezy

This seems like a reasonable thing. Only problem is having those he just brought through the barrier roaming free in the 93rd without him. Especially with so many of the other strong people also gone for the SoTEP event. Not that I think they would or could really cause trouble with only 10 of them vs the billions that live on Earth now, especially since Earth isn't exactly weak even without their powerhouses. Then factor in that if they start trouble Jake could just completely destroy Venus and the portal from the outside. I think Jake's best option is to take them to Earth first. Introduce the Arachnecs to the Risen and their territory, and then bring them all to the order which I assume he can do now that they are outside the boundary. From there the Arachnecs can be shipped off to the Blightfather, and the Venusians can go to the Pantheon if they do not want to be part of the Order. Jake will probably return to get some of the Snakekin if not for any other reason. I do not really see a reason for Jake to just keep bringing out anyone from the other factions. He will probably have the Shaman and one of the Arachnecs come back with him to prove he was able to get them through the barrier. I am sure this will then cause issues with the A-Grades wanting to go through and Jake having to tell them that they cannot because they are a higher grade and therefor more powerful than he is and the system just would not allow it. At least not at this time.

Lemonsqueezy

I think he is just waiting until he was sure he could bring them outside the boundary. I am going to assume that the Shaman, Archweaver, and one of the Snakekin will each get a blessing from Jake. However, I think getting a blessing from Jake kind of locks them into being part of the Order. Of course they could always denounce their blessing, but that seems to have a negative consequence or a backlash. My guess is that there will probably be a discussion with them about what a blessing means and if they want one from him or would they rather wait and possibly get one from the Blightfather and Yggdrasil (or one of the minor gods) respectively.

Lemonsqueezy

As we have come to expect at this point. The only time Zog doesn't leave us on cliffhangers (at least not severe ones) is when he is about to go on a long vacation.

Lemonsqueezy

I do not expect any levels from this unless he gets them to become part of the order. Unlike Miranda, Jake doesn't really get any experience from political achievements. He only gets it when he does something that is beneficial to the Order, and right now bringing them outside the boundary isn't really beneficial to it. He might get some if they agree to be under the rule of Jake since he owns/rules the planet that they are located in. Which is probably something Miranda will handle anyway.

Lemonsqueezy

I checked the word and character count. This chapter is actually longer than yesterdays.

Tercius

Dafuk I needet like 1/3 less time to read I think my english is getting better xD

Wonder if it also gives them Myriad Tongues.

Lemonsqueezy

According to the wiki (which hasn't been updated to this chapter because they keep it at the level you can read for free on Royal Road) it has been about 25 years. That brings you up to the point were Jake got his Lesser Primeval Energy ability. I think it has only been a year or so since that so we are definitely at less than 30 years since the integration. As for Jake himself, it has been about 125 years.

Lemonsqueezy

That is what the Shaman got because he is the one that said it at the very end not Jake. So the Shaman, and probably the others that came through, got the Forerunner title. Also the forerunner title according to the wiki is: [Forerunner of the New World] – Complete the introduction and enter the tutorial as a forerunner of the New World. +3 all stats. Grants the skill: [Endless Tongues of the Myriad Races (Unique)]. Which means that escaping the boundary is kind of like their tutorial.

I also think the gold dragon princess will hate miranda at first. might be fun to see an overconfident dragon get some mud on her face when she tries attacking a prepared miranda and team. probably need to have someone like ss or jake show up to end the fight before someone gets killed.

Lemonsqueezy

I think it just means that these 10 individuals got the Forerunner title because they were the first to escape the boundary. According to the wiki: [Forerunner of the New World] – Complete the introduction and enter the tutorial as a forerunner of the New World. +3 all stats. Grants the skill: [Endless Tongues of the Myriad Races (Unique)].

Lemonsqueezy

I have always been under the impression that Jake is the strongest person in the 93rd Universe. Not only from his personal power, but also from his allies and connections.

Lemonsqueezy

It also means that even if those that he brought out can now bring out others they will never be stronger than Jake unless they manage to level up significantly faster than he can. Even if that does happen, Jake can easily destroy Venus and the portal to the minor would to prevent them from bringing anyone out that could threaten Earth or the 93rd universe.

Lemonsqueezy

I think he probably has a couple chapters for us stored so he can stay ahead and keep his pace. I think he probably writes the upcoming week's chapters on the weekend, then spends the week thinking of where he wants the story to go, maybe with inspiration from our comments.

Lemonsqueezy

We still do not even know if they (meaning the denizens of Venus) can bring people out without Jake or someone else from the 93rd. That rule may still be in place as a way for the system to allow Jake to rule his empire without issue.

Lemonsqueezy

With the Shaman (and I am assuming the other people that were brought out) getting the Forerunner title, that that means that this minor world was considered a tutorial for them, or that they are now entering a tutorial of sorts. According to the wiki the title is: [Forerunner of the New World] – Complete the introduction and enter the tutorial as a forerunner of the New World. +3 all stats. Grants the skill: [Endless Tongues of the Myriad Races (Unique)].

Christopher

I'm suspect that it was due to this chapter being more exciting

djthomp

It makes sense as a few stats to hand tutorial participants to get them started, but at this point that +3 is almost cute.

Lemonsqueezy

oh yeah. They are B-Grades, it is laughable if that is all they got. Getting Myriad of Tongues is extremely beneficial though.

Lemonsqueezy

Who's that Pokemon! It's Draskil.

Lemonsqueezy

He might. It isn't like they can do anything about it. It could also show them that Jake is probably someone that they shouldn't fuck with.

Lemonsqueezy

That would be interesting. I mean even if they could get back through I doubt they would be able to get all the way back through the toxic layer on their own or without Jake's help.

Lemonsqueezy

If you look at what the title historically is then they would get it. [Forerunner of the New World] – Complete the introduction and enter the tutorial as a forerunner of the New World. +3 all stats. Grants the skill: [Endless Tongues of the Myriad Races (Unique)].

Lemonsqueezy

The last sentence is something the Shaman said not Jake. So the Shaman got the forerunner title.

Josie

None of the people brought through are stronger than Jake though and due to how OP Jake is, he'll remain the strongest. But yeah the frogs can bring more weak frogs and the spiders can bring more weak spiders. I doubt the Archweaver and above are as interested in the plebs breaking out tho. Therefore, all the powerful beings are motivated to help Jake get stronger ASAP

definitelynotbrjenness

irin is knocking on some poor souls door at the order. "the chosen has a mission for you." "what is it" "Uber driver."

Lemonsqueezy

That is an interesting thought. Just have the arachnecs throwing drones at Jake to level him up. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work well because Jake gets diminishing returns when he fights the same type of creature. He also gets almost nothing for fighting enemies weaker than he is.

John Durrett

tyftc. Correction - I’ll let you all know if you start to feel anything different, and you all do the same.” I’ll let you all know if "I" start to feel anything different, and you all do the same.”

Josie

He can solo level 400+ and his hunt doesn't have to be limited to this one nest or even the arachnecs. He just has to say "I need challenge and variety" and this world will deliver it on a silver platter

John Durrett

They all know that there are gods capable of destroying their planet with a sneeze. They will all be looking to make connections with like minded factions, not parade around in arrogance.

John Durrett

Zog cut off the end - it could be New World Wonder. Making this planet a huge attraction across the multiverse

Frosgods

He has one of highest potentials if not the highest but there are threats out there who can squash him at the moment

Corey S

Two world wonders in one place seems unlikely

JW Saxby

This is so exciting 👍🏼😁👍🏼 I want more chapters!!!! 😩 Tyftc 🍻

definitelynotbrjenness

might get levels from throwing out blessings. he can always jake juice a dragon to improve the quality of records he's received in b grade. might get a trickle of records from those he blessed for villy.

Frosgods

We don't know if it works like that I would say it's 50/50 if original inhabitants can take other with them, they could have tested it by having one of them try

Seen Death

The great thing about this multiverse, is that basically anything is possible with the correct setting I dont think that exact scenerio is very possible, however i could easilly see Arnold being able to make a toxin generator... which turns toxins into energy which is used to power a shield or something Im not entirely sure how useful arnold would be on this world, with such powerful toxins and creatures... there would also be a lot of space taken up by the poison sea Maybe to collect some resources? But the locals also would probably value those resources aswell Plus, this world being a perfect place for jake to adavnce, id like him to monopolize it as much as possible haha This is jakes multiverse afterall, arnold is cool but he already has the moon to himself

MarineDebris

I agree. The drones would just be to act as scouts, so Jake can find all the good hunting and/or treasures spots.

SqrlyGrly

I think the golden dragon princess wants Jake to help her build enough of a resistance to suppression to spend time with her dad and that he was on board with that. She won't want to pick a needless fight when she can get a better result working with Miranda and earth than against them

Deborah

So you think Jake would be smart enough to say that Villy's and the system are intentionally keeping the level low to let him grow naturally. That way he could take S-grade order keepers for gate security.

definitelynotbrjenness

at some point zog will reveal that all 115 universes of this system are just part of a larger multiverse's world wonder.

Queso blanco

Or if he could possibly coat some with a temporary scale barrier

Jeryd Greer

Zog is Sean Oswald aware. Maybe even a reader.

Jacob Hopkins

Well ...the secret's out. Now they know Jake is top dog in his universe, for better or worse.

UNKNOWN

That'd be funny.

definitelynotbrjenness

scarlet was stronger then jake when they met. c vs d. she's gotten a blessing and hung around more powerful people, so I wouldn't call some one a fool for claiming she is still stronger. for being strongest in the galaxy, it's jake, her, or maybe someother beast with a blessing from a powerful order. I suppose a talented beast chosen of a less important beast god might have been given enough opportunities to be strongest. butttt....that's ignoring whatever really scary stuff there is at the center of the galaxy.

definitelynotbrjenness

that would be kinda funny if jake got power leveled right before the event. I was thinking he might get a couple levels from dishing out a bunch of blessings, but the safari idea is even better.

definitelynotbrjenness

the frozen warrior part after they passed the barrier has my zoggy senses tingling. did the warrior feel how strong they are in comparison to jake? maybe, but i think this warrior already saw him in action. did the warrior receive more info than what they let jake know? maybe something like, "you have entered the milky way galaxy, territory owned by jake the chosen of the malefic viper, second in command of a primordial faction"

definitelynotbrjenness

I don't know if he does a whole week during the weekend. his chaps are beefier than mine and I can knock one out in three hours after work, but that is because I thought about it all day. on weekends my chaps sometimes get slightly beefier, but they take me all freaking day. at least it is a very inexpensive hobby.

Dylan Hilliard

What does the Forerunner title mean? And what information does it typically give.

ABTelford

I think he froze just from the notification that he had passed beyond the Boundry. That would have been shock enough. I highly doubt the System would include lots of details - it doesn’t do that.

definitelynotbrjenness

I was thinking along the lines of jake being the system's favorite shiny new toy and setting the mood to ensure good behavior, but you're probably right.

James Hibbs-Kinsler

A world wonder is something that usually comes with a new era integration. Nevermore is an example and the new Seat of the Exaulted Prima.

James Hibbs-Kinsler

Its just something to bring new records and can be beneficial to the multiverse as a whole
