Hey would ya look at that! It’s Spider-Man!

Oh no wait… it’s just Peter Parker

This fig is a fun one for the collector in me! It’s a fun costume that had like ten seconds of screen time in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie and Jin captured the look perfectly!

The high water pants, the low-collar band tee, the backpack, it’s all good… well expect for how dark red that mask is, but we’ll talk about it!

For being a Jin Lite fig, I’m again impressed with the balance of simplicity to detail here. There's nice design work for the chucks that go way harder than they need too and I love ‘em!

It’s hard to explain without sounding mad, but like… a lot of detail in the print can be too much for a fig, but high-detail concentrated to specific parts of the fig feels intentional and respectable as a design choice.

Like this fig honestly didn’t need much, but what’s there is really slick! However the Spidey mask feels... a little too much

This is gonna sound bananas because it contradicts what I literally just said, but it’s too detailed! Almost like it belongs to a different fig! While those silvery dots are SO cool from a printing and technical appreciation, it misses the mark for me in terms of the full picture.

It kinda works if you don’t own any other Spider-heads, but when you swap it out for the Official Amazing Spider-Man head print, or even Jaka’s you can really see what I mean…

Despite the mask not meeting my weird standards, I (shockingly) like the Peter Parker face!

Something about the separation of the eyebrows from the eyes does something for the scale of this face. The eyes do still feel a little large and far apart, though it’s significantly better than the other Peter Parker we looked at earlier in the week!

The mouth is also at a good height and frames the minifig head much better too! It does look a bit goofy without hair though...

As for custom parts, this backback is (weirdly) not the same as the last Peter Parker we looked at, but instead, almost identical.

This pack has the skateboard straps just fully molded into the piece (unlike the magnetic one). In fact there’s no magnets to speak of. It’s weird because Jin could have ultimately just repeated the production of element and not inserted the magnet to cut down on costs, but instead this one is just a slightly different mold and color for some reason 🤷🏻‍♂️

The blue graduation cap is an almost identical replica of the official Lego graduation cap, molded (or maybe it’s just spray painted?) here in standard Lego blue. Regardless of whether it’s plastic or ink, that color matching is really impressive!

This fig retailed for about $75ish when I snagged it from BabyBrick’s site back in December 2022, and ya know that’s honestly the perfect price for this fig! Not too complex, but high enough quality to justify it!

It’s good stuff from Jin! It’s just a shame I took so long to review it!
