Jin's Amazing Garfield Graduation Gwen! (Patreon)

Okay I’m shaking things up for this one! (I zigged with another Gwen, when you thought I would zag with another Peter!) Honestly it was just the next fig in the stack so here here we are 🤷🏻‍♂️

Gwen’s graduation outfit here looks great! That pop of yellow really does it for me! Even as simple of a design as this fig turned out to be, it's pretty spot on to the source material!

Jin even managed to capture the dog print on her red dress under the blue gown! It’s a nice attention to detail that leaves me appreciating Jin’s eye for design! Even when you consider this minifig is a member of their “Lite” brand of customs!

Outside of the simple print, the second expression here looks surprising the best out of all the Gwen faces we’ve looked at so far… however

When I was staring this fig down under a microscope, the longer I looked at these two Gwen figs, the more I disliked the color choice Jin went with for the eye shadow.

It clicked with me on the winking expression that the shade gives off more of a bags-around-the-eye look, instead of a  done-up-makeup look. She looks like she needs a good 8hr power nap to take on the world

As for custom parts, it’s the same hair as the other hair. This is a “Lite” fig after all.

It’s a shame that my fig didn’t come with the eluded magnetic graduation cap and hair though…. 

Jin shared on their feed that this fig would have had magnets in both head pieces. If memory serves, it was a last minute addition. I recall them saying the extra parts would be shipped out complementary to those that preordered both Gwen and Peter’s graduation figs, but uh… I was never contacted by my reseller…

I never technically got it... maybe I was just unlucky? They just didn't sent it to me and that’s the end of that I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh and while we’re in the topic, this wasn’t even the last Jin Gwen that was produced! I actually missed out on this one... 

It's got a cool custom skirt and the hair is totally different.

And ya know I’m sure I’ll pick it up one of these days, but for now let’s pretend I didn’t miss it and I'm not even heartbroken over her 🙃

At the end of the day, this was another $55, and yeah, I think I like this one is better than yesterday's Gwen. But again, a headswap would really get the job done to improve this fig by a country mile!
