Of course yall know I couldn’t skip Excelsior Custom’s OTHER Flash villain they released!

The ever hot, oh so spicy, Heatwave! 🔥

Again another really strong design here from EC, only this time it’s a straight up rip from The Lego DC Super Villains Video Game (that still holds the gold medal for one of the worst titles for a Lego console game)

Anyway here’s a photo of that render so you can see what I mean...

Excelsior actually printed some color variant chaser-figs in what possibly could have been an attempt to color match the game a little bit better, but ya'll know how I’m feeling lately about chase variants and how much of a cash grab they are 😑

Regardless, here are some product shots from Tracy's website as well…

And hey ya know what! While I only got one fig myself, I’m very happy to have gotten this fella at all in just the classic white/orange! For one thing I don’t think anyone ever has printed a fig of Mick Rory, let alone this cleanly and well adapted!

This fig easily could have been just black and orange ink for a majority of it, but EC went and included the grey wrinkle work and the shiny bright orange on the belt and even went the extra mile for the arm and leg print. Even the back of the head, which commonly is left blank when the character doesn't absolutely need it.

Guys this fig only cost me $45! That’s chump change for the quality, color consistency, accurate design replication, and a character that’s not common among the custom community.

Sure, it could only be better if there wasn’t a preorder 🤷🏻‍♂️ [let the record show that I preordered it in February and it arrived to me by mid March so even that isn’t completely terrible]

No custom parts, but it didn’t really need any! We all have a spare official Lego Ray Gun lying around somewhere! No fancy shipping containers either! Just a simple clamshell!

Excelsior Customs makes me remember the good’ole Flickr days with this fig... folks just printing characters that they liked from video games. It's good fun stuff for me!

I’ll be keeping an eye on this brand and will definitely snatch up whatever they release next! ;)
