MuddyRiverMinifigs are back with another killer adoption (or well… a ripped copy) of a Lego Marvel Superheroes Video Game character-model! And boy did Beau just knock this fig out of the park!

That custom hair really brings everything together but the print work is some of their best yet!

After we looked at MRM’s Spot a few months back, and the moderate quality of Jean and Havok, naturally I was a bit worried that thir quality had dipped since their return to the limelight. But I’m happily reassured that they’re still alive and kickin!

Again that hairpiece is so good! It’s a virtual 1:1 representation of Mystique’s look from the game, and impressively clean handiwork coming from a guy in his garage!

The print quality of the linework impresses me the most. Very clean points in the jawlines and eyelashes, the teeth and eyes on the skull belt are all sharp, the yellows and reds are bright and decently crisp! This is easily my favorite MRM fig I think we’ve taken a look at up til now!

I am a bit disappointed there’s no printing on the back of the legs (even if this print is technically accurate to the source material) However to me personally, it’s kind of a bummer if I ever wanted to shoot anything with her past the 90° mark.

Of course I had to pull out L1N6’s Mystique to compare it to, and ya know what, in a lot of ways it’s a tough call for which one I like better...

L1N6 had some great original design concepts with their fig, but the nostalgia overtakes me in favor of MRM’s. Something about the Lego-simplicity of the design (no doubt because it’s an official Lego-designed product in a roundabout way)

It calls to me me more as “the better fig” but they both have charm in their own ways.

I absolutely love the sleeves on L1N6’s fig, and the fact it has 360° print. However I hate to think of moving those arms any more than I have to, given how the white ink of the torso is already rubbing away…

I liked their idea of the iridescent eye color too!

idk, what do you guys think? Is there one that stands out more to you? Let me know!

While there’s not much to ramble about, I’d like to point out that MRM’s fig was only $60 with zero preorder time! Taking all that into consideration when looking at this fig and you’d be crazy not to tell me this is worth it!

I’m surprisingly impressed this time around! Way to go, Beau!
