ZKJ Bricks Red & Orange Lantern Hal Jordan's (Patreon)

There have been so many great Lantern figs coming out recently that I had to pick up these two from ZKJ! They’re both a pretty literal translation of the officially designed minifig with a color swap (or to take it in another perspective, design rips from the LB3 Video Game)!

Now I like these  figs buuuut they’re not perfect! For one thing, Red Hal has the #IncompleteLegs dilemma that’s been driving my bananas this year

But outside of that annoying flaw, overall these both have some decent production quality. The rest of the fig doesn't bother me so much beyond that, but it doesn't “wow” me either. This Red Lantenr fig only has a simple double sided torso, single sided head, aaaand thats it. Just a shame it wasn’t cheaper.

$50 feels a bit steep (even with the custom parts like that lovely lantern), but there was no preorder so I’ll take what I can get! :)

Orange Lantern Hal was also in that price range, but included dual-molded legs (thank goodness) but seems to be lacking in the orange hand department… (two steps forward one step back I suppose) But hey! At least I have plenty of spare orange hands lying around!

Both of these guys also include custom gauntlets, lanterns, and pad printed “rings” so perhaps I’m being a bit harsh to say the $100 for the two of these is pricey…? 🤔

Again, the quality is there where it needs it! Those new colors for GL Lantern pieces are a collectors dream since we were teased by Lego with just the two colors of that piece all the way back in 2019! So getting more colors is great!

The gauntlets they come with are decent too! A bit like MrJ’s Peacemaker, or more recently relevant, ZKJ’s Kyle Rayner, only a little less glossy this time around. However I’d be remiss not to point out the different shade of orange those gauntlets are compared to everything else on Orange Hal…

Oh! And while we’re at it (not that this matters at all) but it’s funny how one Hal came with Dark Brown hair and the other with Reddish Brown hair.

But hey! These two are nice little additions to the collection :)
