BlackStar's BTAS Commissioner Gordon (Patreon)

It’s about freakin time somebody printed a Commissioner Gordon! And no preorder?! I must be dreaming!

While this is a pretty simple fig in most aspects of this hobby, that is exactly what I’m looking for when it comes to BTAS characters! Ironically though, the packaging is anything but simple (if you want more images, check out my last BlackStar review... it's basically the same)

The little details like the squared and frailing neck tie is nice! The cell shading around the shirt is great! But the overall big picture of color blocking matches pretty perfectly with the show! And what ties it all together is that fun custom hair! Not only that but we get two of ‘em! How lucky are we?!

Both versions of the head & hair are just perfect! The print color-matching to the custom parts is really impressive (particularly in the younger redhead) But BlackStar also included some subtle extra wrinkles to the older white-mustached version that just… mmmm! So good! 🤌🏻

My only gripe (if I can even call it that) is that we got 360° for the legs, but not for the arms. I’d go so far as to argue we probably didn’t even need those tan shirt sleeves printed on the arms at all. But it’s there and I noticed it and it will bug me forever :)

This fella also came with stickers, similarly to how Jaka's been doing so for a few years now. They're almost perfectly 1:1 minifig scale so maybe I'll be able to get some use of of them in some way too :P

I mean there’s not much else to say, but I suppose that’s good! It’s honestly perfect! $65 was also a reasonable price for this fella! And again, it was a direct to consumer purchase! (no preorder)

Frankly it’s just great in almost every way! It even looks really good with BatBricks/Jaka's Batman and FunnyBricks Joker!
