Well now that I finally got to share with you guys all those super sweet shots, here’s a peek behind the curtain! :)

This build was simple in its construction, but very thought out. I didn’t want the room to be too small or too large, I wanted the venting ports to be large and open, but not too wide set from each other, I wanted it to have a ceiling to add to the claustrophobia, and I wanted the snow to be coming in through the venting ports at their base… All in all, I think I came out on top with this one :)

I wanted to be able to shoot everything that I could from the shield-blast scene (From the Iconic Steve McNiven cover recreation) to the Bucky/Cap v Tony punch-off (that everybody seems to re-create), so being able to remove the roof was very useful to get all the right shots.

I lit the photo mostly from the outside by reflecting light off of paper set just beyond those venting ports to match the lighting of the film scenes the best that I could. Accompanied by that, I also left a piece of paper suspended over the my lens to prevent any light-glare with some of the wider shots :)
