Minimates! (Patreon)

Okay guys, so here’s something a little… different :P

Some of you may have heard about these, or you’re familiar with them if you’ve been around the toy photography community as long as I have.

If not, we’ll hey check it out! These are Minimates made by Diamond Select Toys! They are small 2’’ 1:28 scale miniature figures! They're super poseable and intricately designed to look like direct translations of actual art work from comic books.

Diamond Select mostly makes Marvel Minimates, but about ten years ago they had made a few waves of DC figures as well!

So long story short, I found a few of my old ones when I was cleaning a few months back and was struck with the inspiration to shoot something new with them! :)

Getting back on that horse led me to a few new corners of the toy photographers world! In the end I bought a boat load of new Minimates to see what photo ideas would strike. ...I like living dangerously. Go big or go home, that’s what I always say :P

So this was the result of those excursions! I did something out of my wheelhouse and used some traditional action figure methods to take these shots!
