Version 2 is better than the non-existent version 1 (Patreon)

Alright, so we all know that LifeBrick has always been up there in terms of detail on their figs for some time now, but it’s gotta be said that this fig really has stepped it up a notch!
If it’s not the refined design translation that will convince you, then the clean linework and the stunning application of the prints will!
This fig has 360 degree arm printing, a full 360 print of the torso and legs (my particular copy didn't have the best print app on his left leg though), but something that really takes the cake for me was underside prints!
With detail already up the wazoo, this fig even has printing on the under sides of the hips and torso! That was certainly a first and took me by surprise when I first noticed :P
Additionally, the silver reflective print to highlight buckles and the emblem is just beautiful! Sharp and crisp and looks fantastic in darker light as well!
If I had any complaints, it would be the back of torso design. It feels a bit simple, where there could have been some fabric wrinkles or something like how it does around the boots. Also I’m not the biggest fan of the head print. That weird double pupil on the battle-damaged side is a design choice that really kills it for me. The rest of the head is fine, but that weird eye just bugs me.
Oh and one last thing to talk about is the neat color LifeBrick went with. It’s not quite medium blue or regular blue, but something in between depending on the lighting your looking at. It certainly leans more towards that Medium Blue shade, but there were times as I was taking these review photos that I wasn’t as convinced.
Regardless, it’s still a really neat color and it stands out from the Lego palette juuuust enough not to bug your average color-completionist, but juuuust enough to stand out in most builds/MOCs.
Okay but I gotta keep things rolling! Come back tomorrow to read all about the custom elements! :)
