Well let’s talk about custom parts!

LifeBrick’s new Captain America headpiece isn’t the cleanest element on the inside, but on the outside, it’s a beauty!

The helmet feels a bit thin compared to Lego’s quality standard. Like if I really tried, I could probably squash it between a sorting system drawer if I wasn’t careful, but that thinness certainly brings the design of the figure together much better than most custom fig designers let on. Less bulky, (generally) tends to look better in my experience.

But when we go comparing it to Phoenix’s, DonutMinifigs’, and Lego’s own Cap helmets, it has a nice balance of molded detail and printed detail. A nice happy medium between Donut and PCB’s (not to mention that the indented/embossed wings on the helmet are really nice! It's a shame you can’t always see that in some photos, but you’d also have to really be looking for it too)

Now (I think) I talked about this a bit in my PCB Endgame Cap review about how that helmet was super tight to the head, well it straight up doesn't fit on LifeBrick’s (and likewise, the new LB helmet is very very loose on PCB’s head). So if you had any plans to fig barf a little, you might be out of luck there because this helmet is a bit loose on most heads, including the one that came with the fig.

But enough about that, let’s talk about literally THE BEST custom Captain America shield ever made, like oh my gosh, holy smokes!

What really blew me away was the double-sided indenting/embossing in tandem with reflective printing for the entire thing!

The embossed detailing really lends to some neat shots, getting each of the rings to reflect light in different ways in combination with that cherry red reflective print (guh! It’s just so so nice!)

The print choice and the indentation really gives the piece a metal-like feeling despite it still being made of plastic. Like if I didn’t get this in hand and was only looking at photos, I would have assumed it was made with diecast metal because… wow!

Now… all I’ve got left to talk about is the fun stuff! Come back tomorrow for some dramatic thematic photos! :)
