I believe this might be my first proper photoshoot with my new LED ring light and giant 2x3 paper! Gotta keep things fresh and new and interesting and exciting with new lights (wow nobody cares, talk about something else)

The final images you guys saw a few days ago were clearly impossible to do without composite imaging. So in order to really push the perspective of this standard minifig to giant proportions, every photo taken of the skyline and team had to also be paired with a secondary photo of Galactus in a similar pose/angle

At the time I wasn’t sure whether or not I wanted my background to be more blue or more pink, so I took shots of both. Let me tell you there was a lot of stock photos taken just so I could make up my mind… (but I think really I just wanted to use that new paper) :P

Along with this, I also decided mid-shoot to toss in Silver Surfer too. He was shot solely on his own to make the compositing edit of him being teeny tiny a little easier as well. Heck, even the bonus shot had some subtle composites to get the tighter focus of the buildings around Johnny and The Surfer (but you probably knew that if you saw the edit video yesterday)

And while we’re talking about composition, here’s the very very very rough sketch I made in the dead of night after my cat had jumped on me. I got up for some water and the image emerged in my foggy cranky brain.
