Building Buildings (Patreon)

I figured to myself that with a big figure and a skyline being the focus of the image, I should probably step it up a notch! See, I could have used my stock-standard skyline buildings that I use in a majority of my cityscape shots, but I really wanted to pull this image together and push myself.

Basically how I justified it in my mind, a shot of a big minifig out-scaling simple plate-built buildings may come across as too… simple. So in order to jazz it up a little, I built not only the Chrysler Building, but The Baxter Building and a relatively simple SNOT assembled grill-plate building as well (that I forgot to take WIP photos of and was sadly out of frame in the final shot anyway… whoops)

The Chrysler was inspired by a build by Tobias Brzitwa from Flickr, and The Baxter was inspired by a micro-scale “digital build” from the 2013 Lego Marvel Video game that I can’t find any screen-caps of so here’s the in-game rendered model instead :)

But yeah…  that’s about it for this week’s FF stuff! Kinda shorter than normal but hey ya can’t quite gauge these things until you have all the files finally sitting on your computer soooo... come back another time probably for something else maybe idk I’ll figure it out when I get there!

Okay goodbye!
