So... I wanna try somthing that I haven't tried for a little while now...
- Sure! Share those WIPs in real time! 7
- No Thanks! I wanna be surprised with the final product! 0
So like two or three years ago I tried this concept of posting WIPs as they actually happened, rather than sharing the entire completed project all at once. It was an idea stemmed loosely around a Darwyn Cooke page from The New Frontier (you can see the updates as thy went along until it puttered to a sad end with the tag " New Frontier Las Vegas " if you really want). It was updated over the course of several months and eventually amounted to a dead end of a project (these things happen a lot, I just don't tell you guys because who would care about that?) :P
Anyway... point being, I think I'd like to try and do that style of posting again with a 1989 Burton Batmobile I've been working on. I'm adapting a design by a fellow flickr user and I have been running into walls (mainly parts I don't have/need to order). BUT, I have some confidence that that this might actually lead to something cool in the end.
I don't quite know how far it could go... but I think it could be kinda neat to see an image of the WIP Build once every few weeks to see how it's getting along... Most all of my projects (other that filler IG minifig posts) take months of prep time so it's not like this would be a quick process either.
Also doing something like this might not have the same "wow factor" that a fully completed project might bring, which I strive to provide for you guys. It'd be some simple single photo posts from my phone or whatever that wouldn't be that frequent and maybe a little messy. But ya know... more content is more content :P
What do you guys think? Should I do it?
