This hammer is stunning!

Easily my favorite custom Mjolnir to be released by a customizer and makes the official Lego element look like a cheap outdated hardware store mallet! What’s even crazier about this piece is that, to my surprise when I received it, it’s made from metal!

What a cool idea! Makes it feel not only professionally made, but sturdy and strong, like the hammer of Thor Odinson should! It’s got a real weight to it that you feel when you hold it in your hand and that’s honestly such a neat concept! Not to mention, while messing around with it, I discovered the handle is removable from the head!

But man, what a cool piece!

Okay focus, there’s more to talk about! The arms were a nice bonus accessory to provide! A silver coated white arm with nice linework for the chainmail that turned out lovely (although I’m a bit nervous to swap them out to prevent the torso from cracking so soon into owning the fig)

The hair and cape are also some of the cleanest custom elements I’ve gotten in a while. Other than the tiniest injection pip on the inside of the hair, there’s virtually no signs of production mess on either of these! Particularly when we compare them to something like the recent LifeBrick Captain America helmet with the raw 3D-Printed plastic still exposed on the inside.

Honestly, other than the matte finish on the plastic, these could easily both pass as official ABS Lego elements in terms of quality. Like wow! GoldBrick knows their stuff when making custom elements and I’ll be sure to keep an eye on their future figs.

My only complaints with the hair/cape is the limited poseabiltiy when both elements are in place. There’s virtually no backward movement for either the legs or arms, and nothing with the rotation of the head. Even if you just wanted him to sit, you’ve gotta have enough clearance for the cape.

The second and only other digression is that to solve the possibility problem, you can switch out the cape. But then you get another weird thing going on with the hair, making it look all “floaty”. But hey, that’s to be expected with that thicker specialized cape mold. So it’s a shame, but it also was meant to be worn on the fig as a pair so… not really a warranted complaint in my defense in the long run.

It does look pretty cool on this fig-barf’d superman figure I made though! ;)

Wow! I wish I knew how these guys were making some of this stuff. It would be cool to see the process.

Wow (I dare not break the pattern), stunning is right!
