This has been a project over six months in the making and I couldn’t be happier to be done with it! (yeesh!)

I started production on this cover as far back as October if memory serves and I feel like I’ve been working on it for an eternity! I actually had to write a super-list for this one to get all the moving pieces of the project to work. One of the sub-catagories of this superlist was the list for the order of image placement in post production so I would keep track of what I needed to shoot come principle production day.

Needless to say, this one was a lot to think about.

A big aspect of this one was making sure that once I got my lighting and shooting angles assessed, that I didn’t move the camera at all until every layer was documented. This was basically insurance that the pieces of the edit would fit together easily since there were a ton of greebling details on the walls. Trying to morph images together if they didn’t match up correctly could result in some weird and warped looking Lego parts in the final image and I didn’t want it to come to that.

But all in all… for the most part it worked out pretty well! :)
