This new KO Custom Minifgs Iceman is such a neat concept! Now granted, for $50 there isn’t a whole lot to talk about by way of custom parts, but his print is solid, and the application of it over a fully transparent minifig is just so fun! And honesty I really don’t have much more to say about him so I'm gonna move right along :P

Now this Diamond Custom Bricks / Gold Bricks co-production of the 90s Rogue is stunning!

It’s a bit of a shame about Rogue’s head print though. For one thing, the face is printed really low on the piece, and also doesn’t come with a second print on the back of the head. For $100 (oof) I would have expected a double sided head and better alignment but hey, the rest of the fig is still fantastic!

Also (and maybe this is just me being nit-picky) but I kind of wish her jacket would have been printed in dark tan, not reddish brown. It’s a dark color that gets lost amongst the hair and the standard green and subsequent two darker green shades of the torso print. If the design was simplified to not have those additional two layers or that jacket was brighter, maybe I’d be a little more on board with it.

Lastly, the two custom hair pieces she came with are really cool too! Both are printed well on the outside and are shaped really neatly. Again one of my more common gripes with custom parts these days is that things like these two hairs don’t quite have the “lego look” if you know what I mean.

Like the hair still looks great, but it leans more towards looking like action figure hair rather than lego hair. It’s got some great volume, but the amount of hair strands makes it feel like too much of a good thing from certain points. But hey that’s more of a personal preference.

All in all though, the fig as a whole still looks great, especially with a quick head swap! ;)
