Okay okay, the jig is up! I’ve been holding on to all of these X-Figs that were completed/produced/sent out during the months of June and July and the timing couldn’t have been better!

(the only other fig that didn’t quite make the deadline was Crosscheck’s upcoming Wolverine fig that was delayed… but don’t you worry, I’ll soon talk about that fig when it’s completed)

But yeah man, the weird coincidental timing of all these classic X-Men figs being dropped around the same time was an opportunity like no other! So without further delineation, let’s talk about the dessert of this three course minifig review!

With a quick turn around of about six months for their pre-order, this Colossus and Juggernaut two pack is stunning! Produced by a newbie on the scene; L1n6 Minifigures! This is their first custom minifigure project coming all the way from Singapore and man they knocked it out of the park with these two!

First off, these two were both really well packaged! They came as a pair in a cardboard sleeve, then further independent hard cases, wrapped in plastic and encased in foam like my goodness. And all for $160?! That’s only $80 a fig plus all their accessories like holy smokes! What a steal! :P

The figs are both great, and Colossus for me is the stand out of the two. The metallic application of the silver around the fig is great and the bonus expressions look wonderful! I do have to bring my critical eye into these review so bare with me here, but it was an interesting choice for L1n6 to print the knee pads with gold trim to match the belt compared to the yellow of the chest piece or vice versa... it’s a bit odd, but I’ve also seen other colorists do this in books so yeah… idk just seeing it in person gives you a different perspective. The chest being yellow while the other accents in the belt and such are gold… personally I would have liked a uniform color scheme, but it doesn’t really matter all that much in the end. I’m honestly being nit-picky for a fig that has absolutely floored all the other figs in this super-X review :P

Oh also I’m not sure if it was standard procedure or not, but I received a total of three heads with Colossus (there was one stuffed into the side of the packaging for whatever reason) so that’s cool! Although I kinda wish that at least one of the expressions could have been a smirk or a smile, but hey ya can’t have everything!

I mean other than that, the shoulders of Colossus’s chest armor could have been wider, the belt could have been a little cleaner but still… I’m just gonna shut up and move on!

Juggernaut again just like Colossus is a really well printed fig and again has some great custom parts! The inside of Juggernaut’s helmet isn’t the cleanest of custom parts I’ve received in my time, but it’s far from the worst! I also didn’t dare remove those little knuckle pieces from the hands in fear of losing them or breaking them. But they also look great!

Also something that doesn't usually bother me about custom parts but… all these custom elements that were included here have a matte finish. The hair, the dome helmet… all of them are lacking that polished shine to what most minifig parts have. Again it’s not something crucial but it’s noticeable in hand. Like it “feeeeeels” like a custom part in your hand.

And I guess my final thoughts about him are that at the end of the day, I’d still rather have a Juggernaut bigfig rather than a standard minifig... buuuut if this is the only Juggernaut fig I ever get, L1n6’s custom did the character justice :)
