The Devil of Hell's Kitchen (a salvage operation) (Patreon)

I think it’s been a long enough period of time that I’m okay to talk about this without somebody hunting me down (I hope).

Over a year ago, BlackStar Minifigues approached me to shoot some photos of their (new at the time) 2005 animated “The Batman” figure. We discussed down to the letter what we had planned for and ultimately decided on a straight up recreation of this old promo poster here.

Now either it was due to some miscommunication or something (despite me providing a shipping address), I never received the custom figure. Outside of our messaging, I had every chance to order it from other resellers and actively chose to pass on them being under the impression that BlackStar had sent me one of theirs for the photoshoot (as we had discussed)

But nope. That didn’t happen, and I missed out on the fig all together, as well as the chance to shoot the project entirely…. (darn)

So despite it all, I still had these buildings lying around, keeping them built in the hopes that I might still be able to find a fig second hand, but being so far past it’s release and still nothing… I think it’s fair that I put them to good use in other ways.

With a color palette of deep dark reds and blacks, well Daredevil was the next obvious choice to take it! With a bit of skewing and messing with the framing of the shots, I was still able to salvage the build! :)
