Wow! What an incredible looking pair of figures!

I’d like to welcome to the community NostalgiaFigs! A fresh face to the game coming in SUPER strong with their first pair of custom minifigures!

Like holy smokes get a load of these two! Right out of the gate they look sleek and professionally made! Not only that but the design translation is top tier stuff! That print quality is dynamite! 

When it comes to the use of print, I love what they did with the dark colors printed to make the bright red of the plastic appear as the highlights of the design! 

I mean come on! Look at that design though! Looks so Lego-like! I love it!

They even included the little circle power packs on his hips! Look at the perforated boots and underoos! Get a load of the classic Tony head print! And look at the custom parts! The flair on the gauntlets! The Lego-style shaping of the helmet! AND it’s got a removable faceplate?!

GAHHHH

Incredible stuff!

Okay I need to refine my thoughts here and stop ogling! Let’s start at the beginning!

The packaging is fun and features some nice artwork of the figs. The comic RGB dot-print aesthetic is really cool and the presentation when you pull them out of the mailer!

The red suit came with a “boozed up” Tony head that’s a bit silly and a lot of fun! While the Stealth Suit comes with a scared steaming head that I absolutely LOVE! Again with the design skills here, they fit right in with official figs perfectly and even have a stronger quality to them than official printed parts!

I should also mention that I really really like how Nostalgia got the colors right for the stealth suit! Finally somebody got the damn stealth suit colors right!!

Medium blue and Dark blue! None of that standard blue nonsense! Christo and FunnyBrick (and  it seems like Jin as well) all have stuck with the wrong color palette so I’m very happy to see Nostalgia get it right! Might be part of the reason why I don’t own any of the rest of them, but shit, Nostalgia got The Model 7 right and it’s amazing no one else has up til now!

But of course where the printing and design blows me away, I can't go too far without talking about the parts that bring these figs all together!

The helmets are a conversation piece all on their own! The shiny red injection molding (yes you read that right! No 3D Printing here!) up against the matte plastic faceplates are a really cool concept!

The faceplates fit really nicely into either helmet unlike the old FunnyBrick fig from many years back that was in dire need of an upgrade!

Plus the printing on them is so damn clean! I mean look at how the red eyes just pop on the Model 7 faceplate! 

Okay and get this! Not only are these helmets injection molded, but they’ve got Nostalgia’s logo on the inside of the helmet too! You never see that unless it’s a Christo fig! Like that’s crazyyy!

I think the only gripe that I could make is that the faceplates might have benefited with some shading print so the cheek bones wouldn’t get as lost, but other than that, they’re absolutely perfect pieces!

Oh and I almost forgot to talk about the gauntlets! Those gauntlets again are just so well made! They are (just like the helmets) injection molded and really high quality pieces! Down to the well defined rivets/shaping, and a nice snug fit that isn’t too tight! :)

Like holy shit Nostalgia! Where have you been all this time?! You've blown all the other customizers out of the water on your very first release!

Also on the topic of comparisons, here it is next to my collection of other classic Model 4 Iron Man suits by Dragon Brick, FunnyBrick, and Christo7108!

To wrap all this up though, I think Nostalgia strikes that perfect balance for me of classic comic styling, simple Lego-like design, and high quality print work that just skyrocket this fig into my top ten figs I own!

I do hope that they do a War Machine in this style one day as well! In fact if they just made literally anything else I’ll probably be picking up simply on the quality alone!

All things considered, these are absolutely stellar figures! Each at an incredible low price of only $45! AND NO PREORDER?!
