Alright cool! Another MrJ Brick fig!

It’s a solid rendition of the character. It looks to be primarily inspired by the old Cartoon Network Teen Titans animated series with a MrJ Brick twist that... well... you see there are some things I like and dislike about it....

The print application over all is slick as always from MJB but I’ve got some gripes.

For me, it starts to go downhill when we start talking about design. That second head’s facial designs is the elephant in the room. It’s got this weird uncomfortable anime sexualization to the expressions that I’m not a big fan of (hence why I skipped over MJB’s Starfire and Tigra figs all together), but this one was a surprise that I must not have noticed in the pre-order…

Needless to say here... we DO NOT condone sexulization of TEEN characters in ANY FUCKING WAY. Like jesus christ MJB, what’s wrong with you man! That shit is gross! Don’t do that! I know the community has already come down on you for that, but man… not cool!

*deep breath*

So anyway… after throwing that terrible head in the garbage, the next big bummer that appeared was the lack of any inner leg printing whatsoever. It’s super jarring to have the dark boots just cut off like that. I mean, with a boot print that goes around three sides, I wonder why the inside was skipped...

They could have even been dual molded or something, but nope. It’s hard not to see the missing ink in a lot of poses unfortunately, so for a majority of the time, it’ll look the best in a default pose…

The printed hands however, are a standout!

It’s been a relatively untapped corner of the minifigure customizer community, so it’s neat to have the final spots on a fig filled in where in the last decade, prints like these would be unheard of! Oddly enough, they’re not Lego-made hands. The seem to be either knock-off KOPF hands, or made specially for this project. You can see how there’s no palm curve to the underside of the hand; just a flat line from wrist to fingers (rhetorical plastic fingers)

Lastly… finally… endlyingly… the custom parts!

The capes are really well molded and shaped! Par for the course with MJB figs. I really enjoy that while they’re similar, it’s not an exact carbon copy of the cape’s sagging and folding. You can really see the difference in the shoulder blade area.

They both fit well and are clean on the inside, just like the solo hair piece. The only complaint is the amount of dusty stuff on the head area of the hooded cape. Even after a microfiber cloth to the piece, there were lots of scrappy bits that you can still see in these photos

All in all… I’m on the fence about this one. It’s a less-than solid fig and we’ve not seen MrJBricks disappoint me like this before.

It’s odd… this whole thing was odd…

I pre-ordered this Raven fig from Tracy Minifigs several months back. Pretty sure they're sold out by now...
