L1N6's Inhumans - Karnak & Crystal! (Patreon)
Content
Hey guess what! I’m back to talk more Inhumans! Woo!
Let’s dive right in!
Karnak here is where L1N6’s designs start to depart a bit from the Video Game source material. This fig is pretty similar to the game, but with a few minor design changes, most notably the headpiece. It’s a shame the final fig here didn’t include the grey ear coverings, but what we get here is still good enough… to a point.
What gives it the lower marks comes not only from the departure of design, but it doesn't color match with the rest of the fig!
I tell ya, L1N6 and the color green just don’t get along!
Oh and the headpiece is even more scuffed up than Gorgon’s headpiece :(
Frankly, the quality control could have been a lot better here, and the coloring trouble really kicks L1N6’s butt. It also doesn’t help that L1N6 printed the muscle pattern in a strange light-green ink that could have benefited from a darker shade or higher contrast. The muscles get lost in the green of the torso’s plastic and just looks funky in most colored lighting. I’m sure in renders it looked okay, but in execution it’s a little hazy.
This is also the fig with the least amount of custom parts so far, but sets right in the middle of the pack at $72.
I’m happy that L1N6 at least included a second head print… but still… it’s a shame that this fig cost about the same as the others but the quality control was so much lower.
Certainly the weakest of the group so far…

Crystal is where the fig designs really start to shy away from the Video Game. From here, the figs begin to look more like L1N6 figs and less like Lego. I mean get a load of that hair! A bit of an overkill if you ask me (but we’ll get to that)
I’ve said it a hundred times, I’m a fan of the classics, so it’s a teeeny tiny bit of a shame that Crystal has this big modern side-parted hair style when she should have the 60’s go-go girl bangs! It’s one of the big things I think of when I picture Crystal’s classic look!
Honestly my opinions of the hair capture the feeling I have for this entire fig because it's very clearly not intended to look classic (unlike all the other figs we've taken a look at so far).
I wish she was simplified (ironically to look more like the Video Game design) so she would fit better next to my Johnny Storm and the other Inhumans we've already chatted about.
The hair is a bit too long… a bit too wavy… a bit modern…. and just a bit too attention grabbing. While the piece was produced and printed well, it’s just odd that L1N6 had to go and complicate things.
Again, my opinions reflect that of the hair.
The print all over this fig is really good quality, easily the second best after Triton. But man, there’s a too much linework going on for my liking. It gives the fig an MCU vibe that in a way some people would probably prefer, buuuut I’m on the fence about it.
Other than the hair, the two heads aren’t great. The eyes are too far apart, the mouth is too small, the difference in expressions is almost indistinguishable… I mean, lips slightly open vs a faint smirk? Not even an angry expression or a sad face or anything? Laaaame!
Thankfully a quick head swap fixes that no problem!
Regardless of what you or I think of the design, what we got here is still fantastic! I should count myself lucky to even be four figs deep into a six-fig review of ALL The Inhumans!
That’s just nuts!
But hey! Only two more to go! Pop in tomorrow to see more ;)
