LifeBrick Spider-Week; Personal Thoughts and Comparisons (Patreon)

These four spider-figs are some of the best to ever be produced, hands down! (I don’t think anyone was gonna argue with me on that point) But there’s also another factor I feel I need to talk about before we move on to tomorrow’s surprise review!

LifeBrick, while improving their abilities in their products, can be an absolute menace of a brand to collect! They’ll release three or four figures within a week of each other, but also at the same time limit the number of figs they produce, all while hosting private sales with reseller exclusives.

The Damaged FFH Spidy that a lot of folks tried to get a hold was limited to just 50 copies! All based on LB’s weird sales model of holding new of its release from the public until about eight hours before the item goes live.

And of course we’ve got to talk about price…

$509 for these four figs. That’s nuts, even for me! And with the demand for their quality and their annoying business model, you either have to drop that cash in an instant, or cry for the rest of your life.

To be fair, it breaks down to roughly $127~ per fig, but that’s already a pretty steep price for just one minifig! Sure the arguments will flow! “Andrew, they come with tons of accessories, they’re printed literally everywhere, they’re high quality!”

And to that I want to respond with “We’ll yeah… I agree with the pricing… sorta…”

It’s a hard pill to swallow, sure, but we’ve seen figs (like the recent-ish LeonBricks Hawkeye sell for $120 and that fig didn’t even get the colors right!

I think we all have an upper price range, but I found that these are all well within that right and frankly LB could have gouged prices further. They technically charged an extra $20 for the damaged suit and it sold out within minutes!

So… yeah…

While the end result of holding these figs in your hands is nice; feeling the rush of endorphins when they finally get photographed and shared with the world! It’s good! But also… dropping three preorders at once, then a secret fourth preorder to complete a series is not so good.

They did it with Daredevil, and now these Spidey figs.

LifeBrick… cut it out! Please don’t alienate your fans by robbing them blind!
