What’s this? Another Custom Classic Marvel Minifig? It can’t be! What a shock! Here, let my calm and soothing voice relax your nerves for a while and we’re work through this together!

Talk about an interesting fig, I don’t think anybody has made a classic Bucky Barnes yet! Plenty have tacked almost every version from the MCU a dozen times over, but this lil fella right here? This war torn child that puts Robin to shame?! …I can’t think of anyone that has made one, so it must be a L1N6 fig! This time utilizing fig designs by BobsCustoms!

Bob’s been on the flickr scene for ages now, but only recently as that ship has begun to sink have they begun to outsource some of their fantastic designs; and I for one am here for it! However (like with a lot of L1N6 produced figs) this guy has some funny colors going on that really start this review off rather bumpy.

Bucky here is printed over Medium Blue, not regular Lego Blue. Though at the risk of sounding like a contrarian, I kinda dig it! The lighter (dare I say baby blue) of the fig really brings a bit more youth to the fig that I don’t think standard blue would have captured.

But even then… that red is a bit too dark! :(

I’m not even gonna waste your time with the color complaints. It’s seems to be the most consistent problem across the board for L1N6 figs and going into detail would be like... like uh... (insert funny circular thing here)

Now only 60 of these figs were made. It’s a decent amount, but clearly I was in the minority to get a hold of one. They didn’t sell out right away, and I wonder if it has to do with the face prints…?

I personally hate how wide the mask is (and how the entire face is printed super low). Especially when you look at the collectors tile and back of the box (aka the original preorder render) and notice how stretched it is on the final fig  vs what was actually sent to us.

Frankly, with a decent head & hair swap, it can be improved upon, but to a point where 1) the face is weird, 2) the colors are weird, and 3) no (custom) accessories to boot… I’m surprised these didn’t sit on reseller websites longer.

I’m a big fan of the classics, so picking up this fig was a no-brainer for me, but I can certainly see why a lot of folks would skip him! Idk… I might have also bought him just to pair with Nostalgia’s Cap since they released around the same time at a slightly higher price 🤷🏻‍♂️

In the end here, I’ll let you guys make your own judgment, but mine is (oddly) still positive, but L1N6 is beginning to lose their popularity with me. We shall see what the future holds for them…
