It’s been a hot minute since we’ve talked about some Inhumans!

What a nice fig from LCM! Although… the way they packed this fella is a bit of a bummer :/

Seeing as how the fig was wrapped in a baggie and then tossed into a huge foam-filled clam shell wrapped in cling wrap (a bit overkill already if you ask me) the way he was jammed in there sort of squashed the prongs (tuning fork) on both his helmets.

So naturally I’m already a little less enthusiastic about this fig… but from a critical point of view, we’re off to a good start! :)

Honestly though, the custom parts really are the best aspect of this fig and both of them were smooshed like when you order a pillow online and it arrives vacuum sealed and then just looks kinda wrong for the next few days until the air of life fills its little pillow lungs again…

…I don’t really know where that analogy was going.

Anyway, the print is great! The design translation is really really strong here! At first I was worried with how dark the silver is all over the fig. It feels a little faded, but upon doing some refreshed research, it’s actually pretty screen accurate to the DS&TMOM CGI costume.

Dulled silver was exactly how it appeared and my brain had autocorrected it to something brighter. I think that says more about my brain than it does the movie, but I’m still gonna blame the movie for having low contrast.

The facial designs are really the kicker for me! They look exactly like Anson Mount and I love his little smirk he’s got! The stubble is nice and sharp too! I would have liked to have gotten maybe one more double sided head with a shouting expression and a frowning expression (mostly for action shots), but the two we still got here are nice!

Other than that, the helmets are frustrating. Nice quality, but poorly shipped to me. And the moron that was behind the camera forgot to photograph their insides.

…Note to self, fire the photographer.

As for comparisons go, this is the second time in a row that we’ve gotten a Black Bolt figure without a shouting head! What’s that about?!

I mean I guess with LMC's fig, the thought was to recreate a very specific moment? But like come on man, that’s Black Bolt’s whole deal! Sonic shouting! Why not give us a shouting head?

Thankfully with all the minor grips aside, it was a surprisingly cheap figure, clocking in at around $75 before international shipping. Given that this is all we got from the fig, it’s decent for the quality we have here. 

Still pretty weird that in the last year we’re gotten two of these fellas 🤔
