LifeBrick's Rami Symbiote Suit! (Patreon)

And now for the companion fig of this two pack! The re-colored symbiote suit! (just in time for the spooky halloween season!)

Not only is this fig just as impressive as the last, but I was personally more satisfied this time around! And it’s not just because of the (yet again) fantastic wrap-around printing or the (shocker) the incredible texturing work!

It’s in the little things! Frankly if I’m gonna pay out the nose for LB figs, these days I expect perfection, damnit!

We're off to a good start with this one too! No weird red/blue color blocking (no doubt due to the parts used) and thankfully this spider-helmet actually fits correctly! I had no problems with it whatsoever; a rare unsanctimonious win for those LB Helmet Fans!

Now the best part of this fig for me was the Peter bits (...that sounded wrong but you know what I mean!) The facial design here is 2-0 for LB! Crazy! I generally don’t prefer LifeBrick’s head prints, so this was a treat! It also pairs perfectly with the custom hair!

But… while I absolutely love the alternate Peter Parker face, the black around the neck is a bit sloppy and actually causes some problems on this fig. With the extra layer of ink that got gunked on the inside of the neck, the head doesn't fit right on the torso or on most lego studs.

I actually got it to fit a little better on some other torsos, but the one torso that matters most, it was too tight for… whomp whomp…

I could probably force it on if I really tried, but then I don’t think I’d get it off any time soon without a pair of pliers, so that’s kind of a buzzkill.

But that hair though! Lookit that hair! It’s not overly designed, but still distinct enough to really match up with the look on screen! :)

But what about the two LifeBrick figs side by side!? Well et's take a look!

Now comparing the two, outside of some minor shading changes in the muscular design and the emblem, the big contrast here is the dimmed silver, paired with that dark-dark grey pattern used across the entire fig!

Whether it was intentional or not for the texture-work to elevate the fig like that, who’s to say, but I like it a lot!

Honestly (and this is gonna sound crazy) but I think I like this fig better than the standard blue/red version. There’s (slightly) less disappointment involved with this one that elevates my opinion of it.

And again, $170 for this one too and it shows the tech skill LB brings to the table every time I review one of their figs. But those impressive details can quickly be overshadowed by gaps in the prints or parts not fitting right.

Both of them were amazing and so close to perfect 😔

…but I still like ‘em!
