this was fun, so easy and powerful. I tested it and I just had to make this tutorial right away!the concept is simple: create a set of vector elements in illustrator. then pack it into a true type font ready to use within resolume. you need Resolume version 7.1you can also use any font out there ! for example dingbats. if you dont know what a dingbat is check this out: https://www.dafont.com/de/theme.php?cat=707&fpp=200 just install a dingbat on your system and use it in resolume.1) in illustrator prepare all your elements on one layer2) make them all the same size (in this tutorial I use a the size of 200x200px but this doesnt really matter because it is vector anyways)3) set your artboard size to 200x200px4) select all elements and align to center (horizontal and vertical)5) scale all to fit perfectly within the artboard6) release all elements into layers7) move all layer out of parent layer and delete parent layer8) export all layers as SVGs with MultiExporter script: download: https://www.illustratorscripts.com/scripts/multi-exporter/install the .jsx to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 20XX\Presets\en_US\Scriptschange these export settings:- set output directory- export format to SVG- uncheck trim edgesyou can also export PNG sequences !9) goto https://glyphter.com10) change setting square height to 200px11) set a fontname12) drag and drop all svgs13) download font and install14) start resolume and have fun with text animatorlet me know if it works and what you think.
