C Episode! Which performances/trainees stood out for you in this ep?

Next week has 2 eps again and then I believe after that, it'll just be the one ep per week as the boys advancing will be combined.

It's funny because for sure we will have favorites from K and C. and when they combine them. I will be like, "who the f**k will I vote now" 🤣🤣🤣 just wanna share I'm soooo happy I can understand a little mandarin hehehe. don't need to read subtitles from time to time heheheheheh

Surprisingly, Planet C episode had more standout trainees than Planet K episode did. Standout trainee for Planet C is definitely Sun Heng Yu, the desperation and talent shone through so much that it was hard not to be drawn into it. I do feel like a lot of Planet C performances had pretty bad song choices. Even for the groups that did fairly well, chose songs that werent the most ideal. Devil Game and Fever are extremely high songs with mostly falsettos (that even ZB1 and Enhypen struggle with live), so having those song choices was something. Only Sun Heng Yu, Nian Bo Heng and Lim Jack really had song choices that played to their strengths. So far, while K and C centers are decent/above average. I still do not get the appeal of both K and C centers yet. But hopefully we get to see more and what they did to get the center parts.

The participants from s1 with Krystian are as follows. Cai Jinshin: Was on the Feel Special Team with Woonggi and Shuaibo. Xuan hao: Was the Burn it up team center, the person who danced with pink feathers on the surprise camera. Fun fact: Xuan hao has been an actor in China since Boys Planet and has a background in filming BL dramas.

Finally, someone agrees with me. For some reason, Western fans seem to have a prejudice with Korean trainees in survival show. Most Westerners are saying that C Planet was more impressive and I'm just like where? Only about 5 trainees stood out here whereas about 10-15 stood out in K for me. This is the difference between Korean training and other Asian countries.

YIchen was in Project7 and Jiang Fan in universe League. You know Jiang Fan from the Siren audition. And Sun Jiayang (the one you called gyuvin's little brother from Pump it up group) participated in Starlight boys and he showed great improvement from his audition there. He was in the bottom, 1 star in Starlight boys and improved greatly within a week and now he got All stars. So proud of him. I don't know what happened to Binghua (the one who perfromed Candy). He went to the finals in Project7 I think. He was really good there. This is why I feel one more chance should be given coz sometimes people have bad days which doesn't mean they are bad.

+Never(which is performed by an individual trainee who earned a living by working for 12 hours after the group was disbanded) was composed by Hui during Produce 101 s2. At that time, Hwang Min-hyun was a member of the team, so it was mentioned when the two faced each other on Boys Planet s1. They all debuted as Wanna One except for one of team members. And I can feel Junhyun in all of Jack's actions lol because in full version of the video, he roars as soon as the song ends.

Some stuff I noticed different in the subs when I watched on Viki that might mean the translations are off on Vie or Viki: The guy from Lay's company (Chen Kai Wen), the subs on Viee said he said he was BETTER THAN ZIHAO but the subs on Viki said he was better at dancing than singing. I guess the actual sentence does what asian languages do sometime and didn't say what he was better than because it should be implied in context or they cut out the context and the translator had to guess what he was better than/better at. In general, other than translating regular participants (VIU) as Amateurs on Viki, it seems like Viiki tends to translate the subs in a more polite way. Not ssuree which is more accurate. Some notes on participants and their edits: Binghua was on another show and is an amazing vocalist and decent dancer. I feel like when producers found out his voice was off during the audition period they encouraged him or the judges to phrase things in such a way that made him seem worse than he. He's an amazing vocalist.

Both Zhang Jiahao and Zhou Anxin were on Make Mate 1. These are the 2 that performed Enhypen’s Fever. People were shocked that Zhang Jiahao was eliminated because he was probably the best dancer there but kept getting put with the lesser team. I will be voting for them here, as I think they have so much potential.

Rooting for Jia Hao and An Xin! I've seen them during the MakeMate1 survival show. Jia Hao almost made it! He'll be a great leader!

This is just a side note, Jia Hao and An Xin (Fever group) are also a part of Chromosome Entertainment. They are EXO Lay’s trainees. They are appearing under Nouer, because that company allows them to work in Korea, where they had previously appeared on Makemate1. It’s kinda like when SM made Label V, so WayV could promote in China. So Lay has 3 trainees participating in planet C and 1 in planet K.

MY TOP8 C-GROUP LINEUP: 1.Yichen 2.LynnLynn 3.Anxin 4.Sen 5.jiahao 6.Hengyu 7. Nian Boheng 8.Kaiwen/Bowen/He Xin Long/ Fan Zhe Yi Sadly that Lim Jack is already eliminated :( I still don't understand why we can vote for people who are already eliminated.. Binghua is also gone too + Qui Lan the actor who filmed with Jackie Chan and Jun from SVT he dropped the show after the first Episode.

Boy Story has six members. They are basically on a hiatus/limbo now. 2 members are focusing on their studies and are the two youngest, and one member just got off hiatus for a dating scandal. The hyung line is active, and the maknae line is on hiatus or just coming back. The three on Boys Planet are the hyung line, and Xinlong is acting as the maknae here. People think JPop is inaccessible, but CPOP takes the cake. I was only able to buy one album out of eight years. They did K-Con sometimes, but I don't know why they stopped. COVID messed them up as well. Pump it Up was their last comeback (9 months ago), and the most recent TikTok they filmed was with Yeji for 'Air". It's crazy.

from this episode I really liked Nian Bo Heng the low voice in tap, also hengyu and I'm really interested on He Xin Long from boystory...I like his visuals I hope is good. I did casually follow boystory when they first debuted but that was on 2018 and I honestly dont remember much of them

Don't take this the wrong way but I think the only reason that the C planet contestants really 'stood out' is that the overall skill level was so much lower that anything better seemed so so much better. I struggled to get 8 to vote for but with the k group I found more then 8. I will say that I think there are definitely a few of the Chinese contestants who will throw the K contestants for a loop, but overall, K group did far better in my opinion.

it's funny how you said that hengyu's styling is "outdated" because the song he performed is sooooo ancient (concept battle song for produce 101 season 2! the very very iconic stage that left a mark in produce series you should check it out on your own time if possible :3)

idol survival shows have actually been banned by the gov in china since there was a lot of controversy surrounding ywy3 (the show lisa was a mentor on) and the finale was cancelled:’) all the recent idol survival shows that have been marketed towards the chinese market have been filmed outside mainland china as a loophole

My first time watching a survival show along with you loll... I-land was the last one I watched real time lmao, and I was so stressed watching that To be honest, I'm watching along cause of all the Chinese trainee's 🤣 ready to be stressed🚶🏻‍♀️I'm already stressed I really hope that mnet will not mistreat the c trainees as much, but I've already heard on sns that it's not that great so far. Maybe it's cause I'm biased since I'm Chinese, but like I just wanna see other Chinese people do well with their dreams of being an artist.

I feel u the cuts and editing on the performances r so annoying most of the times. I feel like seeing the full fixed cam ones of some of the performances gave me a better experience than seeing them within the episode itself and definitely left a different impression.

I literally had no idea Jiang Fan was participating in boys 2 planet!! He was one of my absolute favs in Universe League (like he was literally my only 1 of 7 picks that didn’t debut) and I was so upset to see him get eliminated there. I really really hope he gets promoted and screen time here because he’s an incredible dancer and also a pretty solid vocalist as well

Also I do have a little more faith in next episodes performance of C trainees being a bit better. There’s quite a few contestants that I know from outside of boys planet that have shown great talent/potential that are yet to go. Like the boystory guys haven’t gone yet and then there’s Jiang Fan, Yichen (from Project 7), Krystian, Dong Hong hai. So maybe we’ll get more standouts later

I guess you probably won’t see this anymore, but… well, regarding Chen Kai Wen, the subtitles where it says he claimed his dancing is better than Wang Zihao’s are wrong. He didn’t say that; he just said dancing is the skill he’s most confident in. Also, I think his performance is one of those where watching the full version makes a huge difference. In the full one, his singing wasn’t bad at all, and it actually feels like in the cut version they removed the parts where he sang well and focused on the shaky moments instead
