Honestly so relieved to have the merge and only 1 ep per week from next week cause this show along with WSWF had me exhausted lol Even though I like watching these, my brain power just need the rest LOL

My top 3 did not make it, and I'm sad about the comments toward Boy Story, especially Hanyu and him getting eliminated. Felt like Hanyu confidence got shot and he couldn't recover enough in the judges eyes for whatever reason. Even when you watch his fancam of the signal song it's great. Evaluation felt like a walking contradiction and was not based on their talent, but visuals, which is pretty foul to me. It doesn't make sense to me that 36 C contestants got eliminated, and they only have six all-stars. K contestants have way more lead way and Mnet could not be more obvious.

Correct, they are just on hiatus and stuck in limbo because of JYPE's stupidity. Pre-COVID, it was great. They were putting them everywhere with GOT7 and ITZY, and then it just stopped. Two members are on hiatus for studies, and one member just got off hiatus after dating allegations.

This episode of boys planet made me so annoyed, because I felt bad for the c trainees. I feel like there were good performances but they montages those and didn't show those.

I will say rewatching this after seeing it already is so depressing... like 80% of it doesn't matter when most of them are going to be gone anyway

52 out of 80 of the k group survived, while only 28 out of the 80 c group survived. so there are 80 trainees left overall (eliminated 80 total). I feel like since they knew they would be eliminating more than half of the c group, they decided to mainly showcase the bad performances. Also, according to the eliminated trainees they were initially given the wrong song & choreo (korean version) so they had to begin learning it at night and only had a day to practice... I also saw many of them say that they all agreed on Anxin being the center, I assume his performance was better the second time around. They did mention, and show him saying that he was really nervous, even right before his performance. We'll have to see how he continues to do, which I hope is well.

Honestly, I just don't like how they used the merger to cut so many of the c trainees. A lot of them in the solo videos available on YouTube have been so good, but they didn't show them on this episode😭 I kind of wish that we got some more Chinese, or people who know Chinese as the mentors. Not just xiaoting. I was also really taken aback by the lose weight comment. He wasn't even fat, like wtf. I can tell that the c group is much more 'unified' if that makes sense...?? Like in some of the YouTube content that boys planet is putting out of behind the scenes, reactions to the first episode, and etc, c group is much more 'unified'. Idk what the right words I wanna use is though😭 Also, I find it sad that the sexy guy (he zhongxing), his personality seems to be getting 'forced' out of himself by mnet and some of the masters😭 I get that the sexy persona is definitely overbearing in the first episode, but he has personality at least in my opinion

A lot of people are mad about what Jaejong said to Boy Story, but in his message it was stated that he wasn’t even the one to bring up his weight, Han Yu was. Mnet just cut it out to make him look “strict”. It’s funny how people will defend evil editing from trainees, but not from the mentors as well. Kany even stated they did it to her as well in the first episode. People need to stop being so emotional and use their common sense 🙄

omg I thought they were going to cut even amount of people between K and C like 40 each for example. but there's a discrepancy? oh gosh... also so unfair they kinda got sabotaged right there with the mix up of languages. no wonder so many couldn't deliver properly.

I also heard that an eliminated c trainee talked about how the c group received the signal song a day earlier, but they were given the wrong dance, so they were set back a day😭

Some auditions was only posted on their youtube channel, like mnet😃 Jiang Fan's audition together with Xie Yuxin, a UL participant too, was there and they performed well!

wdym? there’s no other updates regarding his issue aside from his apology letter where he own up to his allegations. that one co-trainee u said is from a random dump acc in X with no proofs that he really knows geonwoo. and aside from it eliminated C-trainees lowkey confirmed about the AC issue with geonwoo with their letters on IG and when they go live in douyin :))

In comparison to k group, for c group they intentianlly show the worst moments to convince the viewers they're less capable because c group BY FAR has the more ready to debut trainees. All 28 of them, like their one stars are fallen 3-2 stars. They're chinese contestants, ofc mnet aren't going to showcase them. You see how in all the all stars ONLY their dance was shown??? Its because they all did amazing with the singing. Hengyu, Bowen, etc.

My favorite from C group is Zhang Jiahao, who did the Fever performance with Anxin. Jiahao was on Makemate I, and he was arguably the best dancer. He is shy, so that probably hurts him but he was also the most selfless leader in MakeMate, so I hope MNET starts showing more of him.

I simply don't understand (i lied we definitely know) why Mnet didn't make it an even 40/40 for the C & K trainees. Also one of my biggest gripes is if this group is gonna be promoted in China too, why is it only Korea's votes that's getting that extra weight??

I also have mixed feelings. I find it quite odd that Mnet & WakeOne have not released anything to demonstrate his innocence yet. I feel like they would have quickly released the evidence if that was case (not saying he can't be), especially since Mnet was going to push him to debut due to his center position, and WakeOne would likely not risk having him going down when he had high possibilities of debuting, which would benefit them. It kind of feels like they are just playing the waiting game -- to see if the issue dies down.

Ok I haven't watched the whole ep yet, but am I tripping or do they do an insane amount of post processing on some the voices? I genuinely can't tell if they're singing well or not because of the tuning. I have noticed it in the K episodes too, and it's a bit jarring when I would just like to understand their levels at singing.

I'm still waiting for them to show Yi Chen perform. They've shown his face and part of when he was getting vocal coaching (3 seconds), but they only showed 2 seconds of the audition he was in and focused on the other participant and skipped his signal song evaluation entirely. We've seen 5 seconds of him performing, no interviews, and the one part of vocal training they showed was negative commentary. Since he's mainly a rapper, I'm hoping he gets more edits now the shows are combining. He's really funny. He also made it to the finals in another show, so I'm looking forward to seeing him again here. Can't wait to see your reaction when he gets some screentime.

ya i dont get it either cause sk is one of the smaller markets for kpop. my guess is that its cause its a korean owned show and the primary outcome is still a kpop group

oh my god i remember seeing another comment earlier that reminded us that youtube is blocked in china, so using youtube likes put the chinese trainees at an extreme disadvantage because people from their home country couldn't even vote for them!

it’s hard to comprehend these auditions overall cause they’re so short. i think the fancams on youtube are more accurate as others have mentioned

The situation with zhongxing is getting a bit out of hand. Clearly some people there just don’t like him. I get his first impression was kind of annoying but they’re sucking the life out of him, truly. The difference in his face at the end of the episode… it was like he was numb at that point. And the previews just show him getting mistreated even more.

Take this with a grain of salt but there were rumors that the K center actually voted by trainees was not the guy who got final center. This is the first time that masters also had a say as to who would be signal song center and had great weight too. And when eliminated C trainees went on a live and shared some stuff that were not shown they mentioned the C trainees actually got to choose their signal song center (so might be kinda shady on the K side). What's funny is they even made jokes about the AC issue lol. But the rumored K center the trainees voted for Jung Hyunjun is also from Nouer like Anxin so Mnet might be trying to avoid multiple popular trainees from the same agency (cough traumatized by 4 Yuehuas in ZB1). Whether true or not, Mnet has really upped their manipulation and rigging thru screentime and edits this time around.

It's also important to note that unlike the first few Produce seasons where they uploaded the full performances of the trainees for the signal song so viewers could actually see for themselves why they got their ratings, Mnet hasn't done that for the more recent survivals shows. So they can cut screentime or not even show trainees who did very well or emphasize small mistakes if they want to pull down some trainees' popularity. Or for trainees they want to push, show the best parts of their performance but not show their mistakes at all. It's really just a lot of manipulation thru screentime and edits. Gosh I miss chinese survival shows now, Chuang and YWY were so much more fun and enjoyable to watch.
