I will be reacting to the dance practice videos of these performances if they release them just like what I did in the first season. 1-2 songs will be on Youtube and the rest will be here on Patreon. Chains will definitely be on Youtube. I might also do some fancams.

Oh man, the performances were so fun🥹 and always grateful for your time that you spend editing loll I feel like I only really had 2 main things that I wished could've been different. One being that I wish we could've gotten more from the other members of lucky macho! It would've been fun to see yumeki 's growth a bit more, hanwen, etc etc. (I'm so glad that donggyu got a lot of screentime though!) And then for main dish, I just wish they showed hengyu and kangmin talking it out. Because I really do believe that the stress was getting to both of them. I could understand kangmin's side, as well as hengyu'e side. Obviously for kangmin probably not the right time and place to say it, but I really was able to get where he was coming from. Plus, there were some behind the scenes pics where hengyu and kangmin seemed close, be it before the rehearsal situation, or after. I wished that the judges were a bit more understanding with hengyu during that rehearsal situation though. Also, when verivery was watching the stream, dohyeon said something about kangmin shouldn't act like him. I think because kangmin was trained in a pretty "harsh" way Also, I low key wished we could've seen the recording process of the songs, like we got in past survival shows! It could've been a really interesting thing to see, especially for people who don't usually see that process. Oh, and jiahao 's fancam is going really viral, and I'm so happy for him!! I think he has the highest views currently actually. I'm beginning to think that he can potentially get into the final lineup ngl🥹 because if we can get at least 3 c trainees, that'll be great! Xinlong, anxin, and jiahao. I really want kaiwen as well, but I don't think his fan base is as big/he hasn't gotten that big of a spotlight. My one pick is xinlong, but I have so many others I wanna support as well😭

Something funny I noticed was that donggyu is literally only 1 week or less younger than xinlong, but he called xinlong "xinlong hyung"🤣 then he probably realized, so later in the episode, he was saying "xinlongie". I was happy as someone who likes donggyu and xinlong🥹

Idk if you noticed but for the Sugar High stage they actually aired the rehearsal 😭😭 It’s not super obvious, but you can tell from the fancams 😓 On the performance they aired, sanghyeon bumped into liyu, but in the fancams no one bumped into anyone. It’s kinda weird how Mnet’s trying to make sugar high team look bad… like they clearly don’t like them

Lay must be so proud of JIAOHAO, he’s so good 😭 I truly hope he debuts, he’s my one-pick 🥹 The CHAINS performance was SO sexy, but I honestly got teary-eyed watching it. More than anything, I’m just so, so proud of him. He made the most of those 8 seconds and absolutely killed it 🔥

I don't know, but if he stayed in the top 8 after all the hate he received and without any benefit this time, I think it's safe to say his 1 pick is really strong and he has a big chance of making it to the group. ( I hope Chen Kai Wen will make it to the top 16; I really like that guy.)

On Friday they showed us the final mission songs + they announced rank 15 who is in the final and its Leejeong! They also showed some hints for their debut group name! There are rumors that Hengyu, Haneum, Masato are being eliminated? And that Jiahao is in the top8 Also.. yeah there are rumors that is going to be a 10member group! Top8 due to voting and two mentors picks! It would be nice to have more members 8 are to short... for those guys >_< Someone told the audience not to vote for Junseo thats why Junseo got a low score, idk if its true but there were some people who couldn't understand it due the language barrier but someone told the junseo fans that wasn't voting time yet.

I agree, “Chains” is the concept I want for the group especially with Sang Won as center haha. And thanks the for “this dance is the equivalent of belting” nugget. Helped me understand a lot. For the part switching, originally Sang Won was sub vocal 3 and Jia Hao was sub rapper 1. So they swapped so that Hao would be sub vocal 3 and Sang Won would be sub rapper 1

Omg I saw that too and I was getting so annoyed with the hate they were getting for the screentime that showed how respectful, hardworking, and responsible they are. Isn't that the good attributes that we want to have within a group? It makes me sad when I read those things. Also, I am pretty sure that MNET normally gives the backstory screentime to the two people who end up scoring the most in the end unless there's some sort of drama or struggle within the group, then they will show that.

Like omg. lol maybe an overshare, but I’m a raging pansexual but most of the time I’m convinced I’m a lesbian because in this day and age it’s so hard for me to stay attracted to men but JiaHao genuinely makes me exist as a woman just attracted to a man. Like he is sex personified. As a dancer myself, I tend to find people who dance really well already very attractive but Jiahao’s control over his torso and hips (especially for a man) is just breathtaking. Also his adorable and kind personality and insane face card.

This is exactly how I feel about the debut lineup! I think JiaHao, Junmin and Dongyu are long shots and I can’t even fathom that we could possibly get all 3 but this would be my dream lineup.

I truly hope I’m wrong but I have a bad feeling that Dongyu didn’t make it through the 3rd elimination. He was barely able to scrape by the 2nd. Like Jiahao for example was also only ranked 19th (putting him at risk for elimination as well) but he had a much larger viral moment that Dongyu didn’t really have. Like Jiahao had almost a Taerae level moment so I think he’ll push through but I feel like a lot of people were using Dongyu as part of their top 8 but he lacks a little when it comes to top 3 and one pick fanbase. I really really hope I’m wrong but that’s what my gut is telling me. I do think Junmin will push through but I also worry he will be teetering as well. I wish more talent was getting recognized 😭. Like I don’t have anything in particular against people like Liyu, Masato, and Hanwen (from what we’ve been shown they’re all clearly very kind and hardworking) but they need more time to improve their skills and it would be upsetting to see people like them make it past the next elimination while trainees like Junmin, Dongyu, and Hao are debut ready now.

There isn’t really a scandal, but after the last mission with the bad team, he was the leader. Since Donggyu did the choreography instead, people started calling him selfish, which is totally insane. Of course, the one with actual experience in choreography should take the lead in that part; it has nothing to do with being the leader or the killing part, as we’ve seen in other teams. However, Mnet evil edited him, and now he’s unfairly perceived as a bad and selfish leader.

Hengyu deserves so much better, boy was having a literal panic attack on stage and the judge told him to GET A GRIP🙄 Poor guys has been through so much in his life in general it hurts my heart but he ended doing really well on main dish stage! Thankyou for complimenting his performance Jeff!

I can't believe people are calling Lee Jeong "just a visual" on Twitter but then again what else would I expect from those people. So far my Top 8 is: Geonwoo, Haneum, Leo, Xinlong, Sanghyeon, Sangwon, Anxin, and a new entry which is Jiahao. Honestly, Main Dish was my least favorite out of the songs. Sugar High should've been 2nd in my opinion, with Chains being 1st and Lucky Macho being 3rd. I honestly don't get why you seem so offended by Masato, Liyu, and Sanghyeon. None of them were even off pitch. If anything, I think Masato should've been 3rd after Haneum and Woojin, his vocals improved so much, especially when he was on the chorus.

We have so many pairs that would fit so well in the lineup tbh Leo and Sangwon Jiahao and Anxin Donggyu and Junmin I know it’s a lot to ask for all of them together but one can dream right? 🥹

In Chains, Sangwon and JiaHao really did switch parts. The killing part is separate from actual parts. It is added on top of whatever part the trainees already have. So in this instance Sangwon was originally Sub Vocal 3 and JiaHao was Sub Rapper 1 (only 8 seconds long). But Sangwon so kindly switched with him so he could be featured more. Thus in the final performance JiaHao was Sub Vocal 3 and Sangwon was the Sub Rapper.

Chains team will get to perform at Countdown (as well as the offline fan meeting) so if you could also react to the performance there - like you did for whiplash - that would be great (if you have time)! Also, if they don’t release dance practices, I think reacting to some of the fan cams (you don’t have to do them all) would be nice. Also, Chains technically has 7 parts although there are only 6 people. There’s the killing part, main vocal, sub vocal 1, sub vocal 2, sub vocal 3, main rapper, and sub rapper. Therefore, technically the killing parts has two parts. They distributed the other 6 parts first (excluding the kp) while deciding on the 6 that would perform and Sangwon ended up with sub vocal 3 and JiaHao with sub rapper. Since Sangwon had the kp already he decided to switch his other part with JiaHao so he could have a bit more time. So in the end Sangwon ended up with the kp and sub rapper position, and JiaHao ended up taking sub vocal 3. That’s what they meant by switching parts.

I think for 1-Pick I’ll end up voting for Jiahao if he makes it to the final. I’ve been rooting for him and Anxin since the beginning bc I watched MA1. Ngl I was so worried Jiahao wouldn’t make it because of lack of ST and he ended up 18-19 in these past rankings but with Tamborine and now Chains going viral I think he has a really good shot. It’s hard bc I want to 1-Pick Jiahao and Anxin equally 😭 it’s so hard to choose

-Korean fans are really pissing me off because wdym Junseo got such a low score and Junmin might not even make it to the final 16?? Also Leo getting a low score too is so unfair because I think he's the best vocalist there. It's obvious that many of the korean voters focus on the visuals or they judge based on childish drama (mnet's evil editing victims lol) So sad. - My favorite song/perfomance was chains. I also hope that the new group will have a concept like that. - Jia Hao is Taemin's son fr (they actually look similar too wow). He did so well I hope he makes it to the top 16! - idk if anyone else sees it but Haneum looks like the love child of Taeyong and Beomgyu! - My 3 picks this time were Haneum, Junmin, Donggyu/ LeeJeong (I was switching because I really wanted to support both) - If Junmin makes it to the top 16 I think he'll be my pick because it would be a crime if he didn't debut.. - There's a rumour that there will be 2 more members (producers' pick I think) but even if that's true I have no idea who they would want to choose 🥲

fr even the fancam of haneum where the fansite leak it before this got aired was so much better than the performance mnet shown. if they really were against of bright concept, they shouldn’t have included it in the debut concept mission in the first place 😣 they really make it look like sugar high performance look bad LOL

My one pick is Woojin. He made me start the show and the only reason I'm still watching it. If not for him, I would've dropped this shitty show (probably worst svs) much earlier. There are just so many problems: clear sinophobia, very unfair screentime distribution, favoritism, questionable song choices which led to mid performances (a lot worse than season 1), controversies after controversies, sooo many dramas just for the sake of it, etc. I'm at the point where I don't even watch the whole episode due to lack of interest LOL. Anyways, that's my rant :D.

Regarding the no growth part, I know what you mean. We saw so much growth from some trainees, but others are having a hard time developing their skills. We have contestants that have been delivering what's expected of them without any issues AND have great visuals. These guys should have a better shot at debuting for being able to perform ALONE. If you're competing to debut in a kpop group, the least you could do is be able to sing and dance, and do it passably well. Why should we debut someone who hasn't learned how to perform yet in hopes that they improve as they go? Let's give that spot to someone who can already do the job well! That's why I loooove the Jiahao glaze. It's been a long time coming, honestly. Same with Donggyu. Whatever screen time they're getting now is retroactive to all the erasure. Just something about Hengyu's breakdown, I felt like the masters completely dropped the ball on that one. It was so heartbreaking to hear them talk to him like that. He needed the same kind of reassurance that Junmin got from Kany that one time. Kangmin was pissed for being kicked out of Chains, and brought all of that fury into Main Dish. It was kind of the perfect outlet 'cause the song needed that energy. It was unfortunate that Hengyu needed something Kangmin wasn't able to provide in that moment. He just didn't have anything in him but anger and the motivation to scorch everything in his path lol. And it worked in his favor, 'cause he killed that performance and got the highest individual score amongst all of the trainees. I hope they were able to talk and clear the air. Every time I see ppl on twitter yapping about the freaking tws concept and vibrant and fresh, it just drives me mad af, 'cause why tf are you still going on about that... If people's theories regarding the group name hint are right, there's a good chance they're gonna be called Alpha-1, like, be so f for real. You think a group called Alpha-1 is going to be singing about fluttering hearts and high school first love? They'll be hip thrusting the floor with their hands tied behind their backs.

I agree that Mnet should have shown them sorting it out. I can see it from both sides. Honestly living 24/7 in a survival show with cameras even recording you sleeping and knowing your career depends on surviving - I don’t know how more of them don’t crash out. Gyehyeon the Verivery member eliminated last time said on a live after that he was permanently anxious now and said it’s from being on the show. Also said how he was edited in their audition to look arrogant by saying ‘I hope you learn from us’ where he actually said ‘I have learnt so much from watching everyone and I hope you can learn from us too’. So immediately portrayed as cocky and arrogant and puts voters off. Completely Mnet editing. So I don’t trust anything too much on the show as Mnet only cuts and manipulates things to show drama and what they want. These boys are living in fight or flight mode all day and night - it would get to the best of us. Even I snap and go off at my husband who I love when I’m stressed. Everyone crashes out differently. I just end up feeling sorry for all the boys there. The pressure must be intense.

sanghyeon is really really popular in korea. having the 2nd most votes after sangwon. when his interim rank was shown few hours before the voting will be closed, (he was ranked 17th) koreans really got mad and he trended having around 120k+ tweets i think? he has high chance of being in the debut lineup. i love haneum as well! he was in my 3-pick last time

this is my dream lineup: Sangwon Anxin Leo Xinlong Woojin Haneum Sanghyeon Kaiwen (i just recently noticed him) honestly, i wouldn't limit Haneum and Woojin to bright or tws-like concepts— i believe they are very versatile! it's just that they weren't given any chance to show it (even if they want to) since star creators are putting them into these kind of concepts

Actually, on the day they recorded the semi-final, many people were talking about Kaiwen's incredible performance and how well he did. I think Mnet didn't show those moments and, it was the same during class mission. 🫠🫠

my favorite performances was chains and lucky macho, as wel as loveeeee both songs I have those two on replay, main dish was also great. About sugar high it just did not resonate with me tbh, and this is coming from someone that ults nct wish, which are known for cute/fresh concepts... About my one pick, I love multiple trainess but I will just vote for geonwoo, because I think I will be fine with any line up as long as he is on there so yeah, he has won all three missions so far so hopefully the winning streak stays till the end

I don’t think Jeff is offended by Masato, Liyu and Sanghyeon at all. He is rightfully concerned that they aren’t ready to debut. Like Jeff said, these three needs so much more practice time than the others and that will not work once they debut. Nobody said that these three aren’t talented but, I think it would be better for them if they got another year of practice and training under their belt before they debut. That way, they will be much more successful once they debut.

Yeah I just think it was weird that when Hanwen was on pitch, he actually complimented him but it was crickets for Masato and Liyu even though I was surprised by how well they did. Neither of them were off pitch and it was a really hard song to sing. Also, Liyu and Masato might not make it but Sanghyeon definitely will. He’s P02 in Korea and he was trending with hundreds of thousands of trending hashtags because he ranked 17th. He’s 100% debuting and the people who think he’s not are delusional.

I am so glad that Chains won. I think their performance was the best. Like you, I think or at least hope that the debut group’s concept is more Enhypen coded, with a sexy and darker concept. For some reason Leo isn’t popular with the Koreans, and I feel so bad for him. You can tell that it is really affecting him. I wish MNET had done at least one segment on him like they did for Junmin, Xinlong and Donggyu. I am not saying that those three did not deserve segments on them, and I really like those three a ton, but I just wish that Leo could’ve gotten the same treatment. Everyone is worried that Leo will be the Jay of B2P, and will not debut despite being one of the strongest vocals. That is why he is my one pick. My favorites and my ideal group is: Leo, Sangwon, Jiahao, Junmin, Donggyu, Xinlong, and Anxin. The top 3 have been my top 3 since day 1 but, I was a fan of Trainee A and Jiahao on MakeMate 1. I was surprised by Hengyu in this episode. When he debuted with Blank2y, he was a lead or main dancer. To not be able to pick up the choreography in a timely manner, is really a problem. I also think he struggles and needs more training with his vocals. He has the gift and the ability to be an amazing singer, but I feel like he hasn’t been trained enough vocally, and therefore strains his voice consistently. I worry that he will damage his voice at some point without more training.

I understand what you are saying about Hengyu but I think it is a bit unreasonable to say that about him being a slow learner. In an actual group you don't only have a week to learn a choreo for a new song, not to mention main dish choreo is extremely difficult, and theres a lot of pressure. It's just that the rest of the members picked it up quickly. If you see vids of him from his idol days and dance challenges and even the main dish fancam, he is incledibly good and totally deserving of the main dancer position. Regarding vocals, I agree his technique isnt there and he strains a lot as you said but who else is gonna reach those high notes? Someone has to do it. Its not his fault he clearly hasnt got any guidance from the vocal mentors. I know your comment was meant with no malicious intent I am just very serious when defending hengyu lol that boy has been through A LOT and has so much raw talent

hi! just to clarify: it was the first time hanwen had a stable vocal performance (he did sclass and then dance position) so it was right to bring up that growth given how much his vocal in sclass suffered. liyu, masato and sangyeon never had that kind of performance like hanwen in sclass. meaning they were doing better than him vocally this whole time (even with some cracks in a single performance) but it’s hanwen’s first time having a solid vocal stage. masato- i don’t think i ever had a problem with his vocals. mainly dance he’s a bit slow to learn and i mentioned in the vid why that would be a problem in the real world. liyu- he’s very inconsistent. sometimes he’s on pitch and sometimes he’s not. last ep i said i saw a video of him on tiktok singing another song and i said it was actually beautiful. in this ep, in the interim he kept cracking but yes performance was fine but the other 3’s vocals were still better and i didn’t wanna keep reiterating that liyu needs work. sangyeon- i said in the elimination ep that he needs more training but i don’t mind him debuting cause he’s versatile enough to go in different concepts.

My opinions on this episode: Lucky Macho: I felt the same as you that the song in snippets is good, but as a full song it's not really going anywhere. Han Wen surprised me by finally having a stable vocal, but he still needs work and that is not a positive thing if the finals are coming up. But considering the full picture, he was able to blend in, so that is a good thing. I think Xin Long is losing his confidence in a way, and maybe he is struggling with something, but he did an amazing job. I was just sad that he kind of blended into the background and had almost no screentime (I need him in the debut line-up). Donggyu and Junmin are WOW, a perfect duo! And Junil really surprised me on this one, especially with his dancing. Overall opinion of the song > I feel like the producers tried to fit in too much of the good stuff, which made the song a bit anticlimatic, so that was a shame. Sugar High: Cute & catchy but nothing special... Yunseo was amazing, Haneum with his vocals yaaas. Liyu although he did well in the performance, he is still inconsistent and the same as Hanwen. This is not a positive thing if the finals are approaching. With Masato, he has the potential. I just think that what makes him a "slow" learner is that he overthinks his movement, which then leads to having less confidence in what he is doing. (This is what I sometimes have when I have to belt in a song or when I have to do a whistle note T_T). Sanghyeon did well, but for me, this was one of his weaker sides. Woojin was super cute but for some kind of reason it felt basic? Overall opinion of the song > I can see why this song would be a favorite in Korea, but I'm sick of this concept and if the rumors are true it would not fit the name of the group and the overall vibe of the members. Main Dish: LOVED IT!!! I'm happy that some people are recognizing the unique beauty of Li Zi Hao after this performance. The styling also helped him a lot (HE IS HOT and people are opening their eyes to his beauty a little bit). His rap was a chef's kiss, and I am proud that he could show this side of him. Kangmin really brought the performance to live with his anger. However, he should've tried to find another way to address his concerns towards Henggyu. Although I understand him that he wanted to prove he was "killing part" material and that he was stressed out because of the lack of time, he was blinded by his own ambition, which made him insensitive to the obvious panic attack henggyu was having, and I am afraid that the attitude that was shown during the conflict will backfire negatively on him, which would be a shame because he is insanely talented. Henggyu was treated like shit. The coaches should have worded their "advice" differently and, for someone who was having a panic attack and on the verge of crying in the rehearsals, they should have given him the same energy they gave Junmin (only Kany said to breathe. No hate towards junmin I love him). I completely understand his anger and I too would get a little confrontational if someone was criticizing me (in this case kangmin and his not-so-positive words) if I needed a moment to myself to get it together. The boys handled the situation so that it would not escalate, but this, too, would have a negative impact on henggyu. I also think he needs to focus on how to use his voice in a healthier way, because most of the time he is straining and if he keeps this up I'm worried he will get nodules. Junseo was hot, and the vocals were stable, but coming from a group like WEi I expected more from him, even though he is my pick. Kaiwen did amazing, and he deserved his points (his fancam really showcased what he did, and sadly it was not really shown in the episode itself). Ching Yu, although he is an AMAZING dancer, his facial expressions were too "cute" for this concept, which kinda lowered the energy for me when it was his turn. I also feel like he should have had another part to shine a little bit more because he was overshadowed, which I thought would never happen being the incredible dancer he is. Overall opinion of the song > definitely title track material and amazing energy, although this genre is not too popular in SK. Chains: ...... W O W....... Had to be the winner by default. Lee Jeong finally had his redemption moment and a concept he felt comfortable with a good part distribution. He was not overshadowed despite the strong presence of the others, so kudos to him for keeping up and not falling behind. Like you said Jeff, this lower register and melodic rap is a good fit for him. Geonwoo, either he lost confidence or he did not warm up his voice too well, because this was out of all his performance a bit weaker. He slayed everything else and, of course, VISUALS, but I expected more from him. Anxin fits the concept and his voice was perfect for the song, so that was great, yet when I saw the fancam he missed out on some details dancing wise, which made his dance performance a bit lacking (e.g. the standing air hump: the upper leg has to be bent at a certain angle and his leg was straight). He served visuals and cuntyness and did well. I just noticed that there were some things he could have polished. Leo UUUGHHH his voice. I love it. He served sexy, cunty, vocals and visuals. I'm really sad he is not that popular with Knetz, and mnet is starting to use his screentime as reaction and filler content, which makes me think he will have a Jay moment and that would be a loss for the debut line-up, because there is no use of having strong performers if there is not 1 person who is main vocal material. Jia Hao is bias wrecking me even more than he did before, and I am glad sangwon switched parts with him because that gave the performance more dynamics, and he DEVOURED his part with illegal sexyness haha. I'm glad he is getting more attention and the fancam wow!! Speechless. Sangwon, there is nothing to say about sangwon. Once again, he proved why he is the number one and why he deserves his killing part and why mnet favors him even though they briefly tried to evil edit him. He showed he was not selfish by switching his role with jiahao and this showed he is a team player and sees the bigger picture, which is a good sign and honestly not something just anyone would do in such a competitive environment where every moment matters and where basically any opportunity can change your fate. Which also shows that he has the confidence that he will make it even if he only has 2 seconds, which makes him even hotter hahaha. Overall opinion of the song > SOTY can't say anything else. This has to be the concept of the debut line-up and, honestly, I think the benefit should have been an MV to see how they would perform in that setting.

If anything this episode made fans disgusted by the judges attitude rather than Kangmin. To a lot of ppl they seemed extremely apathetic to his situation. It also doesn’t help that a couple of episodes ago we saw Junmin (no hate to him) being almost babied by them and mnet when he didn’t feel well, but when Hengyu has a panic attack they look at him like they straight up hate him. This show feels very sinophobic to a lot of watchers and it’s turning them off from the show itself rather than the trainees.

But honestly now is what counts! Please consider voting him for your one pick if you’re able to! He’s super talented but also a humble sweetheart. Mnet of course hasn’t given him any screen time, and I doubt they will, but he also has a kinda sad backstory. He’s on the older side for trainees and has been training for 6 years. He was on a survival show called Makemate (with Anxin, Hyun Jun and also Kaiwen I think) and was seriously loved by all the contestants on the show. Like he was the center for their signal song and was viewed as the all rounder of the show. He wasn’t ranking very well but then in the semi-finals, his rank jumped to 1st place but then somehow ended up falling all the way to 9th in the finale and he ended up not making the debut lineup. He felt almost abandoned by his fans and obviously took it pretty hard because honestly EVERYONE thought he was gonna debut. A lot of people suspect rigging from kbs, but I honestly think that it was probably just a Sunoo during Iland moment where his fans got complacent because everyone thought he was safe and then he ended up not making the lineup. Hao was already having a hard time during that show because he had trained for so long and was getting older and thought it was his last chance. He decided to come on this show to try one more time with Anxin but I really do worry that he will give up after this! He’s super talented and it would be a waste to lose a gem like him!

I totally get where you're coming from but I also don’t think it’s fair to take what one mentor said and project it onto the entire panel. They can’t just jump in with “Onestar, you went too far." because that would cause disruption and awkwardness within the panel. At the end of the day, they’re professionals, and their job is to give critiques for the contestants to learn from. Can those critiques sometimes be harsh or even uncalled for? Absolutely. But that doesn’t mean everyone on the panel should be held accountable for one person’s words. I hated seeing Sun Hengyu break down on stage, but we don’t know what happened afterward. The mentors may have spoken to him off-camera to make sure he was okay. I also appreciated Kany showing concern in the moment asking him to breathe when she saw he was struggling. Honestly, I believe that if she had been closer to him (since he was up on stage while she was seated further away) I think she would’ve hugged him. She’s very motherly, and it’s clear she truly cares about the contestants. That’s why I wish people would stop comparing Kany consoling Junmin to this situation. The harsh comments came from Onestar, not her.

Yea it for sure would differ. If the rumors about 2 judge picks are true, I would be ecstatic! If we disregard Mnet manipulation (like Mnet forcing the judges to pick certain participants that they want which is unfortunately very likely) I think we could get some boys who truly deserve to debut in the lineup. I feel like I can very confidently say that the Judge’s favorite contestants are easily Sangwon and Jiahao, with people like Leo, Junmin, Donggyu being close followers. With the high probability that Leo and Sangwon will debut from popularity this could get us gems like Jiahao and Junmin in the lineup if the voting doesn’t work in their favor so I am crossing my fingers that this rumor is true

For some reason, with this mission, I was so aware of the repeat cuts and who received them during the performance! I think it's because, halfway through me watching Main Dish during the episode, there were none of the usual repeat cuts, and that was WEIRD considering there are two Top 8 people in the song. These were the people that got repeat cuts: Donggyu, Junmin, Sangheon (the only repeat cut in the entire performance), Sangwon, Jiahao, and Leo. Idk I think with this mission since pretty much half of the performances had zero of the normal repeats, I became hyper-focused on it and what it could potentially mean for who Mnet wants in the final lineup (or pushed into the finale at least to create another group for them).

I forgot to mention Yumeki in Lucky Macho. Yumeki is an amazing dancer and I know he has his fans (I am a big fan too) but honestly considering the idol world in terms of vocals or rap he still needs to improve. I know he really wants to be an idol and I respect that, but he needs to work more on that. The reason being (at least from what I have seen on the show). Signal song was hard for him except the dance but I can ignore that since it was the start of the show. Then came whiplash he had maybe 4 seconds which aside from the dance was not mind blowing at all and didn’t showcase anything vocally challenging. Then came Tambourine (studio recording for the dance) nothing special there, amazing choreo yes, but, nothing special vocally. And now lucky macho and he has maybe 4 or 8 seconds of rapping, again nothing special. Even if he would end up in the debut line up as maybe a sub rapper I don’t see him having any unforgettable moments in a song aside from maybe a dance break center moment but that’s it. And that is not something we need in a performance, dance and vocally strong group to be.

I know! Kaiwen has been gaining fans through each of his live performances with the audience. That has allowed him to keep progressing, since Mnet does not give him much screentime — not even when he was KP in ‘Tambourine’ Xue Suren mentioned that in the choreography Kaiwen was the center in several parts, but Mnet ended up focusing on others during those moments. So, much like Wang Zihao, Kaiwen has managed to make it this far largely on his own. At least Anxin and Jiahao have received screentime in the recent episodes, and their skills have been acknowledged. In conclusion, Mnet is not a big fan of Chromosome trainees 🥺🥺

Also to play devils advocate: 1 was midway check and 1 was rehearsal before the semifinal. Plus Kany said some pretty harsh things to Junmin "you can not disappoint me right now... you have to prove yourself to everyone..." but you can only hear it in the background between cuts. They edited out the harsher words.
