They talked about this in a recent interview all 5 mvs James did the directing and he was so passionate about it he really is so creative

Fashion and Joyride was shot in New Zealand. They rode a helicopter to get to the glaciers on top of the mountain!

They released original MVs for “What You Want” and “Fashion,” all directed, edited, and produced entirely by the members themselves. The official “Lullaby” MV basically copied their version — and in the “Lullaby MV Behind,” you can even see them meeting with the director. The original versions of “Lullaby” and “Joyride” are already documented in the documentary, so it seems like the full versions won’t be released. As for “Go,” their version was shown at the release party. You can check out their MV commentary :) The members themselves talk about the storyboard and their filming ideas — those things are really fun to watch! 🥳 Also, a fun little behind-the-scenes fact: in the Zach Sang Show, Martin mentioned that all four original MVs were edited and post-produced by James. And in the “Go” MV commentary, Keonho said that since James was too busy with so many things, each member made their own edit of “Go,” and Keonho combined them — so there are actually six versions of the original “Go” MV! 😆

Oh! And btw, the official Fashion MV wasn’t based on their original one — their self-made MV was actually used as a reference for the concept performance video (the one with all those wild flashes) 😆

Thank you so much for this Jeff :) also hoping you will react to their conceptual films next, those are the vids where you can see their whole choreography and performance!

Hey jeff! didn't know where to comment this so I'll just do it on this post. I was wondering if you were ever thinking about reacting to Close your eyes. I know you said you were thinking about it but then saw that one cover they did at that award show which probably didn't give the best first impression... You totally don't have to of course but I just wanted you to know that even when the final members were announced on project 7, everyone was worried who the vocalist in the group would be because it was mostly just really great rappers and dancers and inexperienced singers, but they quickly proved us wrong! Their debut song All my poetry has such a new sound in k-pop and their vocals are so beautiful on not just that song but the whole EP. Snowy summer their follow ep was also so fun!! They are definitely still growing in terms of live vocals, but I think they have a really great discography that I would love if you checked it out! Their newest comeback is tonight!! :)

ooo I actually did see a snippet somewhere and I was like whoa this might be worth checking out. BUT now I'm thinking if I should Project 7 first before checking out the official songs...

natalie

For sure!! project 7 is totally worth checking out. I don't even know why it doesn't have the same popularity as some other survival shows. The stages were actually insane quality, and they also chose great songs for the missions. Although I did hear that their vocals sounded verrrry different in the venue compared to the episodes. Still had incredible dance performances though!! (my favorite dance stage was 'closer' from the first round)

I'm sure many companies/ artists will try to copy them somehow because their ideas are sooo creative. The industry definitely needs a change right now

48:49 i think the reason not to include the choreo for Go! was because they are releasing conceptual performance films for each song which has all the choreo

Frances

They have a video on their channel called "last freestyle class" and its just a compilation of them freestyle dancing that I think you would really enjoy to watch!

Lei

I'm waiting for ALD1 And ZB1 variety reaction 🥲🥹

1. They did shoot "Fashion" on location! They were in New Zealand. 2. I'm old enough for the AIM/MSN days ~*wHeN wE uSeD tO tYpE LiKe tHiS*~ 3. During the documentary when they were recording, they WERE all screaming something like, “cut out the bullllllshit” (I don’t remember which episode it was to go back and check what they were saying verbatim. That line didn’t make it to the final song though) 4. I lOVE “Joyride” and “Lullaby” so much. I love all of their songs because I think they’re bringing a youthful kind of refreshing vibe to the k pop scene and then you have these two songs, which feel so unexpected when you know them through “Go!” and “Fashion” and such. Ugh, they’re so fun. Glad you reacted to all of this!

Ana
